If my memory serves Matpat was the main one to popularize the theory and then sometime later was one of the main ones to throw it into the trash and set it on fire as new information that came out made the theory impossible to work. Funny how that works out!

I think that the animation for the 3rd song was made before FNAF 6: Pizzeria Simulator was released. In the animation, we see the ghosts of the children, but it shows 4 boys and 1 girl. However, when you unlock the 'Lore Keeper' ending in FNAF 6, at the end it shows the gravestones of all the missing kids. The order from left to right is as follows: Gabriel (possesses Freddy); Fritz (posseses Foxy); Susie (posseses Chica); Jeremy (posseses Bonnie) and a 5th gravestone that has a name which is covered by tall grass. However, fnaf fans found out this gravestone belongs to Cassidy, the vengeful spirit. There is also a 6th gravestone on a hill in the background that belongs to Charlie (Henry's daughter).
Wait, Charlotte got killed later in the animation, so hold it right there, OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry, been playing too much ace attorney)

I believe that because I just can't really think of any way to have the newer content connects with the old. It just doesn't fit in my eyes. It just raises some questions that people pointed out. Like why would Mike (the CC), randomly wake up and attack William? He wouldn’t have known what he has done. And if you think he learned after he went to SL, then who would have told him to go there? William told him. But by then, William would’ve been dead already. As he went back to the pizzeria. Like did he wait for mike to wake up, tell him to go, and then go back to the pizzeria? Like, Story telling wise, it just doesn’t work. William probably would’ve went back to the pizzeria for more remnant before Mike even woke up, so who would’ve told him? Like there’s loads of questions still. Timing wise, doesn’t really make sense. Another weird issue with this theory, is FNaF 4. We know Mike is the player of that game. But again, timing wise, when would the crying child have these nightmares since they are after FNaF 1. And why would he be having flash backs of a hospital if he’s a robot?? Just makes more sense logically to be the older brother. Another point that people make is age. CC would just be too young by the time FNaF 2 rolls around and it’s pretty likely that Fritz Smith is Mike since him and Mike Schmidt get fired for the same reason. By FNaF 2, CC would be like 11-14 by then which doesn’t make ANY sense- (If he’s 7-8 in FNaF 4 which is most likely true)

Michael is the son William is the father/murderer but they look the same so the animatronics see Miachel as William since they look so similar. Edit: Miachel was experimented on by his father to bring him back to life using souls and he succeeded but William was not able to get back to his son in time to see if it worked.
