Sweet! You rock! Great timing on this video too! I was just debating on what to do about my panel. I found them new and used, I found the repair ads . . . then I saw this post. There is no doubt I can fix this myself. Until you post the second video, users can google "how to fix crack circuit board" to learn the second part! Thank you!
I appreciate this Video, it pointed me in the right direction, ready to try my hand at soldering I unscrewed two Phillips head screws, and tried to disconnect the cluster so that I could remove it, then I thought to try turning on the Engine, just to see if the rpms would work, it did, I"m ready for a State Inspection. Good Video,
I did this repair, now almost 3 months ago. The cluster has not done the "crazy Ivan" thing since. I don't know about everyone else here but my circuit board was made in Mexico and the solder flux they used was terrible, stunk bad and interfered with resoldering. I cleaned it with "brake clean" spray and small wire brush. That got most of it. But on some solder points I had turn the board upside down, heat the solder to melt then tap the board against my work bench to remove that solder. Then add fresh - good solder. Seriously -- this works. Thanks Carsandtrucks33.
Would know how to diagnose the Brakes Press, as the Motor still go when the truck is stop and you foot is on the brake- hydraulic brakes 1999 DT466 4900. I had to Unplug the relay to stop it.
It's supposed to do that. It provides brake assist via a pump since there is no vacuum assist from the engine. As long as the pump is running only when your foot is on the brake, it's working fine.
Hi I have a 1994 4700 serie. The cluster is quite same as on this video. Everything on it is working fine except the engine temperature meter. Any idea Why ? Is it a fuse problem ?
can anyone chime in on this? vehicle is a 1992 international, parking brake light doesn't work. oil/water light doesn't work, both bulbs have power to circuit board but may not grounding, does anyone have a pinout of the back of the cluster so i can check the ground? customer is also complaining that lights will blink with the turn signals.
May I suggest you next learn how to edit a video and/or shoot good video. Makes me dizzy watching the instability of the video as you randomly move the camera. Get to the point, stop repeating yourself, identify the problem, show how to fix it.
There was a little of what you're complaining about, but I fixed my 4700 dash problem because of this video. What counts? Learning something or pleasing some would-be editor?
Very good timing.
I soldered all the points.
It works smooth and perfect.
Thank you for your post.

I am dealing with the same problem. Now I know I am not the only one.
