    Trevor I love your videos. We are on the East Coast so I’m working with our local fireplace and grill store, but your videos were instrumental in my decision to go with a Napoleon Prestige Pro 500. And your head to head Kamado v gas tomahawk cook off just reiterated the wisdom of my decision. I’ve got a Weber Summit Charcoal Grilling Center and I wish I’d seen your video before I nearly wrecked a tomahawk on it because I didn’t set up an indirect cooking zone (fortunately I’ve got a Genesis II 325 on the deck until the Napoleon arrives so I lit it and recovered). But it’s gonna be tomahawk reverse sear on the Prestige Pro all the way and brisket on the Summit Charcoal moving forward. Until I find $15K in the sofa and I order my Hestan that is. I’ve been lusting after one for years after seeing them at the Restaurant Show and having Basil give me the pitch. For now my Hestan love is satisfied by my NanoBond cookware. Keep posting and I’ll keep watching! 😹😹😹

    Thanks for all the great hands on reviews on the gas grilles you carry. Wondering why you don't offer Saber in your product line. I understand you can only carry so many brands and satisfy those vendors. My interest in Saber is because of the all infrared burners. Is this the reason you don't choose to sell Saber, that all infrared may have it's disadvantages, maybe not being able to provide lower cooking temperatures? Thanks again Trevor.

    I don’t think a couple of cheap LED lights in the lid and knobs are worth the extra price. The coyote’s soft linear light looks nice though. Probably the biggest features I want to know about are cleaning and longevity. How many parts to clean? Is it intuitive and easy to disassemble to get down into the tub? How do you access the grease catcher? Which grill has the least number of places where grease tends to build up?

    • @madbarr76
      @madbarr76 11 месяцев назад

      I own the coyote. Cleaning is fairly simple. The grease catcher is a drawer that slides out. I foil mine. I removed the grates and just turn over the briquette and burn them off. I use my wifes cleaning mixture to keep the stainless looking good on the outside. The inside of the firebox has that darkened look from all the grease splatter. I am not concerned with that personally. I went from a weber spirit 320 to the coyote S 36inch, so of course I am impressed. I have used my grill 8 of the last 9 days, so you can tell i use it often. I also use a 2 burner camp chef 14 inch griddle on my grill (i had it) and when i need to griddle, it works perfectly. cleanup of the griddle is adjusted to not having a grease trap container, but i still manage. This grill will push 750 degrees on high, I have burned myself quite often, and ended up buying longer tools, ha!

    What is the difference in the prestige 665 and the prestige 665 Pro, is it just the icebox and lights? It’s a 1k difference in price at my local store

      @embersliving  2 года назад +1

      We have a video between the 500 and the pro 500. Same thing with the 665 if you want to check out the video

    Was getting worried when I saw the 500 at 4. After watching the videos and seeing the price difference it makes sense because you can’t beat that price. Video idea for you. Review the cheapest grills you can find at the box store. You do a great break down of the features and it may help someone who only has 1-3 hundred to spend to find something that may make it two years without rusting.

    It wasn’t clear why he picked the Blaze over the Coyote. It seemed like the Coyote had everything the Blaze does plus the burner upgrade and infrared searing burner. Maybe just preferring the stainless heat deflector Vs briquettes? If so does the standard coyote stainless deflectors do as well as the Blaze?

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  Год назад +1

      yes you are correct, I would say the standard SS does just as good, and our Customer service has been a little better with Blaze
