With a month left in Vietnam, Special Services dropped off some band equipment. I grabbed the guitar and amp, while someone grabbed the drums and trumpet - we were a band, damn it. For a view nights we were taken back home through the power of music. After about 17 months together, C Company, 4th Combat Engineers was being assimilated into the 25th Infantry. Will Lucas shares his letters home from Dau Tieng, outside the Michelin Rubber Plantation. Meanwhile back at the old base camp in Pleiku, Melvin Pope from D Company 4th Engineers shared his letters and photos from the month as well.

I was there came over on the troop ship.Was with. HHC 3 BDE 4 then 25 DIV .I have Cancer all so , I saw them fly over north end of camp by the dirt piles.A week later every thing brown or on the ground.
