I clicked on this video trying to calm myself down, and I just want to say to anyone who struggles w/ similar issues. It's ok to mess up. Practice is what teaches you to become better. If you get upset at the art you created, it destroys the whole point of it being a fun creative outlet. Thank you tiff, for starting this seris. Its truly beautiful.

The Bella Coco Crochet RUclips channel is a has very detailed videos on many many crochet stitches. If you want to continue making more amigurumi, the Animal Friends of Pica Pau is a really good book and also has very detailed descriptions of all the techniques and has a lot of cute animals too! I hope you will enjoy crochet as much as I do! Also crochet is a skill that needs a lot of practice, so be patient with yourself and don’t give up!

Crocheting is so relaxing! So glad you are learning! I love watching Bag-O-Day, Bellacoco, and MJ off the hook design on RUclips! I love RUclips more than patterns as I too am a visual learner.
Omg, this is so cute. As a fellow crocheter, I just have one tip for you. When you crocheted try flipping it inside out because it actually looks nicer for any project when it is flipped. It still looks incredible but just a little tip I thought I would share! :D
So for the part at 10:17 where you said she was going pretty fast and you were having a hard time seeing what she was doing, if you pan your mouse over the video when it's paused their is a tool bar at the bottom right hand corner, click the little gear icon and that is where it will bring up the settings menu! Once you click that it should list you an option for the playback speed where you can slow down the video! I hope you find this helpful for the next crochet that you're thinking about doing 😅

This is so cute! I love to crochet. Amigurumi is really tricky so I'm impressed you picked that as your first project. Blankets can be a really good way to learn and practice new stitches, so if you want to try something else I'd recommend that! (Remember to leave long ends to weave in and secure for later). Also, your bee is *technically* inside out. I made my first amigurumi inside out as well! In order to keep track of the "right" and "wrong" sides, you can put a stitch marker on the right side to avoid confusion. After enough practice, you can tell which side is which by looking at the stitches.
I'm so jealous how well you picked this up first go, took me two weeks to self teach myself but now I'm making cardigans and scarfs and wrist warmers and hats, it's so fun and relaxing and definitely worth doing and learning!

I just recently learned how to crochet as well! I am also a visual learner so youtube has helped me so much. A tip I have is if the tutorial doesnt teach a stitch slow enough just search for a tutorial on the specific stitch you want and you can usually find it
I am a young crotch-er myself and I'm so happy u decided to try. I'm self taught and its hard but don't fret you'll get there girly. For someone that has crocheted now for a yr, u did such an amazing job for a beginner!!! 10/10 Friendly tips: TAKE BREAKS trust me its really important, your fingers will thank u later!! When doing a magic circle try to make those stiches a little tighter it makes everything look more crisp and clean. Lastly u should try finding patterns on websites for free a lot of them are so helpful and do have pictures, if u need help learning a stitch just use youtube. Good Luck I can't wait to see what u make next!! The bee should be named fuzz-y
Lol you are hilarious! It maybe that we all went through this. It may be more the fact that we are remembering all the awkward moments of learning many years ago. Just learned a tip not many weeks or months ago….. that is to ‘pinch the stitches as you are working a stitch. This regulates the gauge of your stitches. Gauge is important each project looks better. Double crochet is one of the most used. Personally blankets 90% of what I do are for children. Keep buzzing on the crochet he is a sweetie!

you can change the playback speed of videos (which I'm sure you know) and I used to do that a lot when I was just starting and It really helped me especially when I was much slower than the people crocheting in the video

I was going to say the same thing. Flipping it the opposite of how it wants to go is the correct way to do amigurumi. :)

I just recently learned how to crochet as well! I am also a visual learner so youtube has helped me so much. A tip I have is if the tutorial doesnt teach a stitch slow enough just search for a tutorial on the specific stitch you want and you can usually find it

I am a young crotch-er myself and I'm so happy u decided to try. I'm self taught and its hard but don't fret you'll get there girly. For someone that has crocheted now for a yr, u did such an amazing job for a beginner!!! 10/10 Friendly tips: TAKE BREAKS trust me its really important, your fingers will thank u later!! When doing a magic circle try to make those stiches a little tighter it makes everything look more crisp and clean. Lastly u should try finding patterns on websites for free a lot of them are so helpful and do have pictures, if u need help learning a stitch just use youtube. Good Luck I can't wait to see what u make next!! The bee should be named fuzz-y

Just learned a tip not many weeks or months ago….. that is to ‘pinch the stitches as you are working a stitch. This regulates the gauge of your stitches. Gauge is important each project looks better.

crochets are so proud me myself being an amigurumi / crocheter its so exciting seeing you make things ive also made soo many bees that are big and keychained size. A cute type of bee is called a strawberry bee pink then white stripes green wings/leaves

you can change the playback speed of videos (which I'm sure you know) and I used to do that a lot when I was just starting and It really helped me especially when I was much slower than the people crocheting in the video
