Over 120 Meter flight 400 feet high
A small clip of Purling Brook Falls using my Dji Phantom 2 Vision.
I had no satellite reception, so I had to fly in manual mode.
Also had a headwind racing down through the canyon.
I had fun and learnt a lot from that day.
And met some cool people thanks for your help.

Nice spot! I went for a walk there and thought it would be a great place to fly. Some high speed acro diving off the lookout at the top would be so much fun, but a long walk to pick up the pieces if you crashed!
It's a great place to fly, limited satellite reception.
Best time to fly is during the week there will be less people.

Wow, awesome footage.
Even without GPS lock, you can still fly it ATTI mode and not have to worry about manual flight. ATTI mode is also a lot smoother than GPS mode. (for video)

When I made this footage I had only had my P2V for 48 hours.

Very stable even without GPS connection! Dji Phantom is very amazing! I want one! I only have a Ar Drone 2.0, but the max is 80m and it isn't very stable ...

Thanks...DJI Phantom Vision is heaps better. I also have a Ar Drone it's still in the cupboard somewhere...lol. It cost a lot more but definitely worth it !

I'm originally from Mission Beach FNQ , i have been living on the Gold Coast for many years now.
FNQ is a great place to fly,can't wait to film some old Haunts .
I'm planning on a trip up the coast to film some spots later in the year - Mission would be ideal.

ATTI mode would have been much smoother, i have 2 phantoms, the P2V and the P2V+, still havent tried out manual mode lol
I agree.... At the time of making this clip.
I had only had my P2V for under 24 hours.
Is hard to see but the wind is funnelling Down through the canyon.
I was thinking of redoing the clip, but Hey it's fastly approaching 10500 views.

The vision 2 already has Find My Phantom on it and it works VERY WELL Even with the battery out of it
