    Love my 270mm saw. Bought it specifically for cutting 200x100 Australian hardwood beams and it performs brilliantly. I also use it for cutting my 200x200 hardwood posts as it does it with just a front and back cut instead of 4 sides and finishing with a handsaw

    I’m too heavily invested in the 18v platform to make the jump to 40v, even IF the tools weren’t stupidly expensive in comparison; however, that 165mm badboy really is a sexy looking saw, even if the blade is on the WRONG side. 😆
    The removable edge is awesome. Hopefully us 18v users get an updated DHS680 with a few of the new features added, like track compatibility, blade guard lifter etc.

    Do the track compatible circular saws line up with the cut of Makita's plunge saws? Or to put it another way, does the splinter guard on the track have issues with one or the other.

    • @darceyhoward-scales8635
      @darceyhoward-scales8635 Год назад

      I would assume they would work with the Makita guide. I use my 270mm saw with my festool track, I had to adjust the base to the left and also add a washer behind the blade to get it out to the correct spot on the track. You can adjust base about 3-4mm, although then your gauge at the front of the base is out of line.

  • @manuh1294
    @manuh1294 Год назад

    Just got the 40V GSH01M1 a few days ago. Noticed that the positive stops are off when I set the base. Off by about 2-3 degrees or so. Wanted to ask, is this the same for you? Seems like the stop wobbles a bit, so it gets past the angle slightly.
