Great content and presentation.
I bought the Orbea Wild Alloy after your and others recommendation.
The H20 is just over 26 Kg, with a unworkable fork. This despite trumpeting the top end bike’s weight at 20.8kg. It is a bit of a monster truck! I hope I can remove the 750wh battery and just run it off the yet to be released Powermore 250 as an SL, as you too have suggested on insta.
The point is that average Joe like me buys the cheaper model in the hope that the outcome is similar to what you and others describe, in this case it wasn’t.
My request is that please do speak up about value for money, weight, who the bike is most suited for and other bikes(specifically entry level) in the range and which might be the best bang for the buck.

Great year of videos Rob , I’ve got my eye on the new Nukeproof megawatt, and having a look at the new gas gas 6 next week , but still gonna wait to see if and when the next gen full fat levo is out , I’m still really enjoying my current levo , and 17 months in and 1650 miles on both the battery and motor with no issues what so ever , it’s gonna be hard to find it’s replacement
I'm not remotely in the target demographic for these, but seeing these give me some ideas of what want in my next commuter ebike.

Just got my new customized Orbea Wild M10 about a week ago and I'm LOVING it! It absolutely gobbles up rough, technical trails. Such a great handling bike.

I've just ordered the h20 as I have a zeb ultimate fork and ohlins coil shock and carbon wheels ready to go on along with 155mm cranks 👌 one Descent on a demo bike solt it for me. Feels just like my rallon with a motor. Previous ebikes are santa cruz heckler v1, haibike all Mtn 3.5 and a cube stereo hybrid 160. Keep up the great content Rob

Great summary. Very exciting time for E-bikes. Do you have a comparison of motor sound? I was looking at getting an ebike, but motors i looked at either sounded like a blender, or rattled on downhills. The pinion and TQ motor systems seem the quietest.

I'm already loving it. But I noticed a few things, I'm not 20 anymore (going on 46), I'm totally out of shape and that RockShox Fork has got to be a joke

I have had a Rail 5 for 3 years now. The emtb experience is brilliant. But emtbs have not progressed much: still the same power, motor wattage and speed assist limit. Theres been tinkering round the edges, slightly less weight, slightly bigger batteries, integrated displays etc but still its basically the same setup. If I was to consider changing the Rail and paying some of these sums I would not just want more bells and whistles, but a step change in design and improvement.
I love my Rail 9.7. No need for another e-bike anytime soon.
Every time I watch videos about these ridiculously priced bikes i think to myself, just wait a couple years and they'll depreciate to the point where i still can't afford them

I noticed you are running a Title handlebar. How are you pleased with it and how much rise does your version have?
Also, what are your recommendations for a good e-mtb saddle? I'm looking for comfort, low stack/short rails and longish nose with slight downward tilt for super steep climbs .
It would be awesome to see a Shimano Linkglide long term review on your channel, or even a AXS vs. Linkglide, the showdown of bling vs. durability.

Hi Rob I'm torn between the orbea wild M10 and the Canyon Strive On. What's your thoughts. Battery removable isn't an issue. Just think the Orbea looks slicker. Help.
Surprised the new Whyte range hasn't been mentioned in this list at all 🤯🤯 they seem leaps and bounds ahead of most bikes for 2024......
A very interesting piece of information would be how efficient the different motors are at converting watts in to watts out, or % efficiency. You are going to get more miles on a charge with a more efficient motor of course

That Mondraker Neat looks like a great bike, bit too expensive for mainstream users though
The integrated Pinion is what I am excited for! The cost is what I am worried about though..
Im sure we all wondered about cost and weight on the Pinion equipped bike.
I dont think the bike is commonly available yet.
The 2024 Orbea Wild now comes in a couple of configurations with the SRAM T-Type AXS transmission. Nobody has really mentioned that before. The LTD and the M11 model both have it. I've ordered the 2024 M11 Wild model.

Great video as ever mate, but as I always say you need to try out the new Whyte range which has now been updated to include a couple of lighter versions, the Whyte Geometry is some off the best in the game too and designed in the UK

For extra performance the Model: M1 AM.1050. is probably as well an option. We haveonly the version with the limitation on 45km/h but I guess the umlimited version is interesting.
excellent video. but weirdly i am still to be tempted after 3 years to move on from my whyte e180 rs, not sure what needs to change (except pricing). the new elyte 160 looks amazing but not at that price.
The 2024 e180 looks amazing and had had some great updates in wheelsize / battery / and geometry 👌🏻👌🏻 can't fault a Whyte

So which is the better bike, the TREK Rail 9 Gen 3 or the Specialized Turbo Kenevo Expert X01 Eagle 2024.
Hear so often that TREK Rail 9 Gen 3 is one of the best bikes.

Rob, how do you fined these bikes pedal through the speed restriction? I’m in a reign E+ and it’s an absolute pig…. Most of the “fun” but of every ride is > 25kph and so it just feels like a boat. Any thoughts on what bikes / motor combos feel best for this?

@@megane230f1don’t need the extra power, but the restriction is immensely problematic. Acoustic bikes still have a massive edge for proper mountain biking.

Look into the Huskvarna Hard Cross or Mountain Cross. You will save so much money without sacrificing on components. Im a Specialized rider and just bought a Levo. I wish I heard about the Huskvarna before my purchase.

Theres literally hundreds of e-bikes out there. I’ve not tried anywhere near all of them. But this is a list of my top 10 that I’ve tried 👍👍
The family car type emtb,s get my vote, not overally flash, just a solid workhorse and reasonably priced. So Vitus wins.
Hey brother, I'M stuck please help!! Anyone. I'm on the fence on either buying a scott ransom eride920 and will fully get upgraded with fox factory suspension 180mm front and rear travel. Or do I get me an entry model orbea wild and fully upgrade that with better brakes and fox factory suspension. My question is, what is the best all around, throw anything at it bike. I love the mullet capable option on the scott. But Everyone is crazy about the orbea wild. Please any input is greatly appreciate it. My riding usage consist of 70% park stuff and 30 % trail riding. My concern is i dont want to run out of travel in the orbea if i ever need the extra MM of travel. Thanks in advance!!

Hey Rob. My Gen 1 Levo got stolen. All I have left is the extra 504 wh battery and the charger. Can a Gen 1 battery be retrofitted to work on a Gen 3 Levo?

These Ebikes are way overpriced, $12000 for an Ebike, you can get 2 motorbikes for that.

My sister's Yamaha Moro is awesome.
at this point i won't buy a new ebike for several years. the pinion gearbox has made ALL ebikes without it absolete already! sram and shimano will bring their own version FOR SURE in the next years and that will mark as big of a step forward as the emotor for bikes did!

For $$8k-$12k they should indeed be “the best”. Much like $200k cars are usually pretty great too.
Content with bikes most people can actually afford would be better than bikes RUclipsrs get to use for free.

some years ago we used to buy motorcycles and CARS for these prices - am i missing something? does everybody earn so good, that "10 grand" for a bike is no hustle at all? this is insane! how do you people afford these things?

When you can look @ a Ebike objectively without fan base alliance, they all look the same 🤪 strong, experience & fit riders will can ride any or most Ebikes the same, because they're just too similar to one another, only travel set bikes apart now 😁

Hey rob, I am just say. Its not the bike that matter, the rider do the job. I have trek rail 9.8 xt 2022. All original parts. I ride 5000 k"m in a 1 year and 5 month. have a great fun time. 😂
