    I had heard stories about Elvis' generosity and kindness. He treated people with care and the way one would want to be treated.

      I think Elvis was mostly only generous because he wanted to feel good about himself and feel powerful and in control and special because he did some really messed up and disgusting stuff. He was a narcissist after all and they don’t do anything unless it has something for them in store.

    yes. he would have had the latest in electronic technology being a primo client of RCA. It is why he wasn't concerned w/ shooting out TV's. He could get whatever he needed from them.
    You know, I have become 100% comfortable with E's constant rotation of young women in his world. What else did he have?
    What other outlet did he have that gave him personal moments with the fairer sex. Long ago, in a 1962 audio interview he mentions how nice it is to have a woman near him to share companionship. He loved the softness & femininity of women.
    The guys in the MM were basically a team of yes men.....rough & tumble guys.
    He'd lost all hope for a fulfilled career of serious acting. He'd resigned himself that he'd never travel & tour Europe. He had those lousy publishing rules that constricted the catalogue of music he could use.
    He was a prisoner in his home.
    So, the only remaining freedom he had was to conquest women.
    It is very, very sad that this highly intelligent, bright, inquisitive, uber talented superstar's life was so terribly stunted and confined. This was a man with tons of creativity and talent needing an outlet and was not permitted to grow. It eventually led to his self destruction. The betrayal of the West boys and Dave Hebler would send him into unrecoverable despair.
    My heart breaks for him.

      Yes and the betrayal of his ex wife was certainly so tough to overcome , what did Elvis really discover at the time of his divorce ? What did he really have to deal with his ex wife during the following years ?

      ...from what you wrote, I stayed withe part of the betrayal of the guys he trusted the most. That was a beyrayal, a cold knife on his back. Probably hus dad was right to fired them at the end, they proved incapable of getting a real job for their needs and wriring the book gave them millions once more off of Elvis. In some interviews these guy talk about how much they loved Elvis, it is hypocritical.

    • @lindaf4369
      @lindaf4369 9 месяцев назад

      @@HappyFjord-jw9em I agree it is hypocritical and those jerks lived off of Elvis who was very generous to them for years and they turned on him like a pack of dogs. It truly wasn't any of their business what he was or wasn't doing. Elvis was a grown man and they should have just said thank you and hopefully we'll see you later. But of course they put the pressure on Elvis bc they knew how private he was and that his reputation meant a lot to him so they went for the jugular and after he passed it's like well we were just trying to help him and he was trying to his life straightened out and those jokers couldn't accept it. jmo

    • @1kaffelover
      @1kaffelover Год назад +3

      She did say that Linda was off to Boston with one of the dogs that was ill for treatment. 🤔
      Of course that wasn’t a three month trip, but it😮 seems like Elvis shuffled women about to fit HIS preference in
      who he wanted with him at that specific time, in my humble opinion, I believe he was very lonesome, and he loved talking with different people, as it was quite difficult for him to meet real down to earth people so when he found someone
      he thought he would like to be with, he went for it. The story she tells about Elvis reminding her if she had called her mother was reminiscent of stories I’ve read of Elvis, calling his mom when he was young and on the road. It was very sweet when she described Elvis talking to her mother. Her mother sounds like she was very much like Elvis’ mother would be …concerned about talking too long on the phone, and being expensive, that was a darling story…❤

      Elvis really had some lovely ladies that he encountered. I found JoCathy such a vivacious person, during her life.
      Unfortunately she had a horrible accident, someone ran into her car and she was in a wheelchair not sure of her status today.
      I just googled her name and a bunch of pictures came up…she has aged beautifully!
      She’s connected with other Elvis fans.
      She did marry, and had two children.
      She states that she is divorced now.
      She’s very involved with her family and she was involved with past girlfriends of Elvis’
      before Priscilla.
      The Elvis community is a very loving community. I am saddened though because so many people are against Priscilla. You always thought she was so lucky to have Elvis, but she wasn’t treated well at times, but everyone has their foibles. She had hers. Elvis had his. I’ve got mine!
      You just have to remember to live your life the best you can and be kind.
      So sad with what happened to Benjamin Lisa Marie’s son and then for Lisa Marie to pass so young.
      People should let Riley, Priscilla, and Harper and Finley come together. They have suffered great losses well anyway I am off my soapbox Martha thank you for your nice comment.

      Linda may have been having her own fling w/ David Briggs, E. P keyboard player, during this 3-4 no in 75, tho claims didn't till left Elvis, in Nov 76, when Elvis met Ginger .

      Wow are you saying that Linda Thompson was having an affair with Elvis Presley’s keyboard player while she was still dating Elvis? Everyone always speaks very highly of her, and how wonderful she was with Elvis but I can imagine she probably thought Elvis was going to marry her during the first couple years and start a family, but that didn’t happen between Elvis and Linda. I don’t understand why when you profess to love someone you then cheat on them? Or you cheat with someone to hurt them back which I think was what Priscilla did to Elvis, sadly…
      I don’t know who knows what the truth is anymore there’s so many stories and I wasn’t there, I wasn’t a witness to their lives…😱

    This was so very interesting. Very informative. She seemed like a really nice girl. Elvis was nothing but a gentlemen with her and I was impressed with Elvis talking with her mother on the phone for a lengthly period of time. Showed me how down to earth this man was and probably brought back memories with his mother. What “star” would give this mother the time of day? Only is an indication what kind of a person was - a kind and considerate man. 💖💖💖❣️❣️❣️💞💞💞💞🌹🌹🌹🩷🩷
