Great question, most people don't think about that. For most health insurance policies it has to be life threatening. However, most policies have standard clauses that specifically exclude coverage if you purposely or knowingly put yourself in harmsway or engage in risky behavior. I would say (30 years in insurance) all major carriers will deny and they will have a long hard fight to get ANY of the medical claims paid. This video will not help.
He must not have been too seriously injured; he had time to make a video and laughing about it. Suggest making some noise in the grass if you're in "bearitory" so the wildlife isn't startled; maybe it would have had a different outcome.

I agree making some noise could have avoided the situation! But they were probably too busy trying to sneak up on some other innocent animal to kill. Either way they accomplished their goal or killing something, this one just fought back & died for it. Anyone who hunts shouldn't be allowed to buy meat at the store. I'm sure they didn't want to kill the bear. But the bear attacked. It was either him or the bear. He chose to live. He chose like a normal human would. For those that say they don't have a right to hunt: Why not? Our food today is processed and not as healthy as wild food. If you say "no hunting" then you must be in favor of how they put chickens in coups/cages their whole life and pump them full of steroids before k!lling them. That's a terrible humane argument. And if you believe in being vegetarian, then you should lobby hard for people to have to hunt or raise their own meat to eat as part of their diet and end process food like the chickens and beef slaughter. Why? Because hunting and raising animals is difficult, hard work. Most people will settle on being a vegetarian instead having to do all that. Something to think about.
