I've toured GRACELAND. From the moment I walked up the steps, out front..I couldn't stop crying. Feeling completely overwhelmed and sensing Elvis' presence. It was the most profound experience of my life.

My daughter Alyssa was born July 30 1992. I put her in her swing and she would cry she did not like that swing. So every single time I put her in it and turned on the radio, they were playing Elvis music. She stopped crying every time. And her love for Elvis began.

I remember it being very sureal. We travelled from Australia, pretty much 30+ hours in a plane, landed in LA, then to Memphis. Arriving early hours of the morning, stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel I think it was, it began to rain, I was reminded of the song " Walking in Memphis". But, what an experience, the whole trip was fabulous, but Graceland never leaves you, ever.

That’s exactly how I felt when I first visited in 1985, it wasn’t that I felt unwelcome, but it felt as though I was visiting somebody’s house who was either away or just in a different room. It was a very weird feeling. Maybe I felt that way because at the time Elvis‘s aunt Delta was still living in the home. And yes it still feels like a home, not a museum or a tourist attraction. That is the charm of Graceland…
I to was there in 1985 and I remember that when we went out back I looked at the door and I seen what looked like Elvis looking out the door. It was a funny feeling. You felt him there.
Absolutely. Feels if he's there and he's coming walk up to you and say "so you like my house"

I was young when Elvis passed away, and didn’t quite understand the significance. Later my cousin introduced me to his movies. After watching almost all of his movies, I cried for the loss of such a talented man. When my children were born, I sang each of them an Elvis song as their lullaby. They are all Elvis fans now as well. So his beautiful voice and entertaining movies are living on in new generations.
I found Elvis thru the song I was the one. And 1993 I will one day make my trip to graceland. And thank you Presley family for all u do for us fans and all then men and women who take part in it .. And thank u Elvis for being so Amazing. ❤❤❤❤

Opening Graceland to the fans is the best gift they could be given, You would think Elvis would approve, his fans were everything to him, Keeping upstairs private was a great decision, it's still Lisa's house to stay in whenever she wants.
Been to Graclands 2 times and it's brilliant to be there and feel like your so close to the greatest singer ever to have lived Elvis fan from Newcastle England since 1958 to present day and will be forever after looking forward to the movie best wishes to

Drove to Graceland on our road trip from Flagstaff Arizona to Pennsylvania with my two sons 20 and 15. December 2020. American history and Elvis artifacts seem to live and breath in this home and makes it America’s #1 home in the United States to see. It’s a Bucket list item I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to do and got to do it with two loves of my life. I was so proud and so happy I did it and I recommend for all fans of Elvis to make the trip to do this.
Thank goodness America still has Graceland. Love it!!! My love for Elvis will forever continue as well. The G.O.A.T.

Elvis passed a few years before I was born and im a huge Elvis fan. I'm from Australia and I visited Graceland in 2009. I felt the magic and felt Elvis's spirit just looking at the Graceland mansion from the moment I got to the gates of Graceland. Can't wait to return one day. If anyone ever has the chance you must go!

I visited Graceland many years ago. Loved it. It was like getting to know Elvis from a different perspective.
I visited Graceland in 1985. Never forgotten how amazing it was!! Hope to go back again!

I can’t think of another celebrity who has their home open to the public. It’s a very unique experience.

Been there 3 times. Last time was 2016 Elvis week in august . Stayed at heartbreak hotel . Guest house was being built
On behalf of all the elvis fans just wanted to say thank you to all at Graceland for the wonderful way that you have kept Graceland going and all of the hard work that it has taken to get it where it is today it couldn’t have been easy for Pricilla to make that decision but she wanted to keep the memory of elvis alive for the fans and also for her daughter and their children and grandchildren and for future generations to come to see what a great entertainer but let’s not forget that he was also a human being and a father and Graceland was his very special place where he could be himself and have his private time his left his legacy and his music
I can tell you from experience that his spirit still in the Sun studio as well. When I walked through the door I almost fell over. It was like walking into a wall of energy. I spent part of the time like flat on the floor well the tour guide was telling us about the history of sound. For the rest of my vacation in Memphis I had a hard time getting out of bed. When I got back to Boston I went for an acupuncture treatment. The practitioner told me that my spirit was out of my body. And I told her I know exactly when it happened. It was that walk that step into sound studio.
I’ve not got to visit Graceland but I hope to one day. Thanks Pricilla for keeping Graceland for the fans to get to see Elvis home. Elvis will always be remembered.

I grew up listening to Elvis because of my brother and as I got older I realized I was born on Elvis’s birthday I’m so happy his wife saved Graceland
What a great story at Graceland. I never heard this story and am glad I got to hear it now. I love Elvis and would like to go to Graceland someday. I think he would have updated it and wonder what changes he would make to it if he were still alive today?

My mother and I are handicapped and it would be impossible for us to travel and tour. I wonder if there is a virtual tour available for those who so want to be part of the experience but are physically unable.

Yes I agree. You walk into that home and you can sence Elvis like he is still there for sure. When I went in 92 you could smell bacon. It felt like someone just stepped out. We owe them a big thank you for saving it .

There will never be another Elvis... sure would be nice to see it as it was when Elvis last saw it in red.
About the closest you can get to picturing the red color scheme today is to go during the Christmas season, when they change the drapes to red. It certainly changes the look of the downstairs.
Yes that's right. Linda Thompson said when she was there Elvis changed the drapes/curtains to red. So it's not the same as Elvis left it... 🤔

Graceland is Lisa and her kids legacy . The only thing she has on earth of her Dad . His beloved home . I hope some day to see Graceland..
