Thank you! I thought about re-decorating the gardens for the video, but I'd already spent so much time crafting, I just went with what was there lol The mansion yard is my fav too though :P
These district skins have to be some of the best they've made. I LOVE mix and matching different parts of houses and you're totally right - they look good in any ward!
thanks for the video, was looking stuff up at the start of 6.2 and noticed the housing looks. Always hard to find sites that show the stuff well, so finding a amazing video of all of it was the best.
Thanks so much for this Ellie!!!! Super hopeful for a medium but we’ll see! This helps a lot! Was wondering how all the new exterior walls and roofs looked!
Thanks! This really helped us figuring out what we want our exteriors to be. I never found any good images that didn't have 3000 others things blocking the view or was a combination of different things.
Thats awesome, so glad it could help! I couldnt find any good images of them myself, so figured I'd throw something together, but man I'd kill for a 3000 slot limit in the yard LOL
I'm sorry! It was definitely a bit of a mess, but I have high hopes that YoshiP will do his best to fix it. I'll cross my fingers for everyone! And thanks!
@Elllie Net another question. Actually two. how do you canter the brick paths from the front door to the fence...when I put them right in the middle of the doorway, by the time I get to the fence they are off-center there just a bit. Do you gradually just move them over as you go? 2nd question, what are the mulchy-looking brown things around the doorway! I am taking some inspiration from this minimalist approach to the yard.
I typically start from the gate - might not be the most efficient way but works for me, that way I'm pretty confident it's centered by the time i get to the door. The last brick square I mess around with just dropping it straight out of storage, like Peef mentioned. Before you confirm it you can make really small movements with your camera while dropping it over and over so you can perfect the placement! Takes a bit of patience, but every now and then you luck out and get it right on the first go lol. And the mulchy/dirt looking stuff is just gravel dyed brown! Mine is loam brown, but I tend to swap it up and use whatever darker brown looks good with whatever else I have going on in the yard. Hope this helps!
@@cyradus after! That way i dont have to waste slots by putting it the whole way under the brick section close to the door, it just clips under a tiny bit so theres no gap
@@ellienet I have been trying to get them into a round semicircle but I struggle with their flat edges...gonna keep trying but I cant get them as "round" as yours haha. thanks for the info.
Thanks for what you do! It's beautiful work :) Quick question: I'm so new to the game but have recently started bidding for housing. Can you mix the material for houses, i.e. Composite roof and wood walls? Or do you have to stay with what is purchased on the permit?
Sorry for the late reply here, and I'm sure you've got your answer by now, but incase anyone else reading is curious, yep, you can definitely mix and match. You can also mix and match with parts from the other district sets. Some of them look really awesome together to change up the vibe!
Most of the Highland walls have parts that are dyable! I included footage of swapping between undyed, Snow White dye and soot black dye for each wall so you can see the parts that change!
The balcony door and balcony for all mansions (any exterior) is completely non functional. The door doesnt open and furniture isnt placeable on it. it's just to look cute. The forge skin took a step in the right direction when they added a stair case to it. But thats as much progress as we've got :(
If you're relocating you can just craft them (or buy off the MB) and put them on through the remodel exterior menu in the housing menu! They're all level 60 recipies, so not too bad!
make sure the item is in your storage, then place it from the storage. it's called the storage placement glitch, people have made youtube vids about how to do it
You're probably the only person on the internet that has a compreshensive guide of how the Ishgard houses look like thank so much for this :')
Short. Simple. To the point. No fluff and well presented.
Thank you.
Glad it could help!
Very handy! I love what you did with the mansion yard. It looked fantastic
Thank you! I thought about re-decorating the gardens for the video, but I'd already spent so much time crafting, I just went with what was there lol The mansion yard is my fav too though :P

Very nice, chill video. Thank you for putting all of that together.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
the quality and vibe of your videos are fantastic! please keep them up!
Thank you so much Ashi! I've been mega busy as of late, but will do my best to keep them coming!
thank you SO much for this, now I know how to customize my new empyreum house to feel the most Ishgardian

You're welcome Gary! Glad it could help you out!
Thank you. This was so helpful! Just the information I needed.
Yay! Glad I could help!
Hi! Thank you very much for this video. Been wandering about other windows and fences design since I chose stone cottage with permit :)
Ooo you were lucky enough to get a house then! Congrats! And glad it helped!
I love the effort you put into this, very helpful. It's hard to find good FFXIV resources and this was wonderful.
Thank you Wren!
great video! loved these skin so changing my hosue up in lavender beds! thank you
I love them too! I didnt bid on anything in Empy, but I think I'll keep some of them on my personal and FC in Mists! Thank you!

These exteriors right here are litty BANGERS no cap SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH

After the lottery result, seeing this is like applying salt to the wounds. Great video btw.

Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to see, I would have blindly gone for stone otherwise. brilliant video.
Stone is my favourite, so wouldnt have been a bad choice :P but they're all lovely lol Thanks for watching!
I really wish i could get the composites shape/style with the woods look/texturing
Can you use Riviera Wooden Doors with Highland Cottage Wall Wood?
Love the video and showcase
You sure can! All of these parts are completely mix-and-match-able with other parts from the Riviera, Oasis, Glade and Hingan sets!
Thank you :D ♥

how does the highland placard look like
What exterior walls are colorable?
Most of the Highland walls have parts that are dyable! I included footage of swapping between undyed, Snow White dye and soot black dye for each wall so you can see the parts that change!
What is the name of the trees you use by windows of the 1st house . I can’t find it or I’m over looking it.
Oh its the hanging bench…I see now O.o. Lol
Sure is, sorry for the delay! I storage dropped them by the wall so the bench is hidden!
Does the indoor balcony door work with any of these exterior balconies?
The balcony door and balcony for all mansions (any exterior) is completely non functional. The door doesnt open and furniture isnt placeable on it. it's just to look cute. The forge skin took a step in the right direction when they added a stair case to it. But thats as much progress as we've got :(
@@ellienet Thanks
Any chance you could do the chimneys too?
I definitely missed the chimneys! :( I have got some plans for future videos, but not in the next few days etc.
how do you get these if you are relocating?
If you're relocating you can just craft them (or buy off the MB) and put them on through the remodel exterior menu in the housing menu! They're all level 60 recipies, so not too bad!
@@ellienet time to get the SO to craft it... since i havent leveled my crafters at all xD
Are we limited to these permits?
If you aren't relocating, you will choose a permit to start, then you can freely change all the individual pieces.
@@Scarabswarm Couldnt have worded it better myself!
@@ellienet aww thanks. :)

Thank you so much for that door and window section. Saving me from almost putting on the OG ones I took off because they looked ugly.
