Not really, there's a filter on his voice to make him sound more threatening. If you watch it on any of the later releases (where a workprint version of the dub is used), you'll hear what Justin actually sounded like.
The psycho voice sounds a lot like Babidi. Considering that Buu must have listened to Babidi rant multiple times about making Supreme Kai pay for killing his dad, it must have eventually rubbed off on him.
More so a revelation of the mistreatment he suffered at Bibidi's hands babidi's father. The only other time buu was overpowered was by being sealed in a ball by Bibidi even just to go to a new planet. Imagine the pain, it disintegrates him into a smoke-like gas and he's so powerful he most likely had consciousness through alot of it despite not being able to articulate. Most animals and people know when they are being treated bad. Gohan reminded him of his helplessness against Bibidi's magic and he came out to show his displeasure
What makes "You're missing the point" so terrifying that despite the fact that Gohan was completely dominating this battle, Buu was able to instantly make it apparent that he was really in control the whole time.
Wish they continued this detail in Kai, because it really adds to the Cosmic Horror vibe Buu had and a reason why he was feared next to Frieza and Beerus.

The point that Gohan missed was, is that this is no longer a “fight.” I’m not powering up to fight you, I’m powering up to kill you. So that’s why he wanted to do it Vegeta style and wipe him out, but knowing he would regenerate it would be worth it.
More like Super Buu pulled out an even more explosive variant of Fat Buu's angry explosion, one that used pure evil instead of frustration causing Super Buu's variant to be so deadly it almost took his own life too. I was happy with that, but this Buu, THIS BUU, gave me chills and literally sit back into the couch after those 3 voice changes. Like damn he really was losing it!
Yeah. He did suck pretty bad in this saga NGL. I understand his power level is way lower compared to Buu's power level but he still could of lend a hand.
Why is it that there are two different funimation dubs for this scene? Like, Buus voice goes high like in this one when he says, “you’re going to pay for everything you did to me!!” and in the blu ray version, his voice stays normal when he says that. I love the high pitch psychotic sound in this version, and it sucks that its not on the blu ray. :(
dragonj33 This version's from Toonami and the old Single VHS and DVD releases. The Blu-Rays are the remastered version, where they remove the lower pitch modifier from Super Buu's voice (for some reason).
Uhhhhh.... *THIS SCENE* ? *B R U H* Kai WAS like THE butcher. They tossed everything good out like a moldy salad and put in balls alright. Should be dragon ball sack because kai sucked dragon balls. Of course, you would never see that put in kai, they'd censor anything interesting about the show. @@calebcalhoun9847 I would say in general, but this scene is a good example of why I don't always like it when they use Japanese only dialogue. Somehow, it made Gohan even dumber, because he's standing there while Buu is screaming how he'll blow himself and he isn't moving away or doing anything.
Super Buu outclassed Gohan as far as this battle goes. Even if Gohan is more powerful he is no warrior. Battles are won by strategy not how many blows you can land. Gohan is a procrastinator and toys with Buu giving him a chance to lower Gohan’s guard. Vegeta was right! His battle with Dabura proves it.

Justin Cook with the reverb effect on his voice will always be better than the Remastered DVD sets without it.
😂😂0:16 OMFG! The way his voice cracked is priceless and sounds more like Babidi on steroids. LMFAO!
And the face... jumpscare man 😬

I like this version more, the one where they put creepy pitch and echo effects on Buu's voice to make him sound more threatening.
“Bro but Kai is actually word for word like the manga”-typical anime autist
I am happy they did the remaster and cleaned up so you can see more and get more violence, cause hey you can’t fight like that without a bloody nose or mouth. I was happy with that, but this Buu, THIS BUU, gave me chills and literally sit back into the couch after those 3 voice changes. Like damn he really was losing it!
This stuff was uncut long before it got remastered, dude. The only thing the remaster did was dick around with the image and butcher the sound mixing.
0:29 Gotta love how protective and fatherly Piccolo is.
Ultimate Rodgers Take your assholery elsewhere. What did he ever do to you?
Rose whip that guy
No need to be a jerk, internet is anonymous but that doesn't mean you can't be civil.
@Ultimate Rodgers everyone dislike his comment
Holy hell that’s a nightmare I love Super Buu 0:51
Super Buu is a savage
Does anyone know the name of the track playing when he says "You're missing the point"?
road to the time chamber.
Thank you so much. My ringtone has a new transformation now.
@@bubbyyy5361 lol
What is the name of track that plays at the beginning of the video
This is actually so damn badass
That thumbnail just shows how insane Buu is
Same energy as “Hello Mario”
They butchered this scene in Kai
It's not like there's anything bad about people trying to shoot kamehameha waves and being randomly motivated to transform...
Kai butchered most of the buu saga
@@voices4dayz469 "dragon ball sack"😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@voices4dayz469 You're not funny.
@@calebcalhoun9847 I would say in general, but this scene is a good example of why I don't always like it when they use Japanese only dialogue. Somehow, it made Gohan even dumber, because he's standing there while Buu is screaming how he'll blow himself and he isn't moving away or doing anything.
Damn near sounds disappointed “you’re missing the point” 😒
Is nobody talking about how Buu's ki literally turned into a typhoon while he was powering up? That was raw

You’d think after losing his father against cells self destruction due to his procrastination then he’d be a little more like trunks
Yeah I can see why the guy who made this video hates Gohan.
I love the Buu saga so much actually.
This is what I have nostalgia for when it comes to Dragonball, not Frieza sage or Cell saga. It's this arc and these fights starting from the tournament all the way to Goku vs Kid Buu.
Buu was such a banger villain
As soon as I realized Buu actually had really high battle IQ it was obvious Gohan was fucked.
I think the op has beef with gohan 💀💀💀
0:11 Clearly Super Buu Had Hatred For Vegito And Gohan

💀 got me gasping for air
Pencils were sharpened, but points were not made
I just realized i watched everything from Cell and the after world tournament several dozen times but only seen the buu battles once.
