Your mixes sound absolutely professional. And i wish i was at the same level of mix quality. But maybe with the help of your forthcoming series i can get a little bit closer. Thanks!
Incredible! I’ve realized that I’ve been liking passive pickups more than active when it comes to metal. There’s so much clarity with good passives and it’s present! I’d love to see you make a cab ir from your laney cab and see how that sounds with that amp plugin
Mah man! I never thought of using my overdrive pedal in front of the interface. I have just tried it and holy shit, i can get a way better tone with that trick. Thanks a lot
About the Misha's comment on having clipping on DI of your audio interface, being the same way as clipping the amp. Not entirely true ... You need to have a specific DI input like Hi-Z or JFET DI (I recommend Audient ID22 for example with JFET which I use), which are designed to handle DI signal the way amps do. So in that case, you would be keeping Gain at 0 on your interface, and just allow guitar pickups to push the signal. Depending on your pickups it would be either super hot, or just right etc, and DI signal would be the one amps would expect. But of course, nothing is set in stone and everyone need to experiment with their own style of play, equipment, setups etc, which is the beauty of this art called music :)
Killer killer tone, and as you say, just the enough gain to sound more clear and neat, TH3 so powerful ! .. What Drums plugin did you use, and for the bass.? Please (NO OSTRICHES | Waiting For Perry) Thx.
Hey mate! Thanks for your videos and all your job, it's amazing all what you do for the guitar community to be honest. I wanted to ask you about your video recording gear. Which camera do you use? Thanks for your time!
Good review. I'm just wondering because i'm new to recording i hear a lot of noise just by combining amps and cabs i'm not a fan of using lots of noise gate . Even my guitar is not plugged in i here lots of noise maybe its about the audio interface?
i dont have the pedals you have, what would you recommend to use in TH3 to replace them with to get a similar sound? Because now if i just copy from this video it sounds quite horrible
Great video! Tone is sick as always. I actually want to try that 805 in front of the interface, did you used the Boos NG in this demo, where in the chain did you placed it, before the 805 or after?
@jorge guitar25 Bro the best thing you can do is: * You can buy the Pod X3 LIVE in just 200 USD or less. I had the focusrite 2i4 second generation and several other interfaces but none has a preamp to record DIs as clear and defined as the Pod X3 live It seems incredible that a product of 10 years has more quality but it is true, you can also use the Pod as an interface and use the Amp sim you want on your pc, I recommend those of ignite amp are free and better than the vast majority payed. And with the pod you can achieve the tone you want if you invest the necessary time.
@@butcher_0392 Absolutely agree! I decided to go for a used X3 Live after watching a few of his videos, and it's probably the best investment I've ever made! The fact that it's a great interface with the ability to record DIs made it for me. I believe the cab sims are the weakest part of this unit, though they're not bad at all. Thinking of getting a Mooer Radar for using IRs live.
Soulhenge that’s awesome thanks! I’ve only ever had true guitar cabinets or 2x12 all in one amps. I’ve recently started branching out and upgraded to an FRFR cabinet and a helix. But I’d like to start recording. Thanks for these types of videos, it helps pro audio rookies like me figure out what to do!
Hi, do you have any latency on your focusrite? I’m using a Steinberg interface with Yamaha thr 10, and with ASIO I get 2-3 ms latency and it kind of bothers me, I still don’t use the plugins because of this. Should I be scared of it, or it won’t affect my playing? Also should I get a focusrite? I’m planning to change my Interface.
@@gafuraskarov2814 The direct monitor won't have any latency, as the signal is being sent directly to the outputs of your interface. However, there is a difference between your and Misha's use case. Misha was using an Axe FX for his tone, so it didn't need to go through any processing in his DAW. But in your case, if you're using a VST for your tone, switching on direct monitor would just send the dry, unprocessed sound of your guitar out to your output device. And regarding latency, there's absolutely no digital solution with zero latency. Nobody can notice 2-3ms of latency. Sound travels one foot in one millisecond. So a latency of 2-3ms is like plugging in an amp and sitting 2-3 feet away from it. I don't think such a small latency should affect your playing.
Rhitosparsha Baishya oh wow, you’re the light that came out of nowhere lol! Huge thanks man, you gave me confidence to start using plugins. I should definitely try this during the next recording. Thank you!!! ❤️

Can't wait for those videos
Great content, no bullshit, thicc tone, love it !
Thanks for this man. You are very expressive I could see you in films..just my thoughts!!
I love it also and now I"m using TH-U which is fantastic
Excellent video! Looking forward to the mixing video. Cheers

You are the best TH3 review,I really love this metal tone , please can you show how to get a good clean tone, thank you.
Hi. You have "line" Selected on the input of the focusrite? It's correct? Thanks. Good job.
It's fine to use the Line option in his case as he's using pedals in front of the input of the interface.
Loved the song m8

That sounds really really phenomenal and with so little tweaking! Is it possible to get just that IR from somewhere? Thanks!

Check out Cakewalk by BandLab! It's free and literally comes with a free version of TH3!

I'm using Grindmachine 2 atm, thought about getting TH-U. Then i saw the price. 230€, ooof. Quarter of a Helix...

Use the beedee2 overdrive and/or the eq to give it a push before the amp!
Why is your focusrite set to line level and not instrument? Are you using active or passive pickups?
Have you tried any of the neural dsp plugins? I’m on the fence between th3, archetype plini, and nameless
I cannot get it... my tone sucks all the time. What audio interfaces / hardware you are using, please?
Great video! Tone is sick as always. I actually want to try that 805 in front of the interface, did you used the Boos NG in this demo, where in the chain did you placed it, before the 805 or after?
Excellent video! BTW how you getting on with the charvel? Your no1 guitar ?
Awesome tone! I really need to check out this plugin. Btw what are you using? Picture quality is amazing. Greetings from Lotasticland
Nice tones! what do you prefer the pod or th3? i dont know if i should buy software or hardware. dont have money for helix, kemper or axe fx.

i have the focusrit 2i2 3rd gen, and p90 pickups.... at the 15% of gain, my signal is cliping, wtf.... i need to change it??
Or you change the switch from inst to line (you should be able to turn up the gain a bit) , or you get a DI box with at least a -30dB pad
@@aldocaumo The problem with using the Line input is that it doesn't have a high impedance, so there would be a noticeable high-end loss.
What type of monitors do you play through when just playing live (prior to recording) or just jamming? I love that tone!
At home I play through Adam A3Xs, but in my student apartment I'm currently in I only listen over my Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones!

Gafur Askarov I use Overloud with 16 samples of latency, I might be used to the minimal amount. I never had any problem with playing or recording!

Please tell me which one to go for
Bias fx vs guitar rig 5 pro vs th3
Th-u is out now. Much better and realistic than bias fx. But gr 5 is good too.
Download the demo for each and decide for yourself.
What did you use for your drums? I know made a video with Addictive drums but it didn't sound like that
I'm using Naughty Seal Audio Perfect Drums for a good year now, much punchier and easier to mix to my taste!
@@MilianMalivukMusic Nice
Overloud th3 and th-u is fucking expensive! Neural DSP and Mercuriall stuff is cheaper and a lot better in my opinion.
Dude could you please stop giving all the secrets of tone to people man #Ameisentätowierer. I'm kidding of course great video as always
Giving people your preset doesn't mean they got your tone ;)
Charwel 😂😂
I can't like
It's at 100
