Great to see the basic elementary, but crucial skills of seamanship and Naval traditions being taught and practiced still. This type of training is what has always produced the world class Sailors of the Royal Navy. Cheers.👍
Been there done that, but I did not do the bunting bit, that use to be the job of the Radio Operator (Tactical). Just remember boys and girls, when taking turns on a bollard or winch, keep your pinkies well out of the way from the round bits.
Things appear to have moved on a lot since I retired from teaching the Comms part of their training in HMS Collingwood. I wonder if all the training is now being carried out in HMS Raleigh? Good to see a familiar face with POSEA Cameron Evans 🙂
Am I missing something here . Able rates but still under training. In my day you joined the fleet gained experience and completed task books to become an able rate. The navy appears to be going down hill since I was in the mob
The U.S. Navy divides signaling and seaman ship into separate bos'ns mate and signaling. The video doesn't cover a tenth of what these people do. Walk aboard any ship and if seamen are doing their job right then the rest of the ship is probably in good shape also.
Have some cool stuff, but we need some more ships otherwise these guys are training for nowt. Do a video on what the forces are doing to try to make the public aware we are losing our forces and need more support to get the goverment to build our once great nations forces.
The title of this videos a mouthful
What are you really trying to say? Spit it out.
It's a bit too much to swallow
Whoever came up with the title well played 👏
Oh it just keeps giving

This ias where people become the future of the Royal Navy! Very cool!
Rally interesting look behind the scenes - thank you
I laughed at this title, because I'm a mental toddler.
a lot of part two training that we did in the 1970/80 in the ops branch and the RO(T) did the flashing lights/flags

Their training looks quite a mouthful , its tough work pulling off a capstan.
I remember it being a side entry branch when I was in

That's a lot to swallow.
I went to school with a few seamen specialists
Beautiful title hahahaha
In the commercial sector this would be done with three people. The surface fleet is overmanned and undertrained.
Hem hew arms on both sides of sewing machine then your hands flat on fabric each side of. Push and pull. Though.
Shame they only get paid 16k a year . Less than a maccies worker full time
When finished, they're far more employable, though.
The food is a lot better than at McDonald's!
You know what you did with that thumbnail and title 😂

well, you know the joke... 😏
Seaman specialists often operate in the rear. The jokes write themselves.
Under the Army.
Omg some comments are so infantile but hilarious 😂
Creme de la creme
Britain doesn't rule the waves😂
All that training just to spend weeks cleaning the flats
They all leave training and then don’t do their job unless they in operations of war, they are painting and scrubbing out
