I’ve used these gel stripes and nail polish strips in the past when I was in bit of a hurry and didn’t have time to do a cute design on my nails. They did hold up pretty great but I experienced the same thing with getting hair caught in the strips after 7 days or so. Overall these are good to have on hand for quick nail designs if you don’t have the time. Great video !!!!

Fell down RUclips rabbit hole 🙄searching for reviews on the GC nails, lol. Soon as I caught that you reviewed ‘em I KNEW I was going to get the information I needed✨
A UV squish light helps with preventing hair getting caught. Just press on all sides of the nail before curing. Also, do not slather oils on freshly done stickers (that loosens the adhesive) and I do mine before bed so that they are not exposed to water until the next day. 😊
I looks like these gel strips have different curves at each end - one end seems to be flatter than the other, this would enable you to match the curve to the shape of your cuticle. Great review Suzie
I bought some from Amazon different color same brand. I did everything as you did with one caveat, I put a coat of clear builder gel over it after one week to seal the edges so it would not catch my curly hair. They last 3 weeks, I took them off to change the color and due to nail growth. This was an easy way to save my nails by giving them extra protection but allowing them to grow without tips acrylics or hybrid gel. Thank you for sharing this Suzie I saw them on Amazon a week ago they caught my attention I have a few designs in my shopping cart I’m getting ready to checkout in the next few hours I am very pleased to see you apply them👍🏽😊
Absolutely any nail question, I know I can count on Suzzie to have the answer. Currently transitioning from my awesome nail technician to at home application and was hoping this was an option as I have hard gel in now. Thanks for the education like always❤
A trick to not get your hair stuck at the edges is by using acetone to thin the edges. I use a nail art brush to brush the acetone around the edges about 10 times per nail. I then use gel top coat. I also find it easier to cure the nails first and then cut off the extra length.
I have natural, not too long but really thin and bendy nails. The gel ones they cure get nice & hard and keep my nails from tearing. I love them. They usually stay on a week, sometimes a week & a half but I’m hard on my nails and type on a keyboard all day long. Also I’ve found a glass file works best.

Great video! I prefer polish & doing my own nail art, but I was curious to see how well these work. Now we just need someone who's clever to figure out how we can make our own gel strips able to be set aside to be applied at a later time. *That* would be cool!
You take gel polish, make a design on a rubber nail mat ir plastic wrap bag, etc. Semi cure it or if you want plain polish, jut use polish and let it dry. Then, follow the same steps to apply. 😀
I love these and can't wait to try them! I just recently and finally stopped biting my nails completely. Yes I've been biting them for 41 years, but this should help me out tons! P.S where did you get those beautiful glasses?! Amazing look on you! Love the tutorials! 🤓
I’ve been using nail stickers from Shein with a gel top coat for durability. They’re not all created equally 😆 Some are so thin and tear easily and some are great. I tried the semi cured gel ones for the first time yesterday. Wow! The application is so much easier. They don’t curl up when you apply them, they hide nail ridges, they don’t crease or bubble. However, I never experience hair snagging with the plastic stickers but the gel ones are snagging.
I have the Dashing Diva UV wraps on for a week now and I love them. No lifting. I did gel top coat the and seal the tips. Lasts longer. I’m a nail tech in Michigan and I started adding these as a service for my clients. I have all different colors and designs. Try the Dashing Diva ones. I get them at Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply
When I'm feeling sad or down I tend to do self care, ie skin care nail etc. Dashing diva is amazing and helps my weakened nails. They last for so long, and even my mom can keep them on, and her nails are SUPER oily.
I prefer shorter nails so the few times I used the regular peel+stick style strips, I'd cut them in half and reshape the larger ones and I'd get three full manis out of a pack. There was one brand that had enough for me to eek out nearly a fourth; in that case, I used coordinating polish for two nails.
I think these are super cool, esp for those nail emergencies, you have to go somewhere and its last min so cant get an appointment at salon, you can just apply these, also i think it can also be used in a salon as a quick sticker gel service can be charged a little cheaper. I wonder if it would last longer if you had put on topcoat? also if you can kinda file around cuticle area to make it more flush? oh my brain is just thinking of all the things one can do with these lol. thanks for sharing
Okay these companies give you absolutely no information about application. I learn a way more watching your video than any of theirs. 😮 thanks so much!
You are wonderful! I did notice when you went up a size that you said the cuticle area was too square. It looked like the other end was more round. You could have turned it around.
I use these. All different brands but dashing diva I find at tj maxx for less than 5.00 a pack. They are 100% worth the money IMO! if i paint my nails with gel polish it peels withing 7 days. I've tried like 20 brands 3 lights ph bond many top and base coats and I can't get then to last more than 7 days.... but these last me 2 weeks. I usually change out at 10ish days because of grow out! I work in the medical field and wear gloved 7-9 hours a day and wash my hands atleast 100 times.... these last better than any product I've ever used.
Yup, I love Dashing Diva. The only problem is, with all the moisture my hands are exposed to, between washing/sanitizing my hands and washing dishes, sometimes the moisture gets trapped underneath the nail strips and causes a little bit of staining or fungus.
@@charlenejo2490 weird.... I literally wash my hands like 100x a day and I get none of that. I do top coat them though. I use the sally Hanson hard as nails top coat because its slower dry time so it doesn't shrink the wraps. It takes about 5 minutes to fully dry, its not to bad really.
I use nail strips all of the time and have been for a couple years. I do use them over builder gel and I always use a clear gel top coat to seal it all in. They last until I take them off.
They’re pretty cool for people who want cute nails and don’t have the skill or time yo gain skills to do designs. I prefer painting my own but for a sometimes mani these would be pretty cute Edit: also I wanted to mention I’ve watched another nail tech/RUclipsr Tatyana Bugry do gel strips and she suggests using a cuticle stick to apply the nail strips so you’re not touching the part that sticks to your nail. And she stretches them over her nails using the stick as well. It looks and sounds easier said than done lol.
You, my dear, are reading my mind. I just ordered a set of stretch to fit semi-cured in a style that matches our team colors, just for fun. I learn so much from your videos. 🙏 Thank you. ❤️🥰
Thank you so much for testing out products like these. I’ve been curious after seeing a number of at home dip products advertised…care to give that one a go?🤷🏼♀️😊 Could it really be an option?
My favorite semi cured gel nail wraps are by Jelcie. They're stretchy and the strips are longer so you can get more manis out of them. Removal is very easy too.
I use these whenever I want to do my nails since they are quick easy and durable (Im a stay at home mom of 1 crazy girl, a spoiled cat and 2 hyper guin pigs and I love to make crafts lol) they last about 2 weeks give or take for me even with all the dishes and laundry and cooking and more lol
Aww luv ur chanel, iv just leant polygel and 1 of mine is shaving on my hair, its gligter polhgel, never tried a system like it, so quick 😮😮, iv managed to get 2 of 5 perfect, first try very pleased, although was hard to get off, iv bn able to pull the others off easily with a dip in acidtone, and orange wool sticks
In my experience, the gel nail stickers last pretty well even if the only thing you do is use the prep pads they provide, and you don't use any extra top coat. Some random ones I got off Amazon lasted at least a week - I took them off after a week because my nails grow fast, not because they had started to come off or anything. I think they probably would have started to lift up in another couple days if I hadn't, but again, that's with me doing almost literally nothing to extend the wear time. I didn't even push my cuticles back.
I just ordered the quinnas brand, have you tried them? (This is my first gel sticker buy) 6 sets and UV lamp for less than $13! Also 8 sets of toes for under $6! but we will see mainly bought the toes for my daughter to have nails (since the nail beds are smaller with toes)
Can you do a video on like proper cleaning of tools for us at home that do our nails? And how not prevent you from getting allergic reaction to product? I have been very careful at not getting product all over my skin and still got an allergic reaction after over a year of doing my own nails. Thanks suzie!!
Oh that sucks eh. Sorry to hear that. Allergies don’t have much to with not being clean, it has everything to do with yr own bodies sensitivity and uncured product - so many variables like the lamp the amount ingredients the product and how you use and incompatibilities. 🙁but yes good idea
I dont think they look all thst great, but I do like how they wear! I think the thickness is key here. I would be interesting in making a template card with my exact nail shapes so i could create my own gel strips.
Love watching your videos Suzie! I do have a question so if anyone else can answer for me from experience. I’ve been wanting to try these so bad but I am a mom of 2 boys and am constantly doing dishes and bath time and such. Can anyone attest to how well they last through the soap/water trials of motherhood 🤣

I have some polish strips from Color Street, I find they aren't as easy to get off the backing paper, I have some on in between my nail appointments. It's nice to not have the mess around my cuticle and skin from nail polish though.
Hi Suzie I have one ❓ when I'm doing gel polish after applying base coat some time I applied wrong color on nails before curing if it's reminds me so I take it off with acetone and I feel that base coat stickiness went also with it which is necessary for gel polish so what I have to do in that situation?

Hello Bernadine 👋
They’re pretty cool for people who want cute nails and don’t have the skill or time yo gain skills to do designs. I prefer painting my own but for a sometimes mani these would be pretty cute
Edit: also I wanted to mention I’ve watched another nail tech/RUclipsr Tatyana Bugry do gel strips and she suggests using a cuticle stick to apply the nail strips so you’re not touching the part that sticks to your nail.
Hello Dana 👋
Great review Susie, especially to see how long they lasted.
I use Dashing Diva Glaze and they are great!
Thank you so much for testing out products like these. I’ve been curious after seeing a number of at home dip products advertised…care to give that one a go?🤷🏼♀️😊 Could it really be an option?
She has videos on dip powders. See the first 5 videos here.. ruclips.net/user/NailCareerEducationsearch?query=dip%20powder
Hello Cherry 👋
I just recently started looking into these and didn't know how to use them. I knew you'd have information on it 😂
My favorite semi cured gel nail wraps are by Jelcie. They're stretchy and the strips are longer so you can get more manis out of them. Removal is very easy too.
Thank you!
Hello 👋
Great video! First time I seen them used with no top coat.
Hello Rhonda 👋
I use these whenever I want to do my nails since they are quick easy and durable (Im a stay at home mom of 1 crazy girl, a spoiled cat and 2 hyper guin pigs and I love to make crafts lol) they last about 2 weeks give or take for me even with all the dishes and laundry and cooking and more lol
Aww luv ur chanel, iv just leant polygel and 1 of mine is shaving on my hair, its gligter polhgel, never tried a system like it, so quick 😮😮, iv managed to get 2 of 5 perfect, first try very pleased, although was hard to get off, iv bn able to pull the others off easily with a dip in acidtone, and orange wool sticks
very interesting product i wonder how it is removed? do you have to soak/file them off? or can they just be peeled off?
Hello Marie 👋
Use plain nail polish remover. I use NON acetone and it works just fine
@@katherinegoldeneagle2665 thank you!!!
@@mariejane8428 You're welcome
I like how 1 end was square and the other end was round!
I'm sorry I was wrong maybe it was the angle I saw my apologies!
You were right/ it was like that. Guess they are giving options
Try Jelcie! Women, POC owned semicured gel brand with the BEST designs.
🥰love your videos 😍😍 you are the besttt
Hello Gezen 👋
In my experience, the gel nail stickers last pretty well even if the only thing you do is use the prep pads they provide, and you don't use any extra top coat. Some random ones I got off Amazon lasted at least a week - I took them off after a week because my nails grow fast, not because they had started to come off or anything. I think they probably would have started to lift up in another couple days if I hadn't, but again, that's with me doing almost literally nothing to extend the wear time. I didn't even push my cuticles back.
Dude this looks so good I wish I could do it but I don’t wanna waste money 😂😂
Could I also do it without the cure light?
I just ordered the quinnas brand, have you tried them? (This is my first gel sticker buy) 6 sets and UV lamp for less than $13! Also 8 sets of toes for under $6! but we will see mainly bought the toes for my daughter to have nails (since the nail beds are smaller with toes)
I ❤ u. Im from quebec and i love your videos.thank u for that 😊
Woww Amaizing...I Love it
Can you do a video on like proper cleaning of tools for us at home that do our nails? And how not prevent you from getting allergic reaction to product? I have been very careful at not getting product all over my skin and still got an allergic reaction after over a year of doing my own nails.
Thanks suzie!!
Oh that sucks eh. Sorry to hear that. Allergies don’t have much to with not being clean, it has everything to do with yr own bodies sensitivity and uncured product - so many variables like the lamp the amount ingredients the product and how you use and incompatibilities. 🙁but yes good idea
Oh definitely I will try them
I dont think they look all thst great, but I do like how they wear! I think the thickness is key here. I would be interesting in making a template card with my exact nail shapes so i could create my own gel strips.
You have to try the Jelcie ones! Such an amazing company
Hi, i was looking closely and one end seems squareer and the other rounder for application near the cuticle (?)
Thanks. You are amazing.
Love this!
I used gels when they first came out in the 90's when the lamps still burned your fingers. Products have come so far
I wonder if it would work well with nail forms to help make a nice u-shape at the end?
Love watching your videos Suzie! I do have a question so if anyone else can answer for me from experience. I’ve been wanting to try these so bad but I am a mom of 2 boys and am constantly doing dishes and bath time and such. Can anyone attest to how well they last through the soap/water trials of motherhood 🤣
Thank you so much for the review. I dont know if you read these or not. Awhile ago (maybe 2yrs) you did a video on a mask that had a small fan and filter in it. I have looked through your videos but I can't find that one. Is it possible for you to share a link for it?
Hi Susie, have you ever tried Dazzle Dry nail polish? I would love to know what you think about it. I love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you make them ??? I want to make my own vs buying them
Very pretty 😀
Hello Jenn👋
I have some polish strips from Color Street, I find they aren't as easy to get off the backing paper, I have some on in between my nail appointments. It's nice to not have the mess around my cuticle and skin from nail polish though.
Hello Jana
Do i need to file the surface of the nail to make them stick ?
Hi Suzie I have one ❓ when I'm doing gel polish after applying base coat some time I applied wrong color on nails before curing if it's reminds me so I take it off with acetone and I feel that base coat stickiness went also with it which is necessary for gel polish so what I have to do in that situation?
How does the strength of these compare to acrylic?
how long will it last after watering
