After watching this I was able to set up a dock mode to change throttle input from peddles to stick input for landings / dockings. Much thanks

I had gotten most of the way through configuring joystick gremlin to deal with some jittering deadzone on my left stick before I had the realization that this was not going to work since SC wouldn't know which device I wanted to use since the vjoy device was just a modified duplicate and both devices are still present in the control panel. Hidhide was the missing link, thank you!

Looking at your flying shorts with the racing in star citizen it’s so smooth and responsive I like these

Great guide. Covers ~90% of the use cases for Joystick Gremlin in one guide. I am getting back into Elite Dangerous/Joystick Gremlin. ED has a 32 button limit per device, so almost required if you have any of the higher end throttles with >32 buttons.

That was awesome, per the usual! How do you load the controls in Star Citizen? Can you make a quick video walking through those steps?

This is amazing I really want to get to this level but definitely have to save up then build up over time. I’m using dual extreme 3D pros they do the job.
I will definitely be revisiting this video again when I get to your level. Very helpful thank you

I did some heavy research and chat gpt sais that you can also if you have an on/off latching switch and when you change state that it outputs a buttonpress

This looks promising. I'll try this on my T.16000 HOTAS. Please more of this content!

Did it work out for you? I picked up a Tflight one Hotas but it's not supported in SC.

@@GK_Squid It worked perfectly until I did something wrong and Joystick Gremlin stopped working. I still have to find out how to uninstall all components of JG and it's residues. If I succseed I set it up again.

10 months late on my question but in my hidhide there is a checkbox on the bottom to apply "inverse application cloak" i'm assuming you want checkmark active for those selected programs to see through hidhide, confirmation would be great!

I cannot use the slider on my Virpil alpha as a "look behind" button in Star Citizen. I can't figure out how to get it to recognize it... all the other buttons I was able to configure correctly with Gremlin. Suggestions?

    • @UndeadParrot
      @UndeadParrot  11 месяцев назад +2

If I remember correctly, the slider was (at least for me) configured both as an axis and button in Virpil software for some reason.
Since I wanted to use it as a button, I took the axis binding away in Virpil software and then it worked properly as a button.

@@UndeadParrotthanks buddy! I solved by removing the slide from the VPC software

@@UndeadParrot Hello dear! Do you think it is possible somehow to make star citizen recognize the pedal board pedal one for boost and the other for afterburn?

I'm trying to use temporary mode switch so that I can use the joystick thumb button for both VTOL and LANDING GEAR but I just can't figure out what is going wrong. I'm getting double inputs in star citizen when I press the thumb button only, but the modified key bind is successfully activating only LANDING GEAR as I intend it to. I am hard stuck here and cannot conceptually figure out what I have to change to make the modified button press ignore the vanilla keybind. If you have a moment to reply and clear up what I am doing wrong I would be forever grateful. Thanks for the video

Wait I thought pilots didn't like Gremlins in the engine room 🤔

You just have to remember not feeding your cockpit after midnight and you’ll be fine.

Should be doable as long as joystick gremlin recognizes them as buttons / axes.

So do you use HIDHide to hide the controllers from Star Citizen and just let the game see the vJoy controllers?
