The first song MISTERYO is about unrequited love, a love that you are so hopeful for but not meant for you. IKOT-IKOT is about a toxic relationship that's just a cycle of love, fights, make up, repeat. Ikot ikot means round and round just like a cycle. KILOMETRO is a song about a very strong love. A love so pure and strong that a person would go kilometers, push boundaries for the person he/she loves.

Sarah likes to collaborate with her composers. Like she tells them what she wants her songs to talk about or how they should sound. Like for her song Duyan, she wanted a song that shows the sultriness of a true love. She said that her song before, Ikot-ikot, is a heartbreaking or sad song and she wants a song opposite of that. And for her song Ganito, she wanted it to tell the story of how you don't lose the one you love. And for Tala, that was originally a slow song but she told the composer that she envisions the song to be a Dance Song and that it will turn to a craze. Which eventually happened, btw. 😉 For her other songs, she co-produces them and she sometimes edits the lyrics (with the composer's approval, of course) based on what she feels is more appropriate for the meaning of the song. I think a lot of the songs she makes, she contributes much to earn her a composer title but she refuses it and just gives that to her composers because she respects them like that. She made a song called Make Me Yours which is a worship song because she wanted her first self-composed song to be her prayer every night. She still wants to compose more songs and I think she's working on that skill. She even said that she wants to study Music Production for her to be better at composing and producing songs. It's just that she's a very busy person so it's hard to squeeze in some time. But I hope she fulfills that dream of hers. ❤️

Sarah always sings with an open throat and a warm tone. A nice warm and soft tone. It's not just in her Tagalog language.
Mostly her songs came from different composers but Sarah makes sure to collaborate and work on the quality, she chooses which songs to sing. She decides how she want them to sound. She changes some of the lyrics. She keeps reinventing herself and her music.

Actually, Sarah's songs aren't as high as other singers' but hers are very hard to sing. It takes a good breathing technique in order to nail her songs, that's why only a few can sing her songs and nail it.

I love her so much. She’s my favorite along with kat velarde. She has her own unique voice. A total performer. She doesn’t need to copy anyone. Real queens are meant to b originals. Theyre the ones being copied. You should watch her “tala” live performances, where she dances and sing all through the song. And her amazing michael jackson tribute dance, this is when i started to become a fan when i saw this uhmazing performace. She’s beyond amazing!

Thank u! It’s alright Yazik. Everyone has different opinions & preferences. U can say what u wanna say as long as it’s fair & respectfully done. We as a fan take it. Problem with some reactors is that they are judging SG based maybe on some of the haters comments about her Or judging her on some videos they saw. First Sarah is the Queen of this generation and a lot are forgetting that she was a Champion on a national TV singing competition hosted by the Queen herself Regine Velasquez. And you’re right she’s more popularly known as the popstar princess when she was starting at the age of 15. But known she’s called Popstar Royalty. I do believe that her vocals has a lot of range. As far as sometimes she sounds like the artists she’s covering I don’t think she’s trying to copy them.as they said she has a really great ear so that’s probably why she can sound like the original. Anyways that’s a talent too to me. But I don’t think it’s intentional on her part to sound like that. You’ll be surprised on what she can do. It’s limitless. She’s a versatile artist. She can do any genre and she’s used to sing and dance with hardcore choreography at the same time.

Some of her songs were pre-written or already has lyrics and she's the one adding the melody(ex. Misteriyo, Ganito, etc.), some already have lyrics and melody but she helps improve it by adding a rap part or a bridge(ex. Hingang Malim, Sandata, etc.) and some songs satisfies her already that she only involves herself with the vibes of the instrumentals and the background music and vocals(ex. Kilometro, ikot ikot, etc.).
This medley was part of the unified concert with Regine.

I’d recommend you to react to her cover songs during her home quarantine: Greatest Love Of All; Paraiso (with Yeng Constantino); and In The Name Of Love (with Regine Velasquez) - apart from her Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud cover.
You should react to her prod at the ASEAN Music Festival, Tokyo, Japan where she sang and dance to her two original songs, TALA and KILOMETRO. It’s highly recommended and you won’t regret it!

1. Misteryo (mystery) - written for her. But she's part of the creative thinking of the song on how she wants it to be. Talks about the mystery of being in love. Wether to show or hide it. Wether to fight for it or just let it flow.
2. Ikot ikot (in circles/ round and round) - written for her. Talks about Love as well. On how it is a circular pattern. U love, u hate, u forgive and love again - on a repeat cycle. Comparing it to a bus route..
3. Kilometro (kilometre) - written for her. I think all these three were written by the same composers. She loves working with them and i understand why. Talks about no distance can stop u from loving someone.

She is also recognized the Michael Jackson of the PH. She was even recognized as Asian Best Performer & Classic Rock Icon in Japan not including her recognition from Baf and other International Award Giving bodies in Europe, Korea, US, & World Music and most recently the highest award recognition from Nigeria given to her. She is now the most successful and well respected artist in the PH. The weird thing is she's getting all the endorsements in the PH during this pandemic. Hope she can still handle all these blessings.
