I wasn't wrong when I thought that Coach Yazik would probably do a reaction video with this as I read his post 2 days ago asking what new performance he could react to and a lot of Filipinos responding about this. Thank you Coach Yazik. Just my 2 cents about this performance of Sarah G. I was thinking that Good Friday in the PH would turn into a normal day without any life changing event as metropolitan and nearby provinces were in lockdown due to pandemic but it was around 4pm when RUclips recommended the video of Sarah singing Were You There When They Crucified My Lord during their church worship event. God!!!! Forget about 'belting or biriting' in the universe when Sarah G was there wearing a simple white collared blouse with simple hairstyle and there she was singing asking everyone 'Were you there when they crucified my Lord?'. It was goosebumps everywhere. Good Friday it is! Sarah G is in the house taking you to church!!!! The way she sang it, you would definitely think or believe that even you were not there, she was there when Jesus was crucified & nailed to the cross and when he was laid in the tomb. The one sang me a song but the other one has spoken to my soul. And Sarah G belongs to the latter. She doesn't simply sing but she conveys the message to you. She will take you to the place of what she's singing about. For me, that is all that matters. Now, let me share this: a vocal coach and a musical director (they are Morisette's Team) who already reacted to this performance of Sarah G said that no other songs can be compared to a song that is worshipping God! It doesn't matter how many awards a song can get and won, if it is not a song to worship God then it is nothing compare to the latter one. Sorry for my long comment. This is my 4th time rewatching this reaction video without skipping ads and I couldn't help my self to comment. Will rewatch this tomorrow before my shift starts at work in the office. These songs were performed in the same night where she sung Celine's I Surrender (the one you already made a reaction) to God.
