Although I've been listening to Indian classical music for quite sometimes, I've never been listening to this raag until you cover it now. Through your guidance I've listened to a variety of performances in different media and I've found the rendering of Pandit Shiv Kumar on santoor really expresses the mood of the raga. Do you agree with me on this.
I'm a 73 year-old Cambodian (Khmer) fan of yours. Through your teaching I listen raag now, not just with my heart, but also with my head.

YES! wow I didnt know megh malhar and miyan ki marhar were different
Gaud malhar is from bilawal thaat( sometimes if komal nishad is prioritized...it belongs to khamaj thaat) other two are from kafi thaat. Megh malhar only has sa re ma pa ni, ni is komal, but in miyan malhar, all the seven swras are used, including both nishads and komal gandhar.

There has not been any film song in the said raag before, until JHOOTHAY NAINA
