@@SamHolland Exactly what this guy said! Watched tons of videos, but never got the information I was looking for to make the purchase, until this video! Thank you.
I literally bought this filter after only having a regular VND for years...I didn't even know the polarizer was a feature! I just thought the underside of the filter would sometimes spin as you adjusted the ND feature.......this is crazy! Huge game changer!
Technically ALL VND filters have a polarizing effect which can be adjusted IF the base mount is rotated. Filters like the K+F simply allow both elements to be rotated independently and easily with a special mount. The mount is the star here. It does not have separate CPL and VND filters, only a VND.
this video is honest, full on concise point and real life without getting too technical and experience from other vnd. hats off to you, great video. you earn my time, money, and click

@@SamHolland I do have a question. Is it possible to turn off the CPL filter? Or will it always be "on"? I'm just wondering if you ever found a scenario where your run and gun vlogging, where the CPL filter can't be turned off, and you get weird lighting sometimes? Curious on any issues at all you had having both CPL and VND on the same product.
just ordered directly off the manufacture website 58mm one for 26.8-576mm lens on my canon g30 camcorder. Amazon does not carry 58mm thread and I do not want to use a step-up adapter. Can't wait to have full control of ND instead of canons automatic nd after fstop 4+ they kick in. I can now keep the aperture at 1.2 and get the same blur as your video with stabilization built in.
Hello, Sam Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Finally after watching this video, I decided which one to buy. I was tired of watching videos about ND filters and couldn’t decide which one to buy! Well, you won my subscription. Have a wonderful day and happy holidays from Fort Lauderdale -FL USA.
Hey Sam! Great video! Love you VLOGs! I had an "old" Hoya ND8 ND filter, so a fixed one, which is pretty good but unconvenient to use due not its not variable nature. Also with CLOG, exposure starts at ISO 400 and in broad daylight, even looking for the best light possible, I ended closing my aperture too much. Of course in terms of aesthetic and style this is important as if you want to make your subject pop in your scene some background separation is needed. And if you end shooting f16-f22 this separation simply doesn't exist anymore! That's why I've ended here, watching your videos, as I knew K&F brand since long time. Quality has improved a lot in their products! I was also missing a CPL, so this product seems spot on! A good balance between performance, features and price. I'll probably give a shot tomorrow, ordering on Amazon tonight :) Just wanted to add some info to your video, not sure if it's been mentioned: when using the polariser, depending how much is present, you lose light up to 1 stop. At 3:46 you gave a demonstration about removing the highlights on your skin, which is true, but also you're lowering the exposure as well as removing polarised light lower your exposure. Hope it helps!
Yeah got one on the way from a Kickstarter that does not have to be threaded looking forward to it arriving .... agree on the budget side of things buddy ... smashed this one good to see you out in the field and that you didn't get wet pants !
Love the idea, but I’d recommend getting them separate and use a spacing ring to adjust them independently. Also when I tried the k&f I got horrible color casting
Great video man. Unfortunately, i bought the polar pro nd1000/pl and watched several videos saying it's for photography. I needed something to take great videos with my iphone.

Hi Sam,thank you for this great video.I do mostly indoor product video shooting and outdoor travel filming with my sony apsc camera, I'm wondering which is better for me , CPL+ND2-32 or CPL+ND4-64?
This video ends my research, but I've just got one more question, can you stack those step up rings to fit this filter (eg. 55-58 + 58-62 = 2 step up rings to fit a 62 size filter to my 55 lens)? Thanks :)
made a very interesting point about supporting the more affordable products made for people that don't have the money to be spending on polar pro filters etc... keep up the good work cuz you were talking about people like me LOL
Awesome review, really interesting product! The manufacture's website says it has an ND2/4/8/16/32 ND filter. Does that mean it's a 1-5 stop ND filter? I need a 6-9 stop ND filter because I do some filming in bright sunlight, but this 2 in 1 CP/VND filter looks intriguing!
Which camera are u using? And what are the settings? Stabilization looks good during vlogging and walking. How did u manage such stable footage? Was IBIS turned on? And was the lens stabilized too?
Hi. Thank you. This was a very old video so I was using the Canon eos R at this point. It would have been the 16-35 RF lens. I now use the Lumix S5ii and it’s super stable
Hi Sam,the new K&F ND4-64+CPL filter is on the market now. Have you compared the ND2-32+CPL and the newer ND4-64+CPL? Which one would you recommend more for indoor product B-Roll photography and videos, as well as outdoor portrait and landscape videos? My camera is the APS-C Sony A6700, and I mainly use the Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 and Sigma 30mm 1.4 lenses.
When there is full sun i nearly need to use my 9 stops ND filter. I am afraid this nd32 is not enough even with the cpl reducing the light a bit more. I need minimum ND400. I cannot find a ND400 + CPL combined on the K&F site. If you find one let me know.
Only thing is if Im shooting indoors or doing wildlife that require a high shutter speed, and I need only the CPL, theres no way to avoid the VND because it starts at 2 stops. Still thinking if I should get the combo or stick to individual filters for CPL and ND.
Really like the way you presented! Just asking the can the CPL be turned off or it will be on even at the lowest stop? And the ND too, can it be turned off ?
good content dude, thanks for doing what you do. Question for ya - you said, you can't use a ND filter if you're using a polariser. Can you not stack them on top of each other and get the effect of both?
Thank you! 🙏🏻 yeh you can stack them but I find it a little fiddle because of the threads and rotation so the all-in-one makes it much better. Thanks for watching 🤩🎥
I saw in a recent youtube video that this ND+CPL K&F filter get huge vignetting on rangers lower that 16mm & low ND (lower than ND5). I was considering get this VND+CPL filter but as I´ve a 10-20mm lens, i would like if someone have tested this vignetting problem (
Super interesting video Sam! I hate those white areas too where the highlights blow out in the sky. Is that by any chance the EOS R with the 15 - 35mm 2.8 IS? If so, it’s worth mentioning that the lens itself is not exactly “budget” friendly for a start lol... Thanks bro 😊
Great review... But it always makes me LOL when youtubers are saying their “disclaimer”: they sent me this product for free but they are not paying me... THEY ALREADY HAVE! 😂 These filters are worth of a few hundreds £€$ of whatever money. And it’s called a CONFLICT OF INTEREST unless you are not keeping the product and will send it back... which I believe it’s not the case in this case (excuse the tautology)
Hi, just found your channel looking for some reviews! Can I bring ND to a "zero point" and still using just the CPL feature with this filter? (if I don't want ND on my image)
All CPL filters lose a bit, say a stop or so. This one might lose a little more since a VND is basically 2 CPL back to back. It is basically like stacking 2 CPL filters on the lens.
Why don't they make all VND filters this way? I've got a Nikon CPL which I love. I wish I could get something like this made from a pair of Nikon CPLs.
wait so which one is it? the one with the orange tab or the gold tab? theres one that cost 109$ for my 82mm and theres the gold tab thats 179$ for my 82mm ?

Hi. On the front of the lens, there is a o symbol with a number next to it. That number is the filter diameter size. If you don’t have the lens yet, it will say on the website specs. Hope this helps. Thanks
Do they have hard stops when turning the filter? I find hard stops annoying when trying to dial in my VND whilst recording as it makes the transition unsmooth.
I have this filter, but I have one problem with it. I find that if I adjust the ND stop, the polarizer, even though I have not moved the ring changes and needs re-adjusting. Do you have the same problem?
i had it for a few weeks on my iphone 11 pro ultra wide lens with moment filter mount. then i sent it back to amazon. the ND was amazing, no vignetting or any aberration. but i tried several scenarios for the polariser and i couldn’t see it doing much to the reflections... also i didn’t like that to turn the ND stops you have to hold the polariser ring with the other hand. i’m planning to get the same but without the polariser.
Have you seen one of these before?????

does it get any vignette when u push to max 5 stop? just curious
Do they have hard stops when turning the filter? I find hard stops annoying when trying to dial in my VND whilst recording as it makes the transition unsmooth.
Hi. These ones don’t have hard stops 🙏🏻🎥
I have this filter, but I have one problem with it. I find that if I adjust the ND stop, the polarizer, even though I have not moved the ring changes and needs re-adjusting. Do you have the same problem?
Yeh you have to be careful when using it and make sure you’re not moving both. 🙏🏻 thank you for watching 🤩🎥
Do you had any problems on manual focus with this filter?
Great video.
Thank you
Awesome video
I am looking to buy a ND filter. Should I buy this VND + CPL 2-32 ? Can I shoot video on f2.8 outdoor with this filter?
You know the product, and give use visual how we can use this product..
Thank sir...
Thank you for watching. I hope it helps 🙏🏻🎥🤩
Do you guys know if we can put k&f magnetic lens cap over this filter?
Hows the sharpness when using on a telephoto lens like a 200mm or 600mm?
Thank you, great video.
Thank you 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Whats your lens focal length for this video?
What goes closer to lens, polarizer or nd?
Is there any X shape or vignetting issue on extreme stop in this filter?
Do they rotate independently or do we have to keep readjusting after we move one?
The lever rotates one filter glass independently, the ring rotates both simultaneously. Adjust the lever (VND) first, then adjust the ring (CPL).
@@timothystockman7533 haha..I ended up buying it like 8 months ago. I know now
Can you rotate the entire VND to also get the same polarizing effect?
I'm searching for the same answer 🤔
The lens cap is it fit on this filter?
Dose it look's so yeloow???
i had it for a few weeks on my iphone 11 pro ultra wide lens with moment filter mount. then i sent it back to amazon. the ND was amazing, no vignetting or any aberration. but i tried several scenarios for the polariser and i couldn’t see it doing much to the reflections... also i didn’t like that to turn the ND stops you have to hold the polariser ring with the other hand. i’m planning to get the same but without the polariser.
