    Hey Guys!
Today I managed to get the Parcel Tray of the Audi A4 Dynamatted and started building the baffle(s) for mounting the subwoofer to the underside of the parcel tray. (Rockford Fodgate T1S1-10)

I can't wait to see the completion and sound quality. I don't want to take up space in my trunk, but would like to replace my Bose system in a North American 2nd Gen Mazda 6. Very similar to the Audi your working on right now. It also has the minimal sound deadening like the Audi, so I would put extra material in place.

this is still my favorite go to video for my audi sub woofer parcel rear deck up grade. anytime i want some inspiration i watch this again! i plan to actually get this same woofer except the 2 ohm version. i want quality sound more than just louder, which it will already be louder from stock anyways. i also plan to use the zapco Z-II series amplifier; Z-3KD II with the Z-150.6 II amp. it will be just a clean system with oem looks! which you have created here. i hope you never remove this video. i dont think ill have time to do this for another few years tho. also JAMES, i hate that you no longer want to do car audio even on your spare time. traitor!

Infinite Baffle works really well with big subwoofers or multiple small ones. He will get bass but it may need a lot of power due to the large size of the trunk. i have used 2 12's IDMAX's (running ~600wrms each off an old school PPI) before in a similar setup and it was the best bass i have had in a car. I won 1st place for SQ at a local competition with that setup(also had 3 way upfront controlled with a DSP crossover with time alignment). Let me know how it sounds, im curious to see if the small sub worked well.

Tip for next time...screws down each mounting hole. Place cardboard up against screws to locate. From above mark circle.

this would be very hard because every vehicle is different and the equipment your using would be different. also what sounds good to you may sound terrible to someone else. you can get a general idea but. in the end it would be down to your own specific vehicle

      +wax333 is right
Tuning a system depends on equipment used and the listener
A lot of what I do when I tune a system is experience based and it's kind of hard to teach.
I tend to show how I tune a system in almost all of my project builds but it's different every time.

What a hassle the bezel seems like a nice fit but. I wonder if it enough depth for the membrane flex

Hey James. i have a car like yours mate, and am considering putting a floor mounted subwoofer under the front seat. What brand model recommendations would you recommend? I am swaying towards the Kicker Hideaway based on reviews.

I'm hoping you can help. I own an Audi A4 B8 and when the climate control module is switched on, I'm getting a high pitched tone coming from the driver's side dash speaker. This noise is audible with or without any other sound playing through the speakers. Any ideas why this may be happening? It's driving me nuts haha

Why was this particular subwoofer chosen? I looked at the specs and it doesn't say that it is designed for free-air installation.

to fit in factory locations without impedeing on trunk space
