Hey Letric, just watched your video titled "Letric" on RUclips and I have to say, your content is amazing! Your energy and passion for e-bikes really shines through. Speaking of e-bikes, I recently came across a new crowdfunding project called freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. It's a game-changer! One of the most outstanding features is the ability to charge the bike while using it indoors. How cool is that? The combination of indoor fitness and outdoor exploration is something I've never seen before. I'm really excited about this project and can't wait to see it become a reality. Keep up the great work with your videos, Letric!
Never saw your videos. I have to admit I thought I was in for another guy that didn't know anything about or how to explain stuff. But kudos to you great job. I will watch more of your reviews.
Review is good with great information and camera work. Really enjoyed it. Motivated me to with the GTX due to my height. May be a while till I see it but hopefully its awesome when I do.
That’s a good choice. That extra power will make a big difference, and after I swapped the rear shock absorber in my GT, I found it it rides a lot better with a proper airshock. The GTX comes with an air adjustable rear shock, so it will be a smoother ride than a standard GT. I think you’ll love it and have a lot of fun with it.
Pretty fair review. I'm surprised with that suspension that they use those giant tires. I wonder if range/speed would improve with less rolling resistance tires. I agree with you about the looks, they did great there.
It would definitely be more efficient with smaller, lighter, slicker tires. That’s what I would do if I was going to replace the tires. When I switched my mountain bike from big knobby tires to slick tires, it was a lot easier to ride fast. There’s a lot of rotational mass and rolling resistance in fat knobby tires. But I think market forces force them to make a fat tire bike because it looks so awesome with the fat tires and having knobs on the tires makes people think they can go off road with it. I’m sure a lot of people buy bikes because of the way they look, and they really got to look right on the RAEV Bullet GT. I might try putting really high air pressure in the tires and see if I can get more miles on a charge that way. That should reduce a lot of the rolling resistance.
The fat tires are great for off road and absorb the bumps. I ride off road in the desert and any thing smaller is just useless in the sand, my MTB with 2.5" tires just sink in. And hitting big rocks at speed 25-30 mph it keeps the rim from folding. If you air them up for the road you have less then 2" of contact with the road.
@@hoohoohoblin Yeh, I like the super 73. I have not bought one for a couple of reasons. Value: small Ah to $$ ratio. Ergonomics: Most of the reviews I have seen talk about what a dog it is when pedaling and how hard to pedal. This one looks good too though. Thankfully they seem to be making one for everybody. Can't wait till we have a battery disposal problem!
It’s a fun bike. I don’t know if they’ll be sending it to the UK or not. I think their laws are different so they would have to put a smaller motor in it.
Me too. It’s a great old truck. I would’ve done a how to put a bike in an OBS Chevy truck video, but that would be too easy, so I put it in the Prius instead.
Thanks! I’ve heard of people doing that, but I never tried it. I guess it’s an urban legend. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time with that. 28 miles an hour is fast enough for me on this bike.
@@hoohoohoblin that would make a heck of a upcoming video. you should show them by changing the tire size and using a GPS speed app on your phone to verify. They would love to know the truth LOL
@@joegarland2224 It works for most controllers that have speed limiters with throttle controlled by pedal assist level. For example, if one gets maxed out at 23mph on full throttle at highest PAS level with correct/bigger wheel size, it will max out at like 26mph with smallest wheel size on the GPS speedometer (the one on the bike will read a lot lower like 19mph).
So many choices ....? Like what I see, except needs rear frame extension for cargo rack, baskets, saddlebags. I would hate to have to cut frame and weld extension onto that pretty green paint. Good review only missing 'real world range; results.
You’re right, if you’re talking about functionality. I have one of those backwards fenders on my mountain bike, and it goes on backwards to keep all the mud off the frame and out of the fork legs. That being said, I bet more people tell you that yours is on backwards than mine. I think I’ll keep mine on the way it is, and then rivet an extension onto the back of it. This category of ebikes either comes with no fenders, or a little tiny fenders like these. I was amazed when I went to the super 73 website and saw that they’re selling e-bikes for $2000 more that either have no fenders or useless fenders. It’s all about style!!!!
Good informative review, keep up the great work, i am 6.2 200lb 34" inseam, geometry is important to me first, dont want to look like a dork riding something made for a kid, even if i never peddle...how tall r u and what is your inseam? Thank you! LB
I am 6 foot one and 200 pounds with a 32 inch inseam. At the very end of the video, you’ll see me sitting on the bike. RAEV is working on a version for taller people, and it should come out in a few months. It has a higher longer seat on it, and they recommend that for people over 6 feet tall. I’m having a lot of fun on the little one, and it fits nicely in my car. The only issue with height is that if you’re planning to do a lot of pedaling, you’re way too close to the pedals. If you’re going to use it like a scooter, then you’re fine. I’ve been pedaling a little bit when I get going, and then I’ll let the motor do the rest. And also I help out if I’m going up a steep hill. But most of the time I’m just holding the throttle wide-open and not pedaling.
That’s a good question. I don’t know if they ship to India or not. I know they don’t ship to Europe because the motor maximum power requirements make it illegal.
I’ll have to try going up that hill next time I’m down there. The hill in the video is super steep. It’s 36th St. at El Porto. that’s the street a couple blocks south of Rosecrans, from the beach to Highland Avenue. It made it up the hill without any pedaling, but since then, whenever I’m going up a hill, I give a little help with my feet.
They are coming out with a taller model in the middle to end of September, and they are taking pre-orders on the website now. Check the video description for a link and hundred dollar off code. The taller Bike is called the GTX, and it is on the website now, so you can see the dimensions.
If I turn it around, half of the people will tell me, it’s backwards, and the way it’s on there now, half the people are telling me it’s backwards. It would definitely be a lot better, if the fender covered more of the wheel instead of being a half fender.
It worked fine when I tried riding it 28 mph on dirt and loose rocks next to the train track. I replaced the rear shock with a $99 DNM airshock so it would handle better. I would recommend people do that if they buy this bike. You can see the video of it in my hundred mile review video of the bike. The knobby tires have small knobs on them, so they have some traction off-road.
Comprehensive review. I’m the same height as your friend that rode your bike and I’m interested in his opinion on pedaling the bike as you seem to almost hit your elbows to your knees when you pedal
It’s lower for him, but it’s definitely not ideal. This type of bike was really designed to be used more of a motorcycle then as a bicycle. I find that I keep it in a middle to low gear and just use the pedals to help it takeoff from a stop. Even for a really short person, it’s not as efficient to pedal as a properly set up traditional bicycle. But it makes enough power that you can ride around in almost every situation without needing to pedal at all.
If I was a few inches shorter, I would give it a 10. The suspension works well, and if you lower the air pressure in the tires to 20 pounds, it’s really comfortable to ride around the city. The only issue I would have with it is that my legs are long, so it’s not as comfortable to pedal, but on a bike like this, you really don’t have to pedal very much at all. If you are tall, they’re coming out with a version for taller people in the next few weeks.
It’s too small for that. The seat shape doesn’t really make it comfortable for a second person, and you would have to mount some foot pegs on it. They are coming out with a bigger model with a long flat seat next month that will be good for hauling a passenger.
Yes. You should be fine. You can go look at the RAEV Facebook group to see pictures that people your height have posted of them on the bike. Then you’ll have a better idea of how it would fit.
It senses cadence. If you are moving the petals around, then it helps you up to the maximum speed I found it I could get some good exercise if I said it to 12 and then pushed a little beyond 12 with my feet. I didn’t feel any ghost peddling. I don’t think this type of bike is meant to be pedaled very much. The ergonomics don’t allow it.
Check the website. There’s a link in the description. I know some of the bikes are on back order and others are ready to ship. The website will tell you if there’s going to be a delay.
Me too. It’s way more fun than I thought it would be. I have motorcycles that are bigger and faster, but this thing is a lot of fun to ride around the city.
You probably could do that with a spike, but they are working on another one that will be released in about a month that has a big flat seat on it, and is taller, designed for bigger people that one would be able to haul to people. If you watch the video, I posted a couple days ago with a test drive of this bike, you can see a picture of the bigger bike so you can get an idea of how large it is.
That’s some good range tho for sure to me. Essentially off mostly throttle riding and all throttle burning off some of that battery juice with climbing hills👌🏾Not bad at all in my book😎
I agree. I didn’t think I’d get that much range out of it, especially since I live in a very hilly area. Everywhere I go is either uphill or downhill and I have to get back.
@@hoohoohoblin Just wish they had more accessories for it to get the most out of it with having to carry something and other general things. Also it would’ve been cool to add things aesthetically too to kind of make it your own in a way. Panels or rear rack options at least something lol
I don’t know if they sell to India or not. I know they are in some other countries though. This bike is on sale in the US for 1799, or 1699 if you use the coupon code HOBLIN.
It depends on what country you live in. In the UK they have smaller motor requirements and lower topTopSpeed limitations. In the US, if it has pedals and a maximum motor assistance speed of 28 mph or less, then you don’t have to get insurance or registration. The helmet laws should be the same as the bicycle helmet laws in your state. That being said, if you crash into somebody’s car, or cause an auto accident, while riding your bike, you still have to pay for it somehow or another, but you’re not required to have insurance by law.
I wish I had the one with two batteries so I could test them both and figure out the difference. When an upgrade second battery module becomes available, I’ll try it out and see how much quicker this bike is.

@@hoohoohoblin that's what's up looking forward to seeing that bike
Hello
How much price in Kuwaiti kd.
I wish it was slightly more powerful, other than that super clean bike!
I wish I had the one with two batteries so I could test them both and figure out the difference. When an upgrade second battery module becomes available, I’ll try it out and see how much quicker this bike is.
Dang all these sweet e-bike designs coming out of nowhere lmao.
First there’s the Eahora Emars M1P
Now there’s this. Then there’s the surron.
Or that Nani Blast scooters.
Phewwww
Things are escalating quickly. It started out as beach cruisers with hub motors a few years ago, and now they’re turning into mini motorcycles.
Price?
Around $2000. Depending on how many batteries you want on it. There’s a coupon code and the video description.
Niiiice👍🏽😎
Thanks!
How mach is bike?
On sale for $1699 in July. Link in description.
Hi mate great looking ebike and great video nice clean and easy to follow 👍✌
Thanks. I appreciate it.
This looks compact, and yet robust. 😀
Yes. It’s a fun little mini bike, but not too small for me.
This was pretty damn decent vid bruh
Thanks! I appreciate it.
It's a nice looking bike at a nice price but I can't help to think that with that frame design more serious mods will be limited.
