I remember this case well. I’ve read a bit about him too. I was at Edinburgh high court when he was on trial there. He was in a few cells along from us “normal” cons but we never seen him or heard him. We only knew he was there that day cuz the screws told us. They were very clearly disgusted by him and the fact they had to deal with him. Obviously we all hoped they would make a mistake and let one of us near him. They didn’t. I wish they did though. The reason the cops didn’t batter the snot out him is maybe coz of the reason I’m about to give. He was said to be very litigious. As you yourself pretty much said. He was supposedly Always threatening to sue the screws and shouting that he knew the rules and his rights blah blah blah. You know the type o person I mean Kris. One o those cons that has no balls whatsoever but tells himself he’s better than the other cons and thinks himself more intelligent and more devious than other cons and the screws and is always making trouble with the screws and being a heavy duty door scratcher in general. It may sound weird to a normal person that’s never done time watching this that a guy that literally chopped someone up in such a cold and callous way would be the one that needed protection in prison since he was clearly an extremely violent person but people like this are absolute shite bags. Cowardly low lifes that would take a back seat to other cons every single time. Unless it was someone more timid than they are. When I analyse this case, it's like I'm actually THERE watching the whole thing. THAT'S where the nightmares come from. What he went through was Silence of the Lambs material. Thanks for the support. @@TinPailTV Graham is he served 9 years but is back in doing a 4 stretch, Ian was in Addiewell then castle huntly. Neil was in for short term sentences. I was just curious cheers reply.

Ian absconded from huntly when on licence the daft fuck and got more added on his sentence. He's married now with kids trying stay away from shite in East Kilbride. Graham was done for a murder in salcoats was a new year stabbing was quite a high profile case at time, dont have much to do with him now if honest and Neil is back in salcoats also.
I've never heard of that case but I did find a strange disappearance of a guy in Dublin who looked like Barry Wallace. And this was after Barry Wallace was killed. I can't find anything placing Beggs in the area but it's similar circumstances (young guy disappearing on a Christmas night out and hasn't been heard of since). His name was Trevor Deely I think (Trevor something). Are you from Dublin? Do you think Beggs is connected to Edward Foster?
@TinPailTV Trevor deelys case seems similar but beggs was in custody at the time. Edward foster went Missing exactly 3 months before Barry Wallace. Beggs ŵas also working in milton keynes de montfort university at the time too so the fastest way there from Belfast where he frequented to Milton Keynes would have been via dublin port not back on the ferry from Belfast to Troon. He was well traveled back and forth. 17 dna unidentified blood samples were found in his flat. He had a type young straight men it seems. Edward Foster was last seen at dublin port on the way back to London where he never arrived. 5th september 1999. He was 20 years old. Never established if he got.on the ferry but could have taken a lift.

@TinPailTV I've done some research and the dates for Trevor deely he was in Amsterdam after he had handed himself into police then and then he was fighting extradition to Scotland. No idea if he would of had a chance to get to Ireland and back to Amsterdam if he wasn't in full custody over there. My interest is because Edward was my brother and I'd only found out about Beggs literally yesterday.

For example, if someone involved in gang life or drugs gets assaulted, the cops would say 'Well so and so has done this type of thing before so let's go speak to him!' Beggs had previous for assaulting men for his own gratification. So if his own co-workers suspected him of being behind this boy's disappearance, it makes me wonder if they picked up on something.

Was on a Christmas Night out round about 1997 and had a few too many so made my way around Argyle St etc looking for a Taxi. Got to down near St Enochs and a guy walked past said something about either getting a bus or he had a flat if I was struggling to get home. I’ve never sobered up as fast in my life I wasn’t scared of him but I sure as hell wasn’t comfortable with what he said. At first I thought it was one of the lads from work that use to deliver stuff to our office but I was site based so didn’t spend much time in the office. Something spooked me I made my way over to the other side of the water and I knew there was a phone box where the road split going to Cathcart and to Polmadie I knew it was dodgy making way through Gorvals just figured if I made the phone box called a taxi and just stayed in it I’d be ok. And that was what happened. It was only 2 years later I heard about that William Beggs and The limbs murder it made me think f**king hell was that maybe him? I know he lived in Kilmarnock but did it mention anything in the book Kris about him ever being in Glasgow? I read he worked in Wdinburgh for a while and that’s a healthy commute every day. Funny how your senses can kick in when you need them might have been nothing I’ll never know.
Yes! He used to visit gay bars in Glasgow. He took a man back to his house in Kilmarnock and attacked the man while he slept. The man woke up to find Beggs slashing his legs. The guy fought him off and jumped right through a glass window, landing on the street below. Beggs was given 5 years in prison for that attack. He got out and murdered that poor boy in Kilmarnock after that. Can you remember anything about the man you saw---his accent (did he sound local?), hair colour, build, age?

It was 1997 and we had been at a works do being a bit younger and been drinking earlier in the day I ended up dropping a pint in the pub and getting asked to leave would have been about midnight 12:30 1am at a push tried to get a cab up Hope St then made my way down Argyle St maybe in the Hope a Bus would still be on as they had the night service back then I was down near St Enochs looking for a taxi or seeing if any buses were still running when I met this guy. Beggs is from Northern Ireland and I’d have known that accent it was more Scottish but Beggs also lived in Scotland and England for years so maybe it was diluted. If he had been inside for 5 years for trying to kill a guy there’s a good chance In 97 he was inside. It was enough to make me get in my toes there and then and when I heard about Beggs in 99 it really made me think.

@@TinPailTV Graham is he served 9 years but is back in doing a 4 stretch, Ian was in Addiewell then castle huntly. Neil was in for short term sentences. I was just curious cheers reply.

@@TinPailTV we were all born in Salcoats but moved up to Cumbernauld when really young so you could say the nauld. Ian absconded from huntly when on licence the daft fuck and got more added on his sentence. He's married now with kids trying stay away from shite in East Kilbride. Graham was done for a murder in salcoats was a new year stabbing was quite a high profile case at time, dont have much to do with him now if honest and Neil is back in salcoats also.

Any thoughts he could have been involved in the disappearance of edward Foster from dublin Port september 1999.
I've never heard of that case but I did find a strange disappearance of a guy in Dublin who looked like Barry Wallace. And this was after Barry Wallace was killed. I can't find anything placing Beggs in the area but it's similar circumstances (young guy disappearing on a Christmas night out and hasn't been heard of since). His name was Trevor Deely I think (Trevor something).

@TinPailTV Trevor deelys case seems similar but beggs was in custody at the time. Edward foster went Missing exactly 3 months before Barry Wallace. Beggs ŵas also working in milton keynes de montfort university at the time too so the fastest way there from Belfast where he frequented to Milton Keynes would have been via dublin port not back on the ferry from Belfast to Troon. He was well traveled back and forth. 17 dna unidentified blood samples were found in his flat. He had a type young straight men it seems. Edward Foster was last seen at dublin port on the way back to London where he never arrived. 5th september 1999. He was 20 years old. Never established if he got.on the ferry but could have taken a lift.

@TinPailTV I've done some research and the dates for Trevor deely he was in Amsterdam after he had handed himself into police then and then he was fighting extradition to Scotland. No idea if he would of had a chance to get to Ireland and back to Amsterdam if he wasn't in full custody over there. My interest is because Edward was my brother and I'd only found out about Beggs literally yesterday.

Letting him sign himself off protection isn’t fair on the other cons. They aren’t giving them much of a choice. They have to do something to him. It’s forcing the other cons in to a position where they are pretty much obligated to hurt him. In that respect it’s unfair on those cons.

@@Eggyfart83 It would be interesting to find out why they had these suspicions about him. My feelings is that people know what you're all about if they spend enough time around you. For example, if someone involved in gang life or drugs gets assaulted, the cops would say 'Well so and so has done this type of thing before so let's go speak to him!' Beggs had previous for assaulting men for his own gratification. So if his own co-workers suspected him of being behind this boy's disappearance, it makes me wonder if they picked up on something.

This case is very important to me. It actually gave me nightmares mate. The fact this scumbag is eligible for parole really bothers me. What he done to Barry is demonic and sick as fuck. Beggs is an apex predator. I have always wondered how he got Barry back to his flat. Some people say he musta accepted a lift but I'm not sure. Was on a Christmas Night out round about 1997 and had a few too many so made my way around Argyle St etc looking for a Taxi. Something spooked me I made my way over to the other side of the water and I knew there was a phone box where the road split going to Cathcart and to Polmadie I knew it was dodgy making way through Gorvals just figured if I made the phone box called a taxi and just stayed in it I’d be ok. And that was what happened. It was only 2 years later I heard about that William Beggs and The limbs murder it made me think f**king hell was that maybe him? I know he lived in Kilmarnock but did it mention anything in the book Kris about him ever being in Glasgow? I read he worked in Wdinburgh for a while and that’s a healthy commute every day. Funny how your senses can kick in when you need them might have been nothing I’ll never know.

He used to visit gay bars in Glasgow. He took a man back to his house in Kilmarnock and attacked the man while he slept. The man woke up to find Beggs slashing his legs. The guy fought him off and jumped right through a glass window, landing on the street below. Beggs was given 5 years in prison for that attack. He got out and murdered that poor boy in Kilmarnock after that.

It was 1997 and we had been at a works do being a bit younger and been drinking earlier in the day I ended up dropping a pint in the pub and getting asked to leave would have been about midnight 12:30 1am at a push tried to get a cab up Hope St then made my way down Argyle St maybe in the Hope a Bus would still be on as they had the night service back then I was down near St Enochs looking for a taxi or seeing if any buses were still running when I met this guy. Like I say at first I was sure it was one of our delivery guys he asked where I was going and I knew he lived near me but it was when he mentioned or what I thought was he had a place if I was stuck or he was getting the bus or something it just alarmed me. Beggs is from Northern Ireland and I’d have known that accent it was more Scottish but Beggs also lived in Scotland and England for years so maybe it was diluted. If he had been inside for 5 years for trying to kill a guy there’s a good chance In 97 he was inside. It was enough to make me get in my toes there and then and when I heard about Beggs in 99 it really made me think.

After you messaged, I looked into what you said. Beggs was FREE in 1997. He was sentenced to 5 years in 1991 and was released in 1995. So it is possible that he was the man you seen. Can you remember what the man you saw looked like? Did he bear a resemblance to Beggs? What do you think it was about what he said that alarmed you? I'd love to get one of the detectives in the case on my channel. Beggs qualifies to apply for parole now and it would be good to ensure he never gets it.

He was never in my space or confrontational and the conversation was over in seconds he mentioned something about taxis and buses and he said something about he had a place and that’s what spooked me, as it was a very strange thing to say his accent sounded Scottish not Irish. It was on Stockwell St and it made me decide to walk across the bridge into the Gorbals which I had no intention of doing before. He didn’t follow me he walked away towards the Saltmarket I think I remember thinking if he follows me he’s going in the Clyde. Fast forward 2 years and that poor kid he murdered in Kilmarnock was similar a works night out too much to drink I think he manage to convince that guy in a taxi rank to share a cab with him. Makes you think where was he fucking prowling about back then.

I have decided to try and contact one of the detectives on that case and see if he will speak to me. Beggs qualifies for parole and it would be good to raise awareness as it was over 20 years ago and there will be people who have never heard of that case or how much of an absolute maniac this man is.
