The thing I enjoy about vids like this is the banter with the family members - and this guy is really entertaining with his little quips lol Another great thing is that it's clear that Alex wants to WORK with the family and guide them on what to look for when they're ready to clear out the stuff in the house and NOT rip them off. They both benefit and it's refreshing to see an appraiser not looking to rip off someone who knows less than he does on certain things.
Rough Adidas Shoes: those were the Stan Smith model. I wore out several pairs in the 1980s playing racquetball several times a week. They were the preferred brand. 😉
When you got to the vintage clothes, I was fascinated. I am in my early 70’s and remember wearing those classic clothes when I taught school. The furs were out of range, price wise, that is. This was one of your best videos in a while.
Hi Alex. My neighbor died and left huge amounts of trains (in boxes), coins, WWII medals… Have been inventorying lots. If you are possibly interested in this…his widow asked me to help her … please let me know.
I’ve been watching you for years! I thoroughly enjoy how you dive into a hoarder house. And how in the heck do you get it done so fast? You’re such a generous man, your family is lovely. Will be watching as long as you record.
The treasure hunt is great, but the interaction with the family members is the best! The way you are interested in their stories without trauma sourcing for the views is what makes this one of the nicest corners of RUclips. Cheers from one of those people who wears those old clothes 😅
There was a brocade shift dress in the green clothes bag. That looked like a bit of a treasure but only saw for a second. The coats! The fur collared coat and the green plaid coat. Fabulous! What a great collection of vintage clothing!
My daughter would be in heaven going through those vintage clothes. She’s a reseller & does very well. I’m always surprised when young people buy to wear.
OMG, seeing that INCHWORM brings back memories. We gave one to our son for Christmas when he was maybe four yrs. Old. He called it his *DOANIE^. He used to lie underneath it and use his toy wrench and pretend to repair something. My husband was a mechanic at the time and our son was imitating what he was used to seeing his father do.
My grandparents are still using a 1950s fridge. The wedding heart thing may have held the wedding rings during the ceremony. Some of the old jeans might have value.
In the UK we have several programmes on the TV which recycle and refurbish junk, furniture, cars, bikes etc. One is called Find it, Fix it, Flog it and this garage is ripe for that.😊
I'd take every single one of those records, those are some real good albums. ELO, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Supertramp even April Wine man I hope you bought them all
Awesome video! So many things that seemed so familiar. Okay... things I had. 70's was my time. Really fun . Thanks to the guy showing it and allowing it to be taped.
Great tour of accumulated and treasured possessions. Glad you had an interested family member to join you. Very glad he had a dust mask for you, Alexander. There was a good exchange of information back and forth, with a minimal use of snarky "dad jokes ". The travel trailer could be a fun little series. Maybe find an appropriate tow vehicle to pair with it.
We had an old wringer washer at the cottage. We just loved it , in the spring we’d do all the bedding and it was so much faster than the washers. Blankets were never that dirty so it was more of a refresh . Did all the laundry in record time. Wish we still had it.
Hi Alex That Tall Corning Ware Coffee Pot In Cupboard Was Recalled Years Ago By Corning Ware For Safety Use Measures & Should Not Be Recycled To Use, I Know Cause I Had To Give Mine Up...
My first reaction after seeing the whole video and the clothes that were shown throughout was..."MAKE AN OFFER ON THE CLOTHING!!" It reminded me of an abbreviated version of the haul you made several years ago from "Madame Whatshername" (forgot her name lol)
That was fun seeing all of the older items with you. I love to see it when you give them an idea of what is valuable and what is not, instead of being greedy about it. That gentleman seemed very nice and you two got along very well. I know how hard it is to part with things after a parent passes, but he seems to be handling it pretty well. Thank you for the video.
Great time digging through all the stuff. Love it, especially the clothes, my Grandma always made us girls some polyester double knit clothes. Brought back some great memories. Have a great day
I must add this: At 37:28 after your "I'll Wok-away" joke, and the Just Do Me sweatshirt. There is a blue denim shirt I have on right now from the 70's at 14:05 CT, St. Louis, Missouri! Wow! Again, at 46:46 you called the butt of an M-16, a Tommy Gun. Being a small arms expert from the USAF, I wanted to correct you before someone negatively responding to it. Funny thing about the M-16, the outer cast was plastic like a toy gun, so it was affectionately called a Mattel 16. Since you liked toys you could try to find one still complete, but most of them jammed during heavy firefights. I was just young enough not to have to go. My father was an Officer and a Rocket scientist in the USAF from 1957 to 1980. He didn't create Agent Orange, but we knew where he lived. Sorry for that downer moment, just sharing.
Sometimes your videos make me feel soooooo nostalgic… to the point that I could maybe understand being a hoarder. I’m not. But wow… just looking at some of the things you come across just invoke good memories!
Way cool . One of those outfits, I thought of Florence Henderson right away . Old rock and vintage rock shirts are desirable . But you overlooked the marbles . Cats eye ones and ones that glow under a black light are the most sought after. I’ve discovered another vintage category for you : Lawn sprinklers 😊😊😊😊😊
Now THAT was cool. Those stickers on the fridge brought back so many memories. The clothes were awesome. I love that you also gave him some very valuable advice. Sometimes you just don't really know what you have or if it is actually worth anything. I kind of wish we had been just a little bit hoarder-esk as some of the toys we grew up with are now worth so much more. I've even seen the same items in museums. Seeing them made me feel so super old (I'm 47, so not 'super' old) and trying to share my recollections with my 26yr old son just didn't interest him so much. Oh well. Thanks for bringing us along on this hunt, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Blessings to you and your family.
Always fun to watch you search for treasures! When I switched to flat screen TVs, although not ancient models, I gave away two tube TVs and that’s exactly why they wanted them…for vintage gaming.
I still have my Fisher Price Castle! It was my favorite toy of all time. I need to replace the horses because my cats chewed the feet off them, but the pink dragon is in perfect condition.
Watching these videos 1-3-2 and seeing stuff from the 3rd here. The unearthing of the bike after I just saw it all washed, and the clock with sconces from the 60's at 14:14 wow! This is giving me chills with memories of toys and games. Thanks.
This was super fun and interesting. I adore the clothes pulled out last, the beautiful dresses and in super cool dry cleaning bags.. hopefully they will stay with the outfit. The son sounds so nice, good luck to him and his family in clearing out the rest. Cheers from Ontario
Dear Mr. Archbold. Unfortunately I don't need to discover this because I have it myself, actually around me. 😁 ;-) 🙈 Best regards, luck and especially health to all of you.
Funny when you found the rotary phone and saying kids don't know how to use them, because Fisher Price still do their toy version and kids like playing with it plus it features in the Toy Story films as well.
This is much like my parents' house, complete with those old style suitcases (which I kept). My father saved EVERYTHING, even old bills before he got married - Edison Light bill for 45 cents (which I kept, lol) and so on.
This man was so helpful and I loved the banter between the 2 of you . Can't wait to see everything you can find . Interesting shirts for sure . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤

Would be nice if the other person was mic'ed
He sounds like such a lovely fella. I enjoyed the friendly banter
I literally just said the exact same things to my husband. We are kindred, you and I
Canadians friendliness with one another, enjoyable and inspiring.
What a time capsule house!!! Found myself often shouting,"Hey I had that!"!!!!❤❤❤
Rough Adidas Shoes: those were the Stan Smith model. I wore out several pairs in the 1980s playing racquetball several times a week. They were the preferred brand. 😉
that fella sounded like a truly lovely person....how cool is this?
I like how you are advising him what to look out for.
Vuarnet Shirt at 38:31- those were SOOOOO popular late 80's early 90's! I would have definitely scooped that one up. :)
When you got to the vintage clothes, I was fascinated. I am in my early 70’s and remember wearing those classic clothes when I taught school. The furs were out of range, price wise, that is. This was one of your best videos in a while.
Hi Alex. My neighbor died and left huge amounts of trains (in boxes), coins, WWII medals…
Have been inventorying lots. If you are possibly interested in this…his widow asked me to help her … please let me know.
Hello :) Alexander’s email is curiosityedmonton@gmail.com
You should email him

omg Woolco! this is a stroll thru the memories, the blue suitcases too!!
Wow! It’s amazing to see how well Alex knows his stuff and can stroll around and spot all the goodies at a glance!
The blue glass in the door between the kitchen and the next room! Love it!
There was a brocade shift dress in the green clothes bag. That looked like a bit of a treasure but only saw for a second. The coats! The fur collared coat and the green plaid coat. Fabulous! What a great collection of vintage clothing!
He could get a lot of $$ if he sold those ,60's and 70's clothes to a production studio!
@@lisagrafton2529 Like which production studio, which studio do you know that has a wardrobe department?
@@joshr9417There are places who hire out costumes.
Nice to see you enthusiastic again, it seems a while since you were that animated. Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧
Wow, jackpot 60’s and 70’s time capsule….AGAIN,😮 ❤
Dude has so much valuable stuff
Oh those ladies' coats and dresses at the end; love them!
That 'Phantom of the Paradise' record! Paul Williams. Wow!
My daughter would be in heaven going through those vintage clothes. She’s a reseller & does very well. I’m always surprised when young people buy to wear.
Right after I commented I hear Alex say his daughter wears the vintage shirts. Yep!! Young kids love vintage
I know it's a lot of work but I like the hoarder houses. They are like a time capsule. Maybe the son doesn't mind, less he has to deal with.

The old food boxes and tins are so cool so much history in a home like this also those band t’s and rock albums are awesome
I love the way you explain what’s valuable considering you’re there to
buy stuff, not many people would share that information so good on you xx
I enjoy all your videos but love when you get to go to a home where the folks have great vintage stuff
My grandparents are still using a 1950s fridge.
The wedding heart thing may have held the wedding rings during the ceremony.
Some of the old jeans might have value.
Especially if they're Levis. Red tag and large E get a good price.
Really enjoyed this video. I have missed your "picking" excursions.
In the UK we have several programmes on the TV which recycle and refurbish junk, furniture, cars, bikes etc. One is called Find it, Fix it, Flog it and this garage is ripe for that.😊
I luv it, "a going out dress." lol
I'd take every single one of those records, those are some real good albums. ELO, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Supertramp even April Wine man I hope you bought them all
April Wine is great! Canadian too. Can't believe he skipped those LP's.
Single stitch t-shirts always do well. Love treasure hunts.
Nice to have another o n e of these search and rescue vlogs! Thanx Alex! ❤ XXX
Awesome video! So many things that seemed so familiar. Okay... things I had. 70's was my time. Really fun
. Thanks to the guy showing it and allowing it to be taped.
The colors on the vintage clothing are beautiful 😊
Great tour of accumulated and treasured possessions. Glad you had an interested family member to join you. Very glad he had a dust mask for you, Alexander. Always interesting!!! The fellow is so friendly too! His voice at first reminded me of Austin from the Potter's House 😊
Stay cool in this heat Alex. Great video my friend!!
That MCM clock and matching sconces ❤ I hope you bought those
The clothes were a great find. Here's hoping the Suzuki runs too. I enjoyed this Alexander. Thank you
I love how Alex is educating this seller. No gatekeeping. No slick Rick moves. It’s just refreshing that Alex is sharing his knowledge.
Great walk down memory lane! The Vaurnet t-shirt! Vaurnets were THE sunglasses of the 80s! Red and mirrored. 😅
Really enjoyed this video, thanks for taking us along😊
It was fun that the fellow was so cheerful and chatty with you. Cool stuff
Interesting finds! I had the same “ants in the pants” game when i was a kid.
My parents' wallpaper in their bedroom is so similar to that, but black instead of red. The pattern feels like a velvet texture.
It’s called flock wallpaper in Britain. It was very popular in Indian restaurants.
The wallpaper is from the 60s and was called flocked wallpaper. My parents had very similar in their master bedroom.
Great video Alexander! I loved it right at the beginning how your jacket matched the little camper like you wore it just for the video.
Love the variety of your videos.....one never know what's in that drawer, or closet....lots of treasures in this one!! ... Best always....from BC
I can't believe you passed on the marbles! I would have picked them up.
Greatly video Alex. Love the vintage clothes. Makes me want to go back and watch your hoarder house series again!
My first reaction after seeing the whole video and the clothes that were shown throughout was..."MAKE AN OFFER ON THE CLOTHING!!" It reminded me of an abbreviated version of the haul you made several years ago from "Madame Whatshername" (forgot her name lol)

Very nice, thanks for taking on your hunt for treasures ❤❤
Great time digging through all the stuff. Love it, especially the clothes, my Grandma always made us girls some polyester double knit clothes. Brought back some great memories. Have a great day
My BFF in high school was our valedictorian. Her parents bought her a new 1973 Nova for graduation.
I must add this: At 37:28 after your "I'll Wok-away" joke, and the Just Do Me sweatshirt. There is a blue denim shirt I have on right now from the 70's at 14:05 CT, St. Louis, Missouri! Wow! My first car was a Chevy nova ❤
Mine too. A '74 Chevy Nova hatch back 350. I loved it!
Sometimes your videos make me feel soooooo nostalgic… to the point that I could maybe understand being a hoarder. I’m not. But wow… just looking at some of the things you come across just invoke good memories!
Oh my gosh! I hope that mother of pearl compact set in the box makes it to auction! So beautiful and would have been very expensive when new. 😍
Gosh i have missed this type of video, great to see you back. Your sense of humour and banter with the householder.
I'm so happy you're back into digging through old houses like this. Though all your other content is interesting as well, I missed these videos.
A lot of things and apparently a very nice gentleman giving you the tour! ❤
Now THAT was cool. Those stickers on the fridge brought back so many memories. The clothes were awesome. I love that you also gave him some very valuable advice. Hi Alex. It’s always fun looking in houses with old stuff. Enjoy and hope you find some good things❤️👍
Always fun to watch you search for treasures! When I switched to flat screen TVs, although not ancient models, I gave away two tube TVs and that’s exactly why they wanted them…for vintage gaming.
Playdoh dentist?? Cool! I've never seen that one. The vintage clothing was amazing.
That house was awesome! So many cool vintage finds.
I still have my Fisher Price Castle! It was my favorite toy of all time. I need to replace the horses because my cats chewed the feet off them, but the pink dragon is in perfect condition.
This guy seems like someone you will keep in touch with, very much the same as you by my ear.
I thought so too.
Those wringer washers are sought after. That’s worth getting. Those old washers clean your clothes better than the ones they have today.
Watching these videos 1-3-2 and seeing stuff from the 3rd here. The unearthing of the bike after I just saw it all washed, and the clock with sconces from the 60's at 14:14 wow! This is giving me chills with memories of toys and games. Thanks.
vinyl flocked wallpaper!
Thanks, this was just like old times.
Talk about a blast from the past. So many memories have been stirred up for me. Thank you 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for the video 🙏
I would have bought all the clothes in that house!
I was saying "make an offer on ALL of it". Apparently he didn't hear me 😂
That was fabulous. Very interesting. The family member was very friendly and helpful.
Thanks Alex , that was a lot of fun.
Love you from Florida. Stay safe we love you
I would be getting all those vintage blankets and bedding .. I would be bringing home so much stuff from this house !

Huge score on the concert t-shirts
Funny when you found the rotary phone and saying kids don't know how to use them, because Fisher Price still do their toy version and kids like playing with it plus it features in the Toy Story films as well.
Loved Streetheart! Everybody that ever met him says Kenny Shields was a great guy.
Wowzers, so much 80's nostalgia.
Vintage bedding and fabric can have value. Especially the unopened
This is much like my parents' house, complete with those old style suitcases (which I kept). My father saved EVERYTHING, even old bills before he got married - Edison Light bill for 45 cents (which I kept, lol) and so on.
Absolutely phenomenal the stuff in the garment bags!!!
You are so good at spotting the toys!
Thanks for bringing us along!
Recognized the dj boxes right away.
Love your channel. Always excited and surprising
Really enjoyed the video thanks for sharing
Awesome pick!
Those clothes are absolutely stunning😮❤
I loved my 75 Nova with 3-speed on the column. Probably one of the best running vehicle I ever owned.
Loved this good that the guy was chatting with you and you telling him what to look for ,some interesting stuff
This man was so helpful and I loved the banter between the 2 of you . Can't wait to see everything you can find . Interesting shirts for sure . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
