In 1979 Dad and I built a house on SE 12th St, off Del Prado. It was my parents primary home. My wife and I lived in Nevada. Mom passed 4 years ago @ 91 Dad 3 years ago @ 92. I sold it last Nov. We had many good years in Cape Coral and a lot of very good times. I miss my good friends still there after all these years. I worry about them.
Another beautiful video. I’m interested in the Naples area. I know you already did a video there. It would be great to see good/bad neighborhoods. Thank you.
My wife and I are looking to move to either Cape Coral, Sarasota, Fort Myers, or Estero. We leave in 2 weeks to visit to look for houses. Great video and very informative.
Major price point differences between all those. If you want a boat docked in your back yard it's tough to beat Cape Coral. If you are into beaches Sarasota is awesome, but pricey.
What a wonderful area to have all your dreams of paradise washed out by the true nature of severe weather risk. Keep promoting future ruin. You are doing it perfectly!
@gerardpully762 The vast majority of people in Cape Coral did not experience their dreams washed away by Ian. It's not a barrier island. Everything is being re-built better than it was. Older homes near the water took a beating, but those were built well before the current building codes went into place. Newer homes had barely a scratch.
Nice video... The key to Cape Coral investment is 1) Time to access Big water 2) SE Ft. Meyers Bridge access.... This is ONLY the SE Cape. Also the Cape "Downtown". Realtors are hyping the NE and NW... but is too far from access to Big water (Gulf of MX) because of Environmental/Reserve restricted access. This will NEVER change. The SE and SW still (and always will be) the regions of Cape Coral worth the investment and Future Price Appreciation.
One of the safest city in Florida and I think a city to raise a family We look at almost every city below the frost line and found Cape Coral number one to retire to, Its gives you a safe feeling and easy access to all the attractions of Fl.
Back in the late 80s my parents bought a plot of land in Cape Coral as an investment. Paid it off and held on to it until 2007 or whenever housing prices went through the roof. People in Florida were calling them to see if they wanted to sell the land but they said no; they were living in Tidewater VA. When the price was right, my dad flew down there to sell it for a nice chunk of change. I told him if you waited a few weeks you'll get double what they offer. He didn't believe me. Guess what I was right. Instead of $20K, it could have been $40K. At least we sold it before the forces of nature made it otherwise.
What a great asset you are to the RUclips channel. You informed us so well of each location and its main attraction. I see the local fruit and veg farmer markets of vital importance to all seeking homemade cooking. It's a real treat to have the opportunity to view such attractive real estate at this enormous scale amongst lush green vegetation throughout the landscape. I hope Google realises the importance of driving tours, drone tours and walking tours. These videos entice the traveler to discover new areas to explore. Please keep sending us many more sensational videos like this one. My only suggestion would be to use Smooth chillout beach music rather than the modern tecno vibes. I applause your sensational effort to an outstanding video!!
My wife and I just came back on Wednesday August 15, 2024. We were there for two weeks. Still beat-up! Cape Coral Yacht Club still not building. Pine Island bridges knot close to being finished.
Come tour the canals in my neighborhood. You can walk across them this time of year. It's a good time of year to clean out the shopping carts and tires. I'm sure you inform your Yankee clients of that before they retire, move here and buy their beautiful waterfront property.
@@Headbangingbull LOL! Ian did not turn the whole city into an ocean. Currently $200K+ for gulf access lots, $350k - $500k for direct access no bridges and river front lots are about $1m.
It depends what you are looking for, homes on a canal are pretty strong, Homes that need remodeling are a little high so they will definitely come down.
Aerial videos are pre hurricane Ian.... most of the stuff doesnt look like this after hurricane Ian what the heck yacht club area is no more, only beach recently reopened (end of 2023)

Ian was the first major hurricane to hit that area in over 100 years...

Really, when was there 12 years ago was told to stay away from this area too much drugs.

Drugs are still there
Love the style of your videos.

@rlad581 The Yacht Club is taking a long time because they created a completely new, and heavily enhanced design. It will be worth the wait.
Very beautiful
Two brothers played Cities Skyline before the internet era.
Good place to own a home and go for fishing everyday...😊

What a frigging nightmare
I am planning to move with the family. I have 2 kids. I am going tgis weekend. Do you reccomend to buy on the NW/NE area?

@timjesse8267 You must live in a really shitty part of the Cape
Soooo what are the ocean plots going for now?
What's an ocean plot? If you mean waterfront lot, gulf access $200,000 or more. Nothing you can afford.
@@busterbadass It was a joke because a hurricane turned that whole town into an ocean a year or two back. Also i think youre projecting

looks great , how much is average home price for sale in cape coral
@mintchyhouse Like everywhere it varies dramatically by what you want and where you want it. Median price is $385k
Do you see house prices here bottoming out or going up? Looking to move here sometime next year

How is city doing after the hurricane?
It's like it never even happened.
Wow! I keep hearing people saying the hurricane 🌀 would write off the city.

@gixxergermany Yes, but the new yacht club under construction is going to be much nicer. The rest of the city is back to normal.
Didn’t the storm knock out the “beach”
@Nb61777 It, did but it's back now. Everything knocked out by the storm is being rebuilt better than it was.
