Many of you asked what yarn I'm using in this video! I used Sweet Snuggles Yarn by Loops & Threads. Here's a link to Sweet Snuggles Yarn: go.magik.ly/ml/1nr6n/
@Sodi_pop the pattern she’s working on is linked in the video description! It should include hook sizes, but if I was to guess, 8-10mm (I don’t know the US names, I apologize)
In the best way possible, this made me feel so much more confident in my crocheting! So often I see people on tiktok who can make an entire cardigan in a day and it is very relieving to see someone who works at a similar pace as I do! Super excited to check out some of the other stuff you have made :)
I've been crocheting for over 25 years. I can tell you, there are not many people who can crochet a cardigan in a day. In my case, it would never work because I have kids to homeschool and a house to clean. A lot of people are lucky to get an hour or 2 to crochet throughout the day. I've honestly noticed a huge spike in the use of these really bulky blanket yarns and I think its because they work up so quickly. People can see a tiktok video, grab some blanket yarn and a hook and create an entire item by the end of the day. People LOVE instant gratification. So, after all that, I'm just here to say that you are doing great and it's okay to take a longer time to create a piece of art!
I prob work slower. Some people have been crocheting for years or been multitasking (obviously cause they're good at it) so much they've managed to gain those skills. I crochet on my free time, for fun, not for a living like some of those people who show off their stuff. They usually tend to sell those things. Irl, a cardigan often will takes a week or more to make. A very small plushie with normal cotton yarn, will take me an entire day or even two sometimes to make. Don't fret over it, it's very normal. Crocheting isn't a competition who does it faster,do it at ur own pace and have ur fun 😊❤️
When using chunky yarn, I usually start off my plushies with the chain 2 method, instead of magic circle, because I'll get frustrated when the mg wont close
Im 11 and you were one of the first crochet channles I ever saw. Now 10 months later I am managing to crochet cardigans and big teddies 🧸 it's very relieving to see someone who doesn't finish projects like this in the space of an hour lol love ya ❤
I’m 11 too and a happy crocheter! trust me it’s really hard when your starting but I recommend books instead of video tutorials they helped my friend a lot faster than videos :))
@@malak-r8g3c I’m also 11 but like just today I started, I had tried months ago on a deferent thing, but it didn’t work out, but this time I did it it worked really nice for my first time. I couldn’t finish because I didn’t have all the materials, but other than that I’d say it worked rlly nicely!
hey for the magic ring...you can try a different magic ring! I found one searching on RUclips for a mr for chunky yarn and clicked on it. It really helped and was much easier compared to the normal mr we usually use
You're so fast at this! As a complete beginner, I cannot do even a single crochet perfectly and look at her her, making three flawless crocheted items in under an hour 😱 Girl you're def an inspo for me 👏🏻 I love all the items so much I really appreciate all the efforts that you put into these videos! 😊
im 12 and i just started crocheting and i love it I had made 2 squares so far and one circle and a bad wallet and I made a second wallet and im in love with it. Im proud of how im doing while crocheting.
At first I thought I was a “slow crocheter”, whenever I would go on Tiktok I would see all these people crocheting a whole outfit in maybe 3 or 4 hours, but it took me maybe two days to make at least a shirt. I know I am still on the beginner side of this journey, but you have really motivated me too keep on crocheting. You have taught me that everyone crochets at their own paste. I love you❤❤❤ happy crocheting ❤
Fun video! I love the colorful fluffy yarn :) your pineapple is so cute! I always have to start projects at least three times, even for patterns I have done before!
Uff yeah! I need to do restart them like…3/4 times! Cause I’m also an average/beginner sometimes wants to make patterns in my own to experiment, it ends up I have to restart over again when I already closed and stitched the parts together TwT

I also respect the fact that you didn't edit the video or simply reshoot until everything went as planned. It's comforting to know that even experts have trouble with the magic loop. :p
I totally understand! The hardest part is starting the project with the chunky yarn. After that, it’s quite easy for me. The pineapple says thank you! haha
I was super frustrated with my first bulky yarn (Bernat Blanket, #6). A part of the problem was that I was trying to do a double crochet on too small of a hook that had a SHORT shaft. I got a larger hook with a longer shaft that didn't grab the yarn and tried again. Again, I felt like giving up, but then it suddenly 'clicked.' I made a pair of slippers with the same yarn.
I love crocheting, I remember in sixth grade I had a project where I had to make a full outfit and I crocheted it ! In fifth grade I had to create a sock monkey too and I created an outfit for it out of crochet.
You seem very joyful while crocheting. Love to see you embracing all the flaws and the entire journey of crocheting. Many RUclipsrs cut out their flaws and mistakes so I commend you for that.😊
Don't ever sell your self short. U wanna sell bags for more than Amazon prices do it!!! Amazon didn't take the time n effort to make em so of course they're gonna be super cheap. So I started crocheting a year ago,but gave up a few months later. since summer started I decided I needed something to keep me busy. So, I decided to get back into crocheting. So far, I have made 3 tiny froggies, and 3 tiny bears. I know your mostly supposed to use chunky yarn for plushies, but I feel like I'd lose my patience with it so I'm currently sticking to acrylic yarn. I'm really happy about crocheting RN and hope to get better. Luv ya
I saw the title and was like oh... um... ten rows??? I'm getting back into it after not really crocheting much for a year. My hubby's waffle scarf is very popular at his work this year. I'm doing ten rows a day and I'm pretty surprised I'm keeping that up o.o I will not be charging for my time because I'm desperate for money and she'd probably not pay for the time put in >.< So just charging for materials. It is making me fall back into love with crochet, as if I don't have enough projects XD But with ten rows a day it lets me do other stuff too and I don't get sore. I'll prolly increase it maybe but I am trying to start a gaming channel and I'm a full time Mom aaaand I'm autistic and adhd so this is a really good spot for me right now I think. With the ten rows a day not the charge... drama.
im glad you specified realistic times for your projects. I see influencers that say they can like, finish a bee in an hour and it's kind of demotivating. It takes me about 3 hours to make a bee, and I know that everyone works at different paces, but it does annoy me to see that people are finishing projects in such a small amount of time.
PLEASE make more videos like this, they are SO relaxing to watch and your talking and crocheting is so comforting. This video was really entertaining and relaxing and I hope to see more in the future! ^-^
Seeing how the magic ring wouldn’t tighten made me feel so much better. This happens to be every single time I just started crocheting this week and I love it but am getting discouraged. This video made me feel better! Love your channel!❤
I would probably start off with a ch-2, go back into the 1st ch with your first row, skip the 2nd ch (like a turning chain-that way it doesn't show) instead of doing a magic ring. The hole will be tight but not quite invisible, but you won't have to pull on your yarn or have issues with the texture. I do this alot, if the hole is too big, you can stitch it closed afterwards with the beginning tail. Great video.
Actual crochet & knit timing is a multi step process, done in 15 minute increments, using the main basic stitches, then a final 1 hour pattern test. For crochet: Count how many chain stitches you can make in 15 minutes. Then, multiply that by 4 to get CH’s per hour. Count how many SC in 15 minutes, multiple by 4 to get SC per hour. HDC in 15 minutes. Multiple by 4 to get HDC per hour. DC in 15 minutes. Multiply by 4 for DC’s per hour. Finally, from the beginning of a pattern, crochet nonstop for 1 hour. How far in the pattern did you get, Count the stitches per row/round to get where you stopped for total stitches per hour.
As a young crocheter, I love crocheting! With plush yarn there are two ways to make the magic ring/circle . You could crochet 2 sc (or stitch of your choosing) in it then pull then crochet the rest, or you can do the chain two method! Hope this helps a little
I restarted to learn how to crochet today after not chrocheting for like 3 weeks or 4 years and I have never related to someone making a magic ring more than this in my life it was very reassuring that it’s difficult for many people and not just me
I have the same frustration with the chunky yarn sometimes! either it rips as im trying to close the magic ring or frays the yarn from my pulling and i have trouble with the magic ring after from repeated do overs..so seeing it happen to someone else is like its not just me! I also like seeing someone who also has a similar speed as well to me because its amazing seeing some people who make cardigans and multiple tops in 1 hour and i just cant do much in an hour haha..i usually take at least a day or two depending on the amigurmi and more days for a scarf because ill get hand cramps if i do it for too long. I also laughed when when you said the peach looked like a boob because I did not see that until you pointed it out and I thought..."IT DOES LOOK!" LOL You have a great personality too and i love seeing the other projects you have done (:
Great to see what can be achieved in one hour! I always make sure to wind my yarn into cakes before starting. It takes time, but it is so much easier working with a flat-bottomed cake than chasing my yarn balls around the table/floor haha. Your creations are super cute!
Thank you! I don't have a yarn winder and I get too eager to start my projects, so I just use the skeins as is haha Someone also suggested putting my yarn in a large bowl to keep it from rolling all over. I'll have to try both recommendations!
I don't know if yalls yarn is different, but normally if you pull the end of the yarn that comes out the middle-end of the skein, it doesn't move, just unravels from the inside :)
Wow love your pineapple. I haven't made one of them as yet. I have made whales in felt for hand puppets. I do make simple hair scrungies for kindness for perfect strangers waitresses bus boys & girls. Friends family members and simply almost anyone anywhere I am. I even made some one day for someone donated yarns to me for making beanies for chemotherapy patient's here in Florida. My goals were to make enough for several friends extended family members. However because of health concerns at moment my beanies have been put on hold. But i am working on weight loss and getting my yarns together for my projects I presently have going on. I have one felt puppet I have designed up to use multi colors yarns on his backside since he/she is going to be porcupine hand puppet for myself or grandchildren to play with. Have great Wednesday. God Bless you always.
The pineapple says “thanks!” I love how you use crochet and crafts to help others. I eventually want to make some items to donate as well. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a great Wednesday too!
I'll link the patterns I used! I normally search on RUclips, Google, or Etsy for patterns. Pineapple - I designed most of it myself, but I did have some help with the leaves. I based it off of this pattern: www.allaboutami.com/amigurumi-pineapple-purse/ Peach - amiguworld.com/video/free-pattern-how-to-crochet-a-peach-amigurumi/ Whale - ruclips.net/video/CxjnVeX9hv0/видео.html
I've done a lot of experimenting with velvet yarns, some of which are super fragile (You could look at them the wrong way and they little suckers start to fray and the velvet will start to fall off.) What I've found to work best is to make those beginning stitches looser than you normally would. Especially the beginning slip stitch, cause that one tends to be the tightest, and can make your MR can stuck super easily. But once I started making my first stitches looser, it made it so much easier and didn't actually affect the look of the plushies at all. Your stuff is sooo adorable!! Good luck on your crocheting journey! ^w^
You Inspire me so Much and encourage me to Start crocheting!!! Im 13 and I recently just finished crocheting a mini octopus since I wanted to try it out after finding you on RUclips, Keep Up The Good Work !💙💙
This was such a fun video, I really really need to get into amigurumi that pineapple is soo cute!! I want to design or find a pattern for a capybara plush I love them (coconut doggy)
I use a slip knot chain 2 out then go back around to the slip knot to crochet 6 for a circle. IDK if that helps with the tearing but it helps me out a little.
if you don’t like the little piece of yarn sticking out to make you restart just turn it inside out when you’re almost done and then crochet it closed, it looks neater too in my opinion
Plushies do work up pretty fast. I think it causes an irritation for trying to do other stuff X3 I really wanna try Laylala's plushies in the velvet yarn. They'd be so huge but so pretty and soft!
This made me feel so much better about my crocheting! I mean, if someone experienced also messes up the magic rings and takes longer than the tutorial videos.. Then its ok that I, as a beginner, take like 1h to finish 10 min projects 🤣
Your shopping video popped up in my feed yesterday and I'm so glad it did! This was an awesome video 😄. Also i might have missed it but what yarn did you use for your pineapple and peach?
This is the first time I've seen you and I have subscribed. It was fascinating to watch, your poor little hands must ache when you're working with such thick yarn and hook, I know mine do. I love Chenille but don't like working it up. xx 🥰👏
Thank you so much for the kind comment and for subscribing! My hands actually hurt less when I work with thick yarn and hooks! They hurt a lot when I use smaller hooks & yarn 😅
you probably already know this, but a much easier way for magic circles is to chain 2, and work all your sc stitches into the first chain u made! (it also tightens MUCH better.)😊
A tip for any beginners or anyone, it’s best to take the middle string of the yarn that way you don’t have to constantly unwind or your yarn won’t get tangled as easy!
Aww thank you so much! I do not have a pattern for the pineapple at the moment. If I can successfully recreate it, I will share it. Would you prefer a written pattern or video? or both? haha
I am so glad that the magic ring situation is not just me, I have. The SAME exact yarn so it is probably just the yarn that’s hard to make magic ring❤️❤️
Oh also with yarn that chunk you could probably get away with starting with a two chain ring instead of a magic circle. The chanel or whatever sort of yarn like that is such a pain and frogging it just ruins it usually. I always have to try complicated patterns I've never done before >.> best plan.
I loved watching you crochet! I just started and I really enjoyed crocheting with you!:)) it’s very discouraging seeing such speedy hands on other workers. I will say for a beginner my hands aren’t as slow(it’s not a bad thing to be slow) as some others but I’ve also got experience from 11 year old me lol, it was really fun and seeing some of your plushies you made gave me ideas😁
I’m glad you enjoyed this video! I agree, sometimes I felt like I wasn’t good enough because I couldn’t crochet extremely fast, but now I have learned to enjoy the process rather than crocheting fast 😊
I've bought some yarn for a blanket for my nephew. And it must have some quality issue because when I'm trying to work it, it keeps kinda off falling apart? I'm a newbie so I don't know how common that is. You seemed to have the same issue on that ring.
thank you so much! I use a 10 mm hook for this yarn. to make the tamago sushi, I combined a few different patterns from youtube and made some tweaks haha
I had the same problem and I found out that if you make the first one loose and once you add the sc’s and push them back you can pull the yarn and it works perfectly
Many of you asked what yarn I'm using in this video! I used Sweet Snuggles Yarn by Loops & Threads.

Thanks for the advice! I haven’t tried doing 2 SC, pulling, then doing the rest of the SCs. I’ll try this next time!
“I’m going to do something really cringe right now”
That got me 😂 it’s really cool how much she can make in an hour though!
I restarted to learn how to crochet today after not chrocheting for like 3 weeks or 4 years and I have never related to someone making a magic ring more than this in my life it was very reassuring that it’s difficult for many people and not just me
This is SO relatable. Sometimes the magic ring doesn’t want to cooperate with me 🥲
Me hace sentir que es normal equivocarse, yo me frustro mucho cuando no me sale algo y me estreso mucho.. me encanta tu cuenta !
I also laughed when when you said the peach looked like a boob because I did not see that until you pointed it out and I thought..."IT DOES LOOK!" LOL
You have a great personality too and i love seeing the other projects you have done (:
Great to see what can be achieved in one hour! I always make sure to wind my yarn into cakes before starting. It takes time, but it is so much easier working with a flat-bottomed cake than chasing my yarn balls around the table/floor haha. Your creations are super cute!
Thank you! I don't have a yarn winder and I get too eager to start my projects, so I just use the skeins as is haha Someone also suggested putting my yarn in a large bowl to keep it from rolling all over. I'll have to try both recommendations!
I don't know if yalls yarn is different, but normally if you pull the end of the yarn that comes out the middle-end of the skein, it doesn't move, just unravels from the inside :)
the magic ring not closing on the chunky wool is SO RELATABLE!!!
Here’s a tip
Don’t make it so tight in the Magic ring
So when u pull it it is not so tight so make the single crochet looser
I’m a beginner, and I’ve made hats and a scarf and stuff like that, but never plushies. This really motivated me to try them!
I love the pineapple and peach and whale. Where do you find those patterns?
I'll link the patterns I used! I normally search on RUclips, Google, or Etsy for patterns.
Pineapple - I designed most of it myself, but I did have some help with the leaves. I based it off of this pattern: www.allaboutami.com/amigurumi-pineapple-purse/
Peach - amiguworld.com/video/free-pattern-how-to-crochet-a-peach-amigurumi/
Whale - ruclips.net/video/CxjnVeX9hv0/видео.html
@@peachy_bits thank you so much 💓
@@MzCR73 you’re welcome! 😊
The amount of times I've snapped yarn while trying to pull my mr is ridiculous
You Inspire me so Much and encourage me to Start crocheting!!! Im 13 and I recently just finished crocheting a mini octopus since I wanted to try it out after finding you on RUclips, Keep Up The Good Work !💙💙
I love the pineapple, looks very huggable, warm and cosy 😊
thank you! it is indeed huggable and warm 😌
Best feeling: crocheting while watching you crochet
This was such a fun video, I really really need to get into amigurumi that pineapple is soo cute!! I want to design or find a pattern for a capybara plush I love them (coconut doggy)
Thank you, I had fun making this video! A capybara plush sounds so cute! I want to see it when it's done!
I use a slip knot chain 2 out then go back around to the slip knot to crochet 6 for a circle. IDK if that helps with the tearing but it helps me out a little.
Her: is so good at it
Me: LOOK MOM I MADE A POT HOLDER IN A HOUR.
hahaha I would say I’m average in terms of speed 😂
Lol 😂
When I use the chunky I do like one chain two chain the put how many stitches I need in the first stitch works just as well as a regular magic ring
Wow just ran into your channel and I love what you did thank you so much for your video god bless you and your family
If you pull the string from the inside of the yarn it comes out faster and alot more neat and definitely saves time! :)))
Thanks for the tip! Sometimes I have a hard time finding the end from the middle though 😭
I don't think loops and threads plush yarns have center pulls... at least I could never find mine
You were my inspiration to start crocheting 🧶!
aww this warms my heart so much, you have no idea! I hope I get to see your creations one day!
if you don’t like the little piece of yarn sticking out to make you restart just turn it inside out when you’re almost done and then crochet it closed, it looks neater too in my opinion
Love the peach thx for helping me crochet
thank you! 🍑
Plushies do work up pretty fast. I think it causes an irritation for trying to do other stuff X3 I really wanna try Laylala's plushies in the velvet yarn. They'd be so huge but so pretty and soft!
Sometimes the project gets tighter when the hook isn’t the right size btw! ☺️
The yarn did call for a size 11mm hook but I only had up to a 10mm hook. I’ll try to ease my tension haha
This made me feel so much better about my crocheting! I mean, if someone experienced also messes up the magic rings and takes longer than the tutorial videos.. Then its ok that I, as a beginner, take like 1h to finish 10 min projects 🤣
love this so much! I've been trying to find more crochet youtubers on here, glad that I found yours! subbed :)
thank you! I love watching other crochet youtubers too. I peaked at your channel and your creations are so cute!
@@peachy_bits aww thanks so much 🥰
After watching your videos I got inspired to start crocheting so now I’ve ordered a kit for it and it’s arriving soon so I’m really excitedddd
Your shopping video popped up in my feed yesterday and I'm so glad it did! This was an awesome video 😄. Also i might have missed it but what yarn did you use for your pineapple and peach?
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I definitely forgot to mention the yarn. It’s Sweet Snuggles Yarn by Loops & Threads!
Omg so cute! I just found you channel, but I wish I found it earlier!!
Loved this video but a little tip for the magic ring is to chain 2 and go into the 2nd stitch it’s a lot easier to do
I tried this the other day and it worked like a charm!
New sub! I have thin yarn and I wanna make small “plushies” can u make a beginner friendly tutorial for that?
I can do my best! What kind of “plushie” would you like to make? or what color yarn do you have?
A tip for any beginners or anyone, it’s best to take the middle string of the yarn that way you don’t have to constantly unwind or your yarn won’t get tangled as easy!
My only concern about this is all the outside yarn collapsing and getting tangled at the end 😂
@@peachy_bits haha yeah it does happen sometimes! I never have mine organized but I think both ways work! :) I love your videos btw
New sub! I’m loving these crochet challenges 🧶
❤️❤️❤️
i am currently making my first swetar ever cant waiit to see the rezalts
Please make yarn collection video 🥺
I will just for you 😇
Everytim3 I do a magic circle it curves in and I don’t know why
Hi! That pineapple is SOOO cute! by any chance do you have a pattern for it? I would LOVE to make one for me. New sub here! Your crochet is so cute!
Aww thank you so much! I do not have a pattern for the pineapple at the moment. If I can successfully recreate it, I will share it. Would you prefer a written pattern or video? or both? haha
@@peachy_bits Either or - Personally I prefer written. If you wan't I could film a video for it here on RUclips?
@@crochetlane821 Cool, I’ll try to work on the pattern and keep this in mind!
@@peachy_bits Awesome :) 🍍🍍
@@peachy_bits Just checking that you are still working on a pattern! 🍍🍍
i would unironically buy a giant crochet diva cup from u in a heartbeat HAHAHA
I am so glad that the magic ring situation is not just me, I have. The SAME exact yarn so it is probably just the yarn that’s hard to make magic ring❤️❤️
For me, probably one thing
Crochet tip for magic ring with fluffy/bulky yarn try making the ring with acrylic yarn then add in the flufy/bulky yarn before closing the ring
I’ll try that out!
Oh also with yarn that chunk you could probably get away with starting with a two chain ring instead of a magic circle. The chanel or whatever sort of yarn like that is such a pain and frogging it just ruins it usually. I always have to try complicated patterns I've never done before >.> best plan.
That koya plush is so cute!! The dedication is real I am very slow at crocheting but it’s definitely worth it in the end😭
When I use chunky yarn I just chain 2 and work in the first chain, magic rings are too much trouble 😅
this girl is gifted 😭
like bro it takes me an hour to finish a single chain row
dude this comment makes me feel so special hehe I just practiced a lot and got faster as I practiced more
when im doing magic rings with chunky yarn I make the ring out of 4mm yarn so you can just pull it tight like a knot
this is so smart! I might try it next time hehe
I've bought some yarn for a blanket for my nephew. And it must have some quality issue because when I'm trying to work it, it keeps kinda off falling apart? I'm a newbie so I don't know how common that is. You seemed to have the same issue on that ring.
I love plushie yarn but I only have regular yarn and in 2 days I am gonna get my first plushie yarn in green to make a frog and I am so excited!
What yarn do u use??
I always do magic circles wrong multiple times before getting it right! 😅
2:17 Which Kinda yarn is that? It looks so fluffy
My mum is on a crocheting/ knitting craze rn and is making so many things I literally cannot comprehend 💀
Looove the tamago sushi....want that! What sized hook do you use for the phat yarn?
thank you so much! I use a 10 mm hook for this yarn. to make the tamago sushi, I combined a few different patterns from youtube and made some tweaks haha
I had the same problem and I found out that if you make the first one loose and once you add the sc’s and push them back you can pull the yarn and it works perfectly
Thanks for the tip! I’ll try it out 😊
Hello I have a question how many single stitches can you make in 1 minute sorry if that's a weird question
Hi what yarn do you have for that peach color and the pineapple
Good job for Christmas I got crocheting stuff
I’m so happy for you! I got some crochet stuff as well haha
This was SUCH an AMAZING vid!❤❤
I love the stuff you crochet
Thank you so much! 💕
it is so cool how you make all those things
Can you do a full tutorial on the pineapple?
I'm making it a goal to do a video tutorial in early next year!
omg ur crochet is sooooo cool!!!
