Thank you so much. I looked up the new, well they weren’t new they were just rebuilt, clusters and they’re between $200 and $400. Thank you for the step-by-step. Your other video was great. But it was nice to see it again to build my confidence and to see it up close. I plan on watching both of these videos over and over and over. 😂😂😂
Great video just cranked my truck and no gauges. First time having this problem but I can see how it can happen with the vibration. I'll take mine apart and try fixing like you said nothing to loose it don't work.
You could of used those LED's. Just not the plastic, Bend the wires from the LED's and solder them to the plates on the motherboard and they'd have worked for you. You just can't re-use the grey plastic covers is all.
Instead of taking the gauge cluster to the mechanic, take it to a computer repair shop. Most of them are capable of doing the soldering and have the tools to do it.
So I had three options. Buy a “rebuilt” cluster for $250. Send mine off for repair $99.00. Or spend 30 minutes remembering how to solder. With the help of this video I just saved a lot of money. Thank you.
@@HOODS dang bro aloe Vera if nothing else man that shoot sucks makes every task 20x harder. I know it's not funny lol but my dumbass did the same thing a muffler on a mower I was going to redirect the flow burnt the tar out my palm lol only been running a couple of minutes just didn't think lmao

The cracked solders are very common on newer vehicles. I've fixed several clusters on different vehicles.

What exactly was the issue?
I've replaced old type gauges in dash clusters
What did you replace them with?
@@IvyRosethebus in some Parts houses you can buy the gauges separately
Hows the 🖐 doing?
Still doing alright waiting for it to peel or something not sure if it's going to.
