  • Who doesn't love a crumpet? Gordon prepares a deliciously sweet dish topped with strawberries and finished with a dollop of crème fraîche. A proper brunch.

      Is Anorexia a phobia of food or of gaining weight?

    • @billy-joes6851
      @billy-joes6851 7 лет назад

      Everyone that thinks that all people with anorexia don't like food is a fucking moron/donkey , I think lol I haven't actually done any research of anorexia lately .

    • @Kirukitsu
      @Kirukitsu 7 лет назад +2

      *Bill Hampton* I'd say it's a "phobia" of gaining weight. Anorexics avoid eating because of an obsessive desire to lose weight. Anorexia stems from a distorted/exaggerated body image, not from a fear or dislike of food.
      Speaking of which, bonus fun-fact: anorexia isn't technically a "phobia." But on the subject of food and phobias, food-phobias do exist (I had one when I was a kid :P). Similar to anorexia in the way they both play out, but different in the roots of the problems.
      . . . I'll be going now. :[]

    "So pop in a warm place whilst you get on with the delicious topping."
    "A wonderful glaze on the strawberries."
    "A touch of balsamic vinegar in. That gives it that really nice delicious tartness."
    "Now for the crumpet. It's almost doubled in size."
    "Right. Now it's time to add the butter. Just slide the butter down the back. That gives it a really nice nutty flavour at the end."
    "Take that out. Then take the jam and just spoon it over."
    "The secret is for the juice to just sort of run inside all those little holes."
    "Now finish that with a nice ball of creme fraiche."

      Unkn0wnGuy Soured cream. Very easy to make.
      Take two cups of heavy cream and pour it in a container - add 3 table spoons of butter milk. Cover it with cling film and leave it at room temperature for 24 hours. Less if your kitchen is very warm. Stir and refrigerate. It will easily last in the fridge for more than a week.

    So you made a fancy pancake.....

    • @DoctorMcHerp
      @DoctorMcHerp 9 лет назад

      ***** Nah bro, it's more of a pancake than a bread. Crumpets are made from batter, just like pancakes, whereas traditional bread is made from dough.

    • @DoctorMcHerp
      @DoctorMcHerp 9 лет назад +1

      Just because it doesn't have eggs doesn't mean it's automatically bread. Brioche has eggs, milk, and flour in it, but you'd never call it a pancake. Crumpets are clearly made from a batter, notice how it's even pourable.

    • @Silmerano
      @Silmerano 9 лет назад

      Early crumpets actually were hard pancakes cooked on a griddle. It wasn't until the victorian era (mid 19th century) That yeast was introduced to make the modern crumpet. i.ytimg.com/vi/YNwj64NFWB4/maxresdefault.jpg

    I love Crumpets with selfmade apple jam, pure tastegasm. From up to down. Apple jam and then, nutella and at least strawberry jam (selfmade). That was my top favorite things with crumpets. 😀 Thank you Mr. Ramsey, you very funny, I very like how you roast bad restaurants and tell them what they do wrong. 👍😊 Omg, I know some bad fast food restaurants myself, the reaction of yours would be so hilarious! 😂
