Very good presentation !! Thanks.. So if I purchase a new home in the NW area, after the approximately 30K assessment fee, I’ll also have to pay an additional fee to a private contractor for refurbishing any digging that may have taken place within my property ?? Also, what happens to septic tank within the house ?? Do they remove it and take it ? Or does it simply stay on the property ?? Thanks again..
Thank you! You won’t have to pay for a contractor to fix anything the utility expansion project does to your property. You’ll just need to pay a contractor to physically hook your home’s plumbing into the central water and sewer network once it’s there. The septic tanks usually just stay in the ground but a contractor will retire them by filling them with something like concrete. You can remove it if you really want to but I imagine it would be more expensive.
Very well explained video. Thank you for it. The true is Cape Coral was a quiet nice city before is rapidly growing now. I just can say, people do your job; research and get very well informed before you moved here and help us to keep the city as it is 😉☺️
Thanks very much! We’re doing well! Storm surge is hitting some areas like Punta Gorda and the barrier islands with some flooding. Cape Coral seems to be in good shape.
Built our house in Cape Coral in 1979. Mr. Rosen the developer knew our family and our houses were built next to each other. SE 12th Street. This is West of Rosen Park. It has changed too much in too many ways. Sold in November 2023.
When you bring up the taxes you mention the mill rate and yes it is to high because that mill rate was based on cheaper homes in 70’s 80’s90’s today houses are selling in the millions yet you still get the same services should be looked at
1000 car washes and 1 Famous Footwear, basically Payless. No real clothing stores either, Kohl’s, Burlington, Ross and TJ Maxx and about 15 Goodwills. Driving into to Cape on Cape Coral bridge looks like Lebanon or North Korea. No treelined sidewalks to make walking and biking bearable except Kismet, North Del Prado and Veterans. No mans land. Put those wide sidewalks on Sahara Barbara and South Del Prado and on our Parkways
I’ve lived here for 7 years. Traffic is ridiculous, although I’ve got workarounds for now. I say let those with a well and septic tank keep them. Why be under he thumb of the city? Yeah, that’s what I thought. And yeah, right now-don’t go north of Pine Island.. A huge hassle. As for taxes, yeah. ANY NYer won’t blink twice at the taxes-they’re nothing. In short, way too many “urbanites” have come here. Eyeroll.
try living on the east coast,,lol.. then u will see traffic...also whe you buy on the east coast like Ft lauderdale you will pay 2.0 % of value so its still good over here in cape,,its still a bargain and the weather is great..
Cape Cuba it what they call it now !. My mom was the first resident born here , grandpa was one of the first sheriffs and owned the only cab company.. It was a great town years ago ,but is steadily declining..
For a place that has always been nothing other than a big blue-collar neighborhood with no urban planning, no cultural significance, no industry, no good commerce, where one has to drive to do anything... I do not know what could have ever been so "great" about it. That said, prior to communism, Havana was more architecturally, culturally, and economically impressive (and would have continued so) than any place in Florida - they saw a real decline.
I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good night life, it’s more land for development and future growth.❤️☀️
Why I dislike Cape Coral,, Rising Canals during Hurricanes, Water Rats that come out of those canals, also Huge lizards also live in those canals, there are also scorpions, Rattle snakes and huge spiders you will encounter, this place is a nightmare, stay away

Can’t argue with that! I definitely think they should lower the millage rate!

Cape Coma was built by outsiders for outsiders and is the epitome of urban sprawl. Why would you be surprised ?

Hot and no beaches, it's ugly and overcrowded.
Good, bad, or ugly, I love the Cape life ❤️
