"Innocent until proven guilty" is how it goes INSIDE the court but in preparing a case the weight of evidence presumes "guilty until proven innocent" otherwise they don't bring the case to court
The DA isn't required to presume the the innocence of the defendant they're prosecuting. DA has the burden of PROVING the accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
