@@madlion8435 By the way, what do you think about the subwoofer? I want to change the sub, I think to put some kind of sub brand alpine, priority for club music.
they only go down to 70Hz
For that, I'd get something else. JBL on the cheap or some Hertz or Kickers that handle more power.
Alpine s65 vs skar tx65?? which is better??
Alpine hands down
@@madlion8435 alpine is better? I will use my Tucson's radio, is the difference in quality much?
@@alonsoenrique5909 yes there is a huge difference. However, you will not see the full benefit unless you use an external amplifier.
how is the bass and overall sound might get some this weekend
the alpine
They produce good solid bass for their size. It's not going to be overwhelming, but you'll be able to hear the bass notes in the songs. It has a nice, clean rich sound.
i'm gonna buy a pair
You won't be disappointed.
@@madlion8435 i bought the alpine's today and fitted them in my car with a 4 channel orion amplifier, they sound pretty good.. shame that they don't come with speaker grills tho
S65 vs rs65 . I want to do the s In the back and I’m debating the r in the front
Solid choice. If you're not pushishing them to their limits I wouldn't spend the extra money on the R. The S series have great sound.
@@madlion8435 so far I’m going to run no amp, they are going on my Silverado so I’m replacing the crappy paper speakers. It’s just 130 vs 300 with tweeter and all so idk if it’s worth it
Are you running the factory amp ?
Yes, kicker 5 channel
@@madlion8435 how did you bypass the Bose factory amp ?
@@TheSAG10 yes. It served its purpose for the factory speakers but not nearly powerful enough to run the alpine's.
How good is the bass?
Decent mid bass but not too overwhelming. You'll need to add a sub if you're looking for "real" bass.
Which is better, alpine s-s65 or focal ec-165k?
I don't think this is a fair comparison between the two speakers. You're talking about one speaker that is below $100 and another pair that is worth several hundred dollars. And by answering which is better several things come to mind. What sound are you trying to achieve or you looking for max volume or you looking for a mid base there are several things that you can factor in to determine which is a better speaker.
@@madlion8435 I'm looking for more alive sound, ok, i'm gonna change the question, which sounds more alive, alpine s-s65 or focal ec-165k?
@@markfrederick5012 honestly you would be ok with the Alpines unless you just want to spend additional money on the Focals
@@madlion8435 You did not answer my question 😞
@@markfrederick5012 Focal, period.
Of coarse they sound better than skar.... skar isn't about quality sound.
😎👍
what amp are you using
kicker 44kxa800.5
Honest feedback these are not great for a factory drop in but if you get the right amp and set it up the right way they sound good but as he said you might hunger for a little bit more If you’re looking for a cheap way just get some meds and hot as you can always put a cap on the speaker and block the bass to an extent but this video is more focused on the boom side of things can’t say enough about scar product for the bang for your buck your neighbors are gonna fucking hate you but thanks for the review and I’ll be subscribe and keep it up remember set your amp and leave the adjustments alone find the max game don’t turn it up when your boy gets in the passenger seat set it and forget it great review dude thanks
Thanks bro. I appreciate your feedback. Real and honest 💯
Bet I’m sold
How would you compares tjis with RS652
The R's would definitely give you a warmer sound, but, to me, I wouldn't pay the difference.
@@madlion8435 appreciate your reply, if one has a budget if over 300$ which one would be the best as theres so much info out there common ppl like us cant make out the difference, you are an expert, kindly reply
@@madlion8435 whats ur top pick in 200+$ range?
@@vway555 that will all depend on the size speaker you're looking for
@@madlion8435 same as this alpine size
Focal , Hertz , Infinity , JBL make the Best car speakers
Well we're talkin" bout Alpine here..
Why do my alpines sound like shit when it hits bass
Are you speaking in general or specifically about these? Because, I'm not having that same experience with these.
@@madlion8435 specifically about these… my boss speakers on my other truck that are cheaper sound 10x better!
@@madlion8435 the bass is also good as-well, doesn’t rattle
Alpine update?
Still blasting them. No issues. I haven't even considered replacing them. The soundstage is great.
@@madlion8435 don’t know too much which is why I’m asking a broad question, is the bass loud on these? I was playing this on my phone so I wouldn’t know
@@madlion8435 I plan on buying these if you say the bass on these are a step up from other speakers
@@bottomtext5473 mid bass is very good. Will you be pushing them with an amp?
Bought the alpine speakers, installed today. I’m so pissed I picked them. They sound utterly atrocious.
Edit: the amp is probably not tuned right.
Edit 2: these speakers are good when the amp is tuned properly 💪
They are the coldest, steel like high end ear damage bullshit. Not a warm sound on any frequency. So pissed
@@danw7864 are you using an amp?
@@madlion8435 I am yeah
@@madlion8435 there is wayyyy less fullness than my cars original dimension factory system.
@@danw7864 honestly not sure why, or what could cause it. In the Hummer they sound amazing with my amp.
