That little motor sounds good now Luke. It's funny that those rubber diaphragms have caused so many problems over the years. From carbs to fuel rails. You would have thought they could have come up with something better. Your breakdown of how it works, and how to fix it was spot on.
Yeah, seems like there should be a more reliable way to accomplish the same thing. I was glad overheating didn't hurt the engine, I was a little worried about that.
I was happy to see the engine wasn't hurt from overheating. I'll have to do a video comparing the off road performance of it and the Silverado. I might even throw the Dodge into the mix to see how it compares.
Hello Luke. I was curious how your hose situation worked out that you were having so much trouble with on your last video. I am really impressed with how smooth that your engine sounds - So we know that the engine is okay. Also,, was wondering if you had rounded up the parts for the red truck that you were working on. Some years ago, I bought a 1987 S-10 Blazer with a 2.8 liter engine and a 5 speed manual transmission that was 4wd. I absolutely loved driving the Blazer although the floorboard was of marine grade plywood because the floorboard was pretty much rotted out. I took the asphalt based undercoating and sprayed it thick underneath and it was like that when I finally junked it out. I think what made the Blazer pull so well was the fact that the rear differential was posi-trac and I really didn’t use the 4wd all that much. That was one of my most favorite vehicles that I ever owned. Hope you and all of your family are doing well, Luke.
The hoses are still bypassed now, I wanted to make sure the engine was still good before trying to get any more parts. I ordered some hoses but they are still not here yet. The GMC I was working on is coming along, I actually have part of a video filmed on it, just got to get it put back together and try to start it again. Probably be next weeks video. I had one of those Blazers too. 4.3 automatic though. It would go pretty good, I think mine had the posi too. The problem with mine was reverse didn't work so I had to plan ahead when parking.

Great job Luke. It's awesome that you found the fuel problem. 👍🏻
Thanks. I'm glad it was a simple fix.
Glad you got it running properly. Looks pretty capable off road! Amazing that it outdoes your Silverado hill climbing!

Thanks for the update. I think this will be a good little rig for having fun in the woods.
Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with its off road performance. It's not much on power, but it goes through just about anything.
Looking good, Luke. That things got some power.
Thanks! I guess the little overheating episode didn't hurt it, I'm glad.
Get her running good sounds like! You will have a blast with it!
That engine seems to be in pretty good shape, I'm going to have to compare its performance off road to the Silverado.
