    Technically I'm there at age 54, perhaps even Fi but we're in the process of moving and it's that darn health insurance. We'll see how things shake out in the next couple of years.

      health insurance is the wild card in the US for sure

    I typed your examples in the calculator (retirement at 65 with no further contributions) at 7% and didn’t get anywhere near $1.7m. What am I doing wrong?

      it probably has to do with the starting point and ages, as well as expected "other income" you're using in the calculations. @@nchandir

      Also, the calculators all gave me different numbers, because they weight things differently! I think of them as a guideline, to help you shape your overall plan.

      Thanks for watching! I always tell myself "I'll use the information I have now to make different decisions moving forward", instead of feeling bad about not knowing things earlier.
