I'm with you on this one brother. My wife loves the Y EDP and it's her favorite among my collection, but I just got the Y EDT and I myself find this more addicting to smell than the EDP. I just can't stop smelling it. Sometimes EDP can feel too heavy but the EDT is like cotton candy, light, delicious and airy which I want to enjoy all day!
That Y bottle definitely feels quality.
This is the one that really got me into collecting. I copped ysl ultime and got a sample of Y since it was the newest release at the time. I fell in love with both and started collecting and wanting more and more. Now I own ~20 fragrances lol
I love the EDT. Macy's had a sale 200ml for 89.99. blind bought and was not disappointed!
To me the edp is the best performance, the edt is a perfect office scent for work. The parfum smells the best to me and lasts in between the edt and edp.
The EDP performed so well on my last vacation. Compliments from strangers at my resort and all. I may have to get the whole line.
So far, I've tried this, edp, and eau fraiche. All great
Some people swear by the Live version and some think it's a waste. I only own the EDP and was only considering getting the Fraiche. Hard to beat that Kingdom price though.
I've had this since it launched 2017. My friend who is a rep for L'Oreal gave me a tester. Nothing but mass compliments. Women absolutely love this. This is great because it's different then all the other blues on the market. I agree 100% with your take one this.

Great review on one of my favorites and you were pretty spot on with it!!! About Y EDT I always say if a fresh crispy white t-shirt had a smell it would be Y EDT!!! Its just so fresh and crisp with just enough sweetness in it makes it a great well balanced scent perfect for nice spring days, casual wear and business casual office wear!! The 1 thing i didn't agree with was the EDP and EDT are redundant. You can definitely tell they are in the same family from the way the apple hits this DNA but the EDP adds the blue vibe (Dylan Blue to me with the sweetness) to the DNA and turns it into an almost new scent to where if you love Y EDT on days you want a bit more with some of that blue feeling EDP is the way to go!!! But like you said it is a monster!!! I love all the Y's EDT EDP and Friace i will have thr parfum soon!!!
I just got mine last week and I gotta say, smell wise, I actually prefer the EDT. Performance wise, of course the EDP. All in all, I love both of em.
Comeback: The other times I was using a travel decant. Now with the bottle this pushes 7+ hours. Compliments consistently. Great scent!

I just bought a bottle of A&F first instinct together thanks to you. I find it's like combining Invictus Aqua and YSL Y. Y is a very good fragrance. I perfer the EDT over EDP also.

The first time I tested the EDT at a mall store I absolutely loved it but never purchased a bottle because there were other fragrances I was considering.
Then the EDP was released and I got sucked into the hype and many reviewers were saying the EDP was the concentration to buy so I pulled the trigger on the EDP at duty free.
After a few EDP wears I found the scent quite aggressive and on occasions annoying. I sold the EDP bottle because this didn't give me the enjoyment of the EDT. Will look to purchase the EDT.

Hey Ross I Fully agree with You YSL EDT is the best from the LINE For me as well . I think sum don't understand Ysl Y is a VIBE meaning it's Calm , It's Airy, Doesn't Need to Announce itself but its there. Not every fragrance needs to Announce itself. And that Classic Sage dry Downdown .

Wore it today since I commented on your video yesterday! It has been awhile since I had worn it but enjoyed it and it lasted my whole 11 hr workday.
I love the EDP, but if I’m looking for a warm weather option, it’s the Eau Fraiche. Definitely not beast mode, but more appropriate for summer.

I wanted the EDT and let guys in the groups talk me into the EDP. After trying he EDT after already getting the EDP I wish I would’ve got the EDT. Not that I don’t like it, but I agree with you on it being too strong. I do have the scentual obsessions EDT and it’s pretty damn close to the real deal.
I like both. I just prefer the edt a little more

I love the EDT it doesn’t get much love anymore after having both the EDP and EDT I see why the EDP gets so much love but that original does so much for me. It’s even more of a compliment puller than the EDP in my personal experience but the only downside side of the original is it doesn’t last long in comparison for me and if over sprayed it’s gonna cause a headache lol. But overall the EDT is an 9/10 and the EDP is an 9.5. I definitely have to try the newer ones
I can concur with the sweetness of Y EDP. I'm not too crazy about it but it is a very very nice scent. Y Live would be more up your alley, Ross. Smelling it now, it has the citrus and fresh components of the EDT but with the sweetness of Invictus, so having a balanced hit of the bubblegum sweetness known in regular Invictus with a bit more of a ginger kick. If you have a lot of Invictus frags, this can be a tad redundant, but if you love the DNA, Y Live is a good option that I approve of. This will be the sweet spot between the EDT and the EDP for you, I believe. I need to try the EDT though because those notes look amazing. :)

My favourite mass appealing line. Each release from this line amaze me of how well they are put together. I need to try the EDT and perhaps I might get a bottle to replace my almost empty bottle of Versace pour Homme. By the way Y live is amazing and in terms of performance it's a beast.

This one is probably my favorite Go to every day, Extremely versatile depending on the sprays but definitely not as loud as the EDP. I definitely recommend this if no one has tried it

Another good review. I’ll go broke keeping up with these recommendations lol. I blind bought the EDT recently. It was on offer at a local department store. It’s light and fresh. There’s something about the dry down that reminds of Body Kouros. I was expecting it to last a bit longer. I like it, though.
I’m EDP all day. I agree it can get overwhelming if you spray too much. All these Y’s smell the same to my nose for the most part. The EDP actually last 2 days even after a shower.

I recently bought the EDT as it had 33% off, but couldn't help feeling I'd cheaped out and kinda regretted not going for the EDP, especially with the hype around it.. but you've made me feel better about my purchase. Knowing my taste, I think I'd probably agree with you regarding the EDP maybe being a bit too much at times.
I will say I only get around 4 hours of good performance, but I can easily put that down to my being a 'two-sprayer'! I'll up my sprays to five with this one, feeling confident it won't offend as it is a damn nice scent! Cheers!
Try the y live Ross. U may already have it but if u don’t it’s better than the edt. Better performance smells more natural and blended better. It’s smoother the edt can be sharp or harsh at times in the opening to mid. The y live is also sweeter and can be used in the same situations as the edt. The y live is more versatile also
Got given a full 100ml bottle of this from a retailer that I know where Ive spent alot of money, she put it in the bag and said shhh, and im more an EDP buyer as i go for the longevity but also learning they can be sweeter, personally if i was to buy this id prob go EdP but hay when it is given for free straight out of the box, you don't complain, it does smell great its not anything mind blowing but you smell fresh and thats what you get.
Ysl y I love it, the first time I sampled it in the store I bought it with no hesitation!
Have you tried Y Live? It doesn’t perform on me, but it’s one of my favorite scents of all time. Glad it doesn’t perform so I can throw on some extra sprays. Give it a shot!! I’ve used half of a 60 ml bottle in less than a month, and I have a decent sized collection... says enough for me!

Just picked up a 2oz bottle at Nordstrom for 41 bucks . Glad i did . I love the edp but this will help me stretch my edp longer 😆

I've got a few samples from Macy's. I will never be without Y edp. Y edp was so good that I wrote the edt off. After sampling I realized I made a massive mistake. Will be getting a 200ml bottle asap.

I have the EDP, and I agree it's almost too much. Two sprays is plenty one on either side of the neck. But I have pulled some good compliments with it. I'm not really interested in getting the EDT because I have the EDP. But I would like to get the live. I've heard it goes in a different direction

I know you said it's redundant to own both the edt and the edp, but I still think I'm gonna pick this up. I absolutely love Y edp, but I would love a fresher version for those hot summer days. Maybe I'll grab a 50ml of it. Or maybe I'll wait to see what your thoughts on the Eau Fresh flanker are.

So....this does not last at all on my skin. However, I always spray one on my chest straight out the shower and then a few on my under shirt before applying. I can still smell this on my shirt 24 hours later. I don't know what to make of it. LOL
Usually all frags last longer on clothes. Sometimes I would put my face in my shirt throughout the day just to get a whiff. It’s also said that others can smell us more than we can smell ourselves bcuz we get used to the scent and not able to smell it anymore

I have a big bottle of y edp and love it. Unfortunately y edt smells too similar to y edp for me to add it in my collection. It would be redundant for me but the y line is straight fire Nonetheless.

I have Y edt ,,,,,,Y edp,,,,y live ,,,,,they all get me plenty compliments the edp smells fantastic even better with the aftershave balm on aswell absolute beast

Really good above average to average performance not a Monster. Edt 2a7la ka smell. Same smell just darker edp. Aqua di gio and profumo same stuff. Edt 2a7la casual. Better in the summer
I'd like to hear your thoughts of Ajmal Mystery. Man for the price and smell and performance it's so good. It's def one of the best cheapies out there.
I love Y edp, I got Y edt on the way along with la nuit de l'homme eau de parfum, and I am incredibly excited for both!

I bought EDP because of the hype. By far my most complimented fragrance, but it does get a bit much if you spray too much. Wish I started with the EDT. I may still pick this one up.

Honestly Ross i purchased new the 60ml EDP YSL I wish i'd chosen the EDT EDP is just to beastly sickly sweet. To much,..my EDP i still got approx 58ml in the YSL Y EDP remaining!

Off topic, but can you review Juliette Has a Gun Another Oud? I’ve smelled it once on a female. It smelled unisex to me, and I liked it. I found it for $48 for a 100 mL tester on Fragrancebuy. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger, but reviews from those I know and trust are scarce. And reviews are hit or miss seems like.
It doesn't really interest me. Especially moving into warm seasons. Maybe next fall/winter if it peaks my interest

Ross or anyone, I just got this, this month(October). Wifey bought it for me cuz she knows I’ve been into collecting. Is this ok during the cooler seasons??
Soons she brought it in I sprayed it on back of hand right after kissing her. I love the opening and with it stayed that scent. The dry down is on point too but the opening is just the best part for me. I might have to keep reapplying just for that part lol. Overall I like it and don’t know how long it will perform til tonight. It’s a warm early October here but it’s going to be cooling down soon and just was wondering

I'm wondering where people are getting 6-7 hours from. Unless I spray heavily (8-10) I'm fortunate to get 4. I still like it, but performance is where it falls short for me.

You're right. I wore it today and it seems like it stayed a long time on my clothes but didn't do much on my skin. Very interesting. I wish I was one of the people saying it's beast mode, but everyone doesn't have the same experience.
As far as blue fragrances go, I figure that Acqua Essenziale Blu is still your favorite. Or is Y competing with it?
It's close. Definitely really digging this. Not sure anything can knock AE Blu off the pedestal I have it on though lol

Nah Ross...u wrong on this one. The EDP is better & the new flanker is the best of the line. Also, Explorer is better than this one. I wasn't a fan of Explorer at 1st but it's good.
