Hi Micah. This is Dhara.I am one of the girls from Rahul's group.Loved your work.Byron bay is always my favourite place to go and this video gives a completly diff unseen view of Cape Byron. Wonderful work again!!!! Just received pics from Rahul.Thanks.
Another nice video, Micah. What set up (Specs) are you using on your DJI Phantom these days? Is it still a stock out of the box set up you used for this video?
Thanks Warwick.... Setup is stock, straight out of the box so to speak. I'm currently installing a 2 axis gimbal which will improve stability dramatically. P.S I also have a P2V+ on its way from Santa, I mean DHL ..lol
Thanks Marcel. . . The footage was taken with my phantom2 vision first Gen. not bad for a one axis gimbal. I managed to take some great stills that morning
Hi Carmille M ... Yeah that's fine as long as it's not useful commercial purposes. I managed to get some High Res Stills that day, that were just Awesome. Please Like And Subscribe
Very nice vid. What kind of gimbal do you have. I see a lot of jello Try to get rid of that jello and you are on the perfect location to make advertising vids for tourists to come to Australia Very beautiful location
edit I see you don’t have a gimbal. Just the standard phantom 2 vision. Buy one and your very happy I guarantee you My advise …. Buy one from Dronexpert.. im very happy with it
Hey rr h .... Glad you liked the video and thanks for the compliment. The Jell-O effect is due to the stabilisation software within Final Cut Pro. The raw footage doesn't have Jell-O but is shaky. Yes I agree, a Dronexpert Gimbal would help with my footage. I heard rumours that Dji are only weeks off releasing a native gimbal for the P2V. That isn't as heavy as Gimbals currently on the market today Thanks once again
micahkiter I still fly 20 -25 minutes depends of the wind. I live in the north of the Netherlands on the island Texel There is (almost ) always wind. Im very pleased with the service Dronexpert give me. I crashed my phantom lately 1 cable inside the phantom came loose and it came down 10 - 15 meters high on asphalt and the gimbal is totally 100% broken together with the shell and 1 motor and 1 battery. I bought the phantom at Toemen but they don’t give guaranties when you crash and dji don’t give guaranties either. These guys from Dronexpert Gonne give me a new gimbal for free (they try to fix the crashed gimbal) So Dronexpert can’t do anything wrong for me anymore you understand (save’s me a lot of money) My work is nearby the place where Dronexpert is , so I met these guys and they are extremely cool dudes. The damage for me is now around 188 euro’s I can live with that. A new gimbal for me would cost another 561 euro’s Good luck with the gimbal you are choosing If you choose the Dronexpert gimbal you can say that Richard from Texel advised you to buy one from them and maybe you get the same service as I have
rr h Great flight time. I just had a look on Google maps at Texel Island where you live. I also Kite Surf might have to come over there one day. I'd heard a lot good things about the people at Dronexpert, good after sales service is hard to come by these days. I will give Dji a month to release their gimbal. If nothing happens it might be time to buy the Dronexpert.. Great talking to you and thanks for the advice.. Keep flying Micah P.s here is my first video with my P2V Dji Phantom 2 Vision : Fly Over Purling Brook Falls Springbrook National Park Australia
OMG OMG!! I WAS THERE YESTERDAY AND BROUGHT BY PHANTOM 2 VISION+ BUT NEVER FLEW IT COS I THOUGHT DRONES WERE BANNED THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUUUGH!!!! I SOULD HAVE FLOWN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No... when ever I go to a location to film. I use common sense, it was a cold day and nobody was up there. I can understand the Rangers worry about your Quad hitting somebody, if the place is crowded. There's many times I've been to a location and it's either too many people or too high risk to fly in the area. What you have to remember is a possible malfunction of your Drone. Not your piloting skills. Safety first always Micah
i dont see any jello, i see a little shaking is all, jello is the undulating lines caused by the vibration from the motors, the P2V has rubber camera mounts on the gimbal, that fixed the jello problem, but this phantom only has a 1 axis gimbal, so your going to get some shaking. that problem was fully resolved with the P2V+, it has a 3 axis gimbal and the shots you get are so stable you'd think the camera was on a boom. here is an example of jello at 21seconds...... Hi, I was just wondering if you would be able to operate the drone for us in our upcoming music video shoot? It might be finished in less than an hour and the footage is to be used for like 4 seconds in the clip. We are willing to pay. Could you please email me at sabin@nyfa.edu Many thanks
Very nice video!!
Thanks PV2+ Adventures..... My skills have improved since making this Post.
I'm glad you enjoyed it
This is so cool. It NEEDS to be in an advert for Tourism Australia!
Thanks Rachel... Come to think of it , it would be good for a Tourism Promotional Video.
You never know.

Yes..... But this footage was taken with my Phantom Vision first generation.

micahkiter Oh... Ok, Did anybody comment on your phantom?
