    Thanks for that. We tried to see this twice in Auckland,New Zealand. 2020 his voice cracked after 40 minutes, home we went. 2023 we had the heaviest rain storm in history - no EJ, just a biblical flood. Happy for the memory of 1973 when he played to 30,000, then his biggest event, releasing YBR for the first time. Go Elton!😊😊😊😊

    Elton Owned the 1970’s and at the END of 4 decades later he’s still got some awesome...which is what this performance was: awesome! (But holy crap you shoulda seen Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting in 1974!) Bless you Sir Elton!

      it's mainly because of a surgery that he went through in 1986. You can see a big change if you play 1985 and 1986 versions. :)

    I just listened to this one next to an early version. It's still a classic song and I'd love to have heard it live, but singers have a lot more high notes in them when they are young. I wish him a healthy and well deserved retirement.

      There was a drummer (Nigel Olsson), a percussionist (Ray Cooper), and another musician who played keyboards, sang back up, and played percussion. So there were others who were playing percussion instruments.

      He is 73. That meeting you are talking about possibly wont happen for the next 10 years at least

    • @bobbybowers356
      @bobbybowers356 4 года назад

      Savrawars The Bible says none of us are promised tomorrow, and if he is having health issues now, he needs to be ready in case he dies. And if you were referring to the rapture, it can happen at anytime.

    • @Savrawars
      @Savrawars 4 года назад +1

      @@bobbybowers356 you can never be ready for the event of death.
      I dont care what the bible says.
      Yes you are not promised tomorrow but so what?
      I am 19 and I have health issues.
      Should I be ready in case I die?
      Maybe.
      But only a god could be ready.
      And I am just a mortal.
      Therefore , I cant be ready for something like that, so I enjoy every moment without thinking about it

    • @bobbybowers356
      @bobbybowers356 4 года назад

      Savrawars where are you getting your facts from, and what meeting were you talking about that will be at least ten years from now? We can all be ready to die, by being saved. Everyone does not go to heaven, if fact the Bible teaches that most will not. The choice is yours. You can choose to believe or not. But I do know that Elton, or no one can go to heaven if they are homosexual, unless they repent. That is not my opinion, nor what I want, but it is what God said. I wish that they could go to heaven, but what we wish or choose to believe does not count or make is so. It is what God says that counts.

      No his voice is just deeper, you have to remember that Elton did a lot of drugs back in the day, he drank too. Along with that he also had a vocal chord surgery in the 80's. After all of the stuff that he did that 100% affected his range and voice in general and the only thing to happen is for his voice to gradually get deeper is amazing. No his voice isnt what it was in the 70's, but it still is powerful and healthy and fantastic.
