Full Flight: American Eagle E175 New York-LaGuardia to Asheville (LGA-AVL)

- Hey guys! In this full flight video I continue on my second leg down to Asheville, North Carolina from LaGuardia aboard an American Eagle E175, operated by Republic Airways. Personally, I feel that every time I fly Republic, no matter which airline they're flying for, I always have a great experience. The LGA-AVL route was a very new flight that was just recently announced and so this video was shot just a couple flights into its tenure. It is, at least for now, a Sunday-only service. First off, I love how the flight departed from the New Terminal B gates @ LGA...giving me a chance to explore the new terminal (and shoot a walkthrough vid :D). Compared to the other terminals and concourses around LaGuardia, it is 100x better and I can't wait for the whole airport to be completed. The flight itself was as good as you're gonna get for a regional flight, and I hope I fully expressed my opinions in the video. Landing in Asheville was awesome getting to see the Smoky Mountains from the air on approach. I got to spend a fair amount of time in the Smokies over the summer for musical purposes and I enjoyed every minute of it. This area would definitely be recommended by me if you love the outdoors and all the activities that go along with it. And because I spent so much time here over the summer, I decided to include the season finale of the Brevard Music Center Orchestra playing Gustav Mahler's "Resurrection" Symphony #2 for the closing montage music. Hope you guys enjoy!

I flew to Asheville, NC from Newark, NJ on Allegiant. I agree that the approach is so fun and cool to watch. It can be a bit turbulent because your flying between mountains, but that is what makes flying into Asheville an adventure.
Totally agree! Love the approach into AVL
What a beautiful finale, thanks!
I love that after the "hell ya!", he went straight back to calm😂. Keep it up, man!!
Always nice to see clips of the locale in your videos. And the music 🎵 wonderful! 👍
Glad you like it and thanks for watching!
Very nice, loved the LGA apron edit.
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Hi Jazzguy
Another very nice and enjoyable video! :)
Looks like you had a great flight with AA, the E170 & E190 are my favorite regional jets, although I still need to fly an A220.
Good to see they are finally renovating LGA, that place can really be a dump!
Good to see AA ‘stole’ Delta’s Biscoff cookies, those are yummy :)
Brendan
Love it!
AVL has had a huge increase in passenger traffic in recent years. It is true that the terminal is now too small. Fortunately, the city of AVL does have a new plan for a far larger terminal with many more gates. I don't know when it will be built.
Hi John. The project is estimated to be completed in about 3 to 5 years.
Awesome video man liked
Haven’t been to AVL since the 1980s but it doesn’t seem to have changed much. I love the approach. You’re thinking where is there enough flat ground to put an airport? And then you see the runway was built on landfill.
Lmao Asheville has changed so much the since
The 80s brother. The airport has changed too, huge new parking lot
@Chriss Jazz i love how breeze and allegiant both have nonstop flights. next year i might fly allegiant from pie or srq to avl
Do u have any videos flying to or from norfolk, va?
Nice video! What’s the nearest international airport to get to Gatlinburg TN? I’m going to Gatlinburg next spring.
Probably Knoxville, TN would be your best bet...it's located S of the city and closer to Gatlinburg. And thank you!
McGhee Tyson airport in Knoxville.
You should fly to Grand Rapids MI on American or delta sometimes.
The runway you landed on was the temporary runway which was constructed so the airport could rebuild the runway that you passed when you taxied. Looked like the asphalt one was getting new asphalt and should be completed by the end of the year. Just like FLL but it has 2 runways and the asphalt one is closed it will reopen on the 30th of the month and it is being turned into concrete and being upgraded just like the south runway but both are permanent runways.
Ah thanks a lot for the info!
thejazzguy13 Aviation I honesty looked it up on Wikipedia
Interesting that they only put the designator on the flight board and didn't spell out Asheville.
