@@7860092 Yes!! That's why I mentioned that. I usually don't get compliments and most of the reviewers are talking about compliments for many many gragrances as it is something that happens often. No it doesn't happen often. But this guy whenever he talks about compliments he means that. This is the difference.

Who else loves the Y line just because they smell great, I can care less about compliments even though with the edp you'll will be complemented. But I just love how they smell all of the Y line ☺️

Dude, you are the best Perfume influencer on youtube so far, at least for me. You are very natural, honest, sympathetic. Keep up the great work. BTW, your series on niche fragrances was awesome. Please repeat with different niche frags. Just my two cents. BTW, I'm others when it comes to Y fragrances.
My blue scents are Rasasi Hawas and Shaghaf, Armani Acqua Di Gio, Percival, Versace Pour Homme, and BDC EDP
Ashton, i get that compliments are not as important for you. but it is also necessary that ppl don't find the scent bad/offensive. as a mature nose, you may have developed a thing for certain kinda notes/smells that the normal crowd can't take. from that perspective, i think mass-appealing scents are better. at least i don't risk chasing ppl away from me haha.
Great breakdown as always, Ash. I have the Y EDT and absolutely love the scent, but the longevity leaves much to be desired. Once that bottle is gone I will be picking up the EDP. Cheers!

I didn't like YSL Y so I don't know if I'm going to like this. I spend so much time at the fragrance section of the department store smelling stuff that I think the assistant thinks I'm into her, but its just the fragrance I am there for. 💘 😆

I was always confused when people called Y edt and edp "Blue" fragrances. I don't own either but I have tried them on skin and they smell really sweet to me, much closer to a bubblegum than a blue fragrance.

I don't typically believe or buy into hype, but this fragrance scored me a random compliment from the cashier while grabbing food yesterday. I couldn't even smell it by that point so i'd thought it became a skin scent at this point. Guess this might be a dangerous scent when I daily drive it and invevitably wind up going to the grocery store lol. I haven't had that happen to me yet, but I guess it might just smell that great on the outside or to those who don't know.
Can't wait for Y Parfum this would be the most hyped for next year.
You are the only reviewer that seems to get the “yvictus” association with this line and I appreciate it. I got the exact same association with the Y EDP in the dry down, Invictus! I was hoping this YLive version would be different but it doesn’t sound like it. I am also not a big fan of Invictus.
I absolutely love Y edt, but wasn't a fan of the Edp, it was too sweet and strong. But I'll definitely check this one out

I'm a big fan of the Y EDP. Actually in my top 5. With that said, not buying this one until next Spring. Going to stick to Hugo Boss the Scent Private Accord and Azzaro Wanted by Night as my go to frags for Fall and Winter. Great review.

“Y-Live”! I prefer your pronunciation with the LONG “i” sound.... The SHORT “I” is too gloomy, especially this close to suicide awareness Day😭🤭😌…!!! Focusing on your video Sir: You didn’t disappoint as usual and ty 4 that!!! Fragrantica is horrible for note breakdowns and the Parfumeur behind the Blend... This something I’d really like to buy and own.... Pear and grapefruit are two notes that I find very enjoyable....

Been into Fragrances since I was about 10 years old(sometimes more then others) and got my first bottle of Preferred Stock for Christmas...
I found your channel and it made me jump back into “collecting” fragrances... I will usually always have a couple bottles of cologne.. minimum of 5-7 bottles.. The most I’ve ever had at once... About 40.
Not long ago when I found your channel, I was sitting around the 5-6 bottle mark... after a few months of watching... I’m back up to about 22-25 fragrances...
I’ve really opened up my Fragrance repertoire from watching your vids and wearing Fragrances I would not have, just a couple years ago... But I’m in my mid 30’s now, have been in the “corporate” world for 10 years.. so was looking for more mature Fragrances... But didn’t want to smell like my Grandpa(but all respect to the retro Frags)...

Matter of fact, it's my "scent of the day."
For some reason, by the time it dries down to a skin scent, on my skin, at least, it becomes a pleasing barbershop-esque scent.
Sometimes mass appeal fails (Dior 2020) and Sometimes it dominates (Sauvage). I just got Y live in the mail this morning and everyone whos sniffed it so far is crazy over it. It's the same old magic trick but people seem to like it.

Ash, love all your stuff (especially your 80s movies reviews). I'm a big fan of Y EDP. Is this Live a redundant purchase or is the Invictus vibe strong enough to make it stand alone? I do love the Invictus line as well which I own all of but Legend, I think they are great casual fun scents.

Y EDP is my girlfriend's the most favorite fragrance from my collection...more then heavy hitters like aventus, sauvage, la nuit, the one edp and Chanel eau extreme. So the question is, how much percentage wise Y EDP is different from Y live and if you already have Y EDP does it make sense to by Y live ?
I have a sample of live, honestly it smells almost identical to my nose. I don't think it's worth buying

Nice Vid. I really liked Y EDP for that smokey sage note in the mid with the fruity top. I was thinking about picking up a bottle to have as an all season dumb reach. Should I wait to try out Y Live or go with the EDP? I would imagine the price on the EDP would drop on discounters when this version hits shelves...
YSL fragrances don't really get discounted much, and Y edp is still relatively new

I have Y EDP, will my nose recognize the difference between this & edp? Because my edp bottle is about to be empty and I don't really prefer buying the same fragrance again even if I love it, so I hope you understand my way that I won't be interested in this as long as my nose won't see the difference between the 2 flankers, and I would love to ask you one more question: does this perform better than the edp?
