Love the Video thanks for the work !!! Do you think you could place a graph in the video itself that we can Freeze and look for? Also I am running Stock Turbo, Custom Tune, Catless Down Pipe, Intake, I live in the Caribbean where it is obviously hot. With that Setup and atmospherics I KNOW I can run OEM but what aftermarkets could I buy to run a cooler plug? Thanks again ! Edit 1: Outro Beat box is Old School Dope. Even pictured your hands in front of your mouth for the Deeper bass hit ))
Just a heads-up; the gen 2 Champion plug is still being sold under the part name “OE245”. I’ve had much better luck with these plugs than with the 96206. Less misfires at idle and much smoother startups on E50.
Thank you for your videos. They are very informative. I'm planning to do my first spark plug change in my 2021 BMW X3 M40i and I'm stuck on which plugs to purchase. I want to use NGK but I'm not sure which part number to actually purchase that is relative to my car. I know it's a B58B30O1 based on another video you did. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you for all the great content and I’m definitely love the dry humor, but I have a question why I go to FCP euro they list this as one of the possibilities have you seen or heard anything about this spark plug BMW SILZKBR8D8S Spark Plug - NGK 97506
Hey kevin im looking to get TU pump for my gen 1, i found a good deal on one but it came off from a 2021 mini cooper JCW, believe they got the B46 motor or B48, would it work on my gen 1 b58 and just be the same as if I were to get one off a supra or M340i
Yo kern, do you know how much power the manual B58 transmission and clutch can handle? I have a manual M240i F22 stage 2 tuned with 450hp. I want to stage 2+ it, but I don’t know if this much power will damage the clutch or gearbox. Thank you!
I second this, also have a manual M240i F22, and wondering what the max power stock clutch holds and any recommendations for aftermarket clutch and the limits
Once you go stage 2+ your clutch will start slipping a little over 500wtq You’ll get a drivetrain malfunction Spec stage 3+ will do its work while still feeling oem
@@loca4159 spec stage 3+ & remove the clutch delay valve when you get it installed if you end up upgrading the clutch. Some people use 550i clutch but I would recommend going with the spec clutch stage 3+ well worth it
If you have a stock engine, I'd recommend the stock coil pack, going to Stage 1, I'd recommend the stock coil pack, stage 2 and up to E-50, I'd recommend the stock coil pack, now when you go bigger turbo and push lots of boost, I'd recommend the stock coil pack. 99% of the time OEM outperforms 100% of the aftermarket brands. Joking aside, very rarely will aftermarket coil packs outperform OEM, and it's even less rare that a random person will need the extra performance from an aftermarket brand, not to mention the longevity of aftermarket coil packs is generally horrible compared to OEM.
Champion 9425 RERX4ZWYPB-1 Iridium Spark Plug I found these plugs for the gen 2 b58 and it says their compatible with 2021 m340i xdrive. Are you familiar with these plugs. Looks like their one letter difference in comparison to the part number you listed by champion
No you cannot. The connector is a longer, traditional style, instead of the shorter cup style. Using these on a TU will cause damage to the ignition coil, as it does not have a long enough spring to accommodate a traditional spark plug connector.

i stare back at your opening
How did you keep a straight face 😂
Commitment to the bit 10/10 bravo sir, bravo
Thank you for this very detailed and informative video on your spark plug recommendations. I may have to go back to it for future reference.
1,000,000,000 opinions on this topic. My tuner suggested stock gap and its served me well
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND: the stock plugs for the stage 2+😂
Dude.. didn't you watch the video? You need to watch it again... he recomended the STOCK plugs for Stage 2+, not the stock plugs... Sheesh... :D :D :D

It's a Gen 2 so get Gen 2 plugs. 96206
@@kern417 thank you man! Life saver!
Just installed the 96206 plugs in and the car runs beautifully! Thanks again for helping me out!

What about for s58
5:50 - Do you mean NGK 94206? 96206 is for S58 right?
That stare gets me everytime 💀
5:48 @kern417 typo. Should say gen 2.
Hi Kern, I have a question please what is the difference between 94201 & 95248? I have ST2 on my gen2 340i from France, thank you for your help ;-)

it the part number matches then it's the right pump. mine came from a b48TU too.

How often do you change plugs stage 2?
Yeah but, I run a massive turbo on “E40”. So what plugs should I run then…

Which plugs are the 2021 m340i? I keep getting confused on gen 1 and gen 2 b58
Gen 2
Would 94201 work with Gen 2
For gen2 is 95248
dawg 😂😂😂 hilarious video
Did you stare at us in the beginning because the difference b/w each recommendation was absolutely minimal?! 😭😭
such a troll😂 love it
Can you use gen1 b58 spark plugs on a TU. I accidentally bought gen1
