Why leave Supertramp? Glory Hound🤑? Talent beyond compare, but a fame seeker for his name!! Reminds me of Mark Knopfler leaving Dire Straits. Humility. What happened to being part of something awesome used to be enough? Too much temptation for solo fame, or too much weakness to temptation 🤨
Roger departed not seeking limelight he had that with Supertramp after Davies put out famous last words obviously it was a good move since Davies put out the BROTHER WHERE YOU BOUND a disappointment for most Supertramp fans and Rodger put out IN THE EYE OF THE STORM that both Davies and Roger fans enjoyed. Don’t get me wrong I love Ricks music prior to Roger leaving
Roger Hodgson has given many interviews about why he left Supertramp after 14 years. He didn't want to miss out on seeing his children grow up. Touring is detrimental to family life. After his children became adults, he resumed touring, but this time around as a solo artist.
This is absolutely brilliant IMHO. Roger with a 3 man band. Love it!
