I would actually buy it, I’ve wanted to buy so many of them, but if Ryan and Colin, arguably the absolute masters of improv, (especially in our day and age) made one? I would buy it..
Not gonna lie, this was perfect. Exactly what I want out of these things: Their views on whose line games old and new, lovely banter (especially between Ryan and Colin), their backyards woah! Answering fan queations... Wish I could also watch this live the next time, but I would have to stay up for so long lol.
I must say “ Whose Line” is one of my absolute favorite shows. I watch it on RUclips on my Firestick TV. & I watch episodes over & over; sooo very funny. Whenever I need &/or want to laugh (which is often), I put on “Whose Line.” I never get tired of reruns. Love ❤️ u all. 😘
I saw Mr. Brady and Mr. Magnum in Red Bank NJ back in October and it was amazing!! I hadn’t laughed that hard since I saw Mr. Sherwood and Mr. Mochrie there back in 2011 on their “Two Man Group” tour. Comedy geniuses.
I've met Colin once. I went to a show with him and Brad Sherwood in ottawa years ago. They were saying hi and shaking hands with people by the doors on the way out. I did get to say hi, but of course, you only got a few seconds. Thank you to Brad and Colin for that. it made High School me very happy.
This might be controversial, but my least favorite games as a viewer are the ones that rely more on second hand embarrassment than improv as the primary source of comedy. That includes anything with a non-improviser guest involved (celebrity or audience member), as well as what Helping Hands became over time (it used to be about trying to create a cohesive performance, then it became about making a mess). All of these have exceptions, though. Sometimes there's gold in them there hills. I think maybe those kinds of games are more crowd-pleasers for the live audience than for home viewers, or maybe it's just me.
I definitely agree, especially about Helping Hands. The only Helping Hands I like anymore are from the original British versions when the concept was still fresh, particularly those without food. There's a simple yet but brilliant one about feeding and changing a baby, and there's another where Ryan was a surgeon. Both are comedy gold! Since Drew and now Aisha, it's just "how many gross combinations can we stuff into Ryan's mouth?"
@@ElectroTherapyFTSoul Yeah... And even the singing or rapping games, Greatest Hits, Scene to Rap, Show Stopping Number and various other musical games that have been done over the years are generally so much more fun to watch than the serenade sort of thing where they bring someone out to sit in a chair and passively be sung at, because that can easily devolve into a series of customized pickup lines, which is probably great for a "girls' night out" sort of situation (as much as I don't like to needlessly gender things, there's been a general pattern), but has diminishing returns as a recurring segment on a long running weekly TV show. The patterns become obvious and the awkwardness gets amplified over time.
It's not a controversial point if it's absolutely true~ . . . . But yea, recently I've re-enlightened about what the CW, Dan and Mark are pushing with their celebrity gimmick. Years and years of networks losing faith in the product, and by extension the people involved, that an improv show can only go so far by being no more than just an outlet to plug viewers outside the demographic to shows they don't wanna watch, or people they don't follow. And because of that the games, content and quality of the show suffer and itself loses relevance. And going through the current list of guest stars in their catalogue, I can guarantee that at least half of them and their contributions are timely for the average viewer, NOT timeless. . . . . No wonder after a few years the network and producers caved in and started releasing guestless episodes, which I hope continues~
I just want to thank the cast of all the iterations of this show for all the years of laughter, especially when I needed it most. ALL the cast are brilliant, and it's often difficult to say who kills me the most...although Colin being Tim Conway to Ryan's Harvey Korman is right at the top. The best part is I can find a clip from the early Drew version that I've seen a thousand times -- I know what's coming (hell, I can repeat the lines!) -- and i STILL laugh until I'm cryingt!
Whose Cast Is It Anyway? Or Whosecast for short. Personally, I would love that. Do you think they would still try to do improv games? I don't know how that'd work, but I think it could be fun.
I was binge watching Murdoch last night and was thrilled to see Colin in a serious role! He was excellent. You guys have given me so many laughs during rough (or boring) times. Thank you so much.

Ryan with a beard... is like Colin with Jonathan’s hair.

Can we get the crew to play Cards Against Humanity ala Aisha's TableTop experience?
How about an improv game? Do a scene like a job interview, but as you do it you need to use random Cards Against Humanity cards into the conversation.
Id love to see her make them sit and play D&D.
