I just got an FCB1010 and spent about 30minutes scratching my head at the instruction manual. Your video was a huge help. Thank you from a hobbyist who just wants to make a bunch of noise.
I have TH-U Mobile with all of the gear. TH-U mobile does not have the feature where you click the FS twice to learn the on/off state. When you "learn", you click the FS and the Learn window goes away. There are 6 options for setting up the MIDI command: Expression, Footswitch, Press 127 and release, Press 127 only, Press 0 and release, and Press 0 only. I've tried setting up my MIDI FS using all of those options except Expression (since this is a FS). The only one that seems to sort of work is Footswitch, but it requires you send 0 or 127 for Data 2 field. The problem is, 0 turns it off, 127 turns it on. If the stomp is on, clicking the FS will turn it off. Clicking it again will turn it on (since it's sending 127). However, if the stomp is already off, clicking the FS the first time does nothing. Clicking a second time turns the stomp off (as expected), then clicking again turns it on (as expected). But that means every time I load a preset, I have to toggle each stomp on and off before I know that the MIDI FS will do what I expect it to do. Is there a video out there or some place where I can find a better explanation about the MIDI implementation in the mobile app? I've spent close to $250 on TH-U premium and most of the amp and rig packs. Sure would be nice if the MIDI implementation actually worked correctly.
@@shinomorello Nope. I just make sure I click each foot switch twice after changing presets. A little annoying, but not a big deal, I suppose. The Behringer controller with the mod chip is supposed to be able to. And each foot switch has an LED that shows on/off state. Relatively inexpensive too. LOTS of foot switches and an expression pedal.
I couldn't get any MIDI controller to work with my TH-3. I went "Old School" and just used "Dual Heavy Rig" for the whole show and just used my volume to clean things up. Use 6-7 for rhythm, 10 for solos. It's 2-3 for clean tones. Worked fine for me anyway.
