Red Sox has to be the center fielder missing the ball for the inside the park grand slam
Not an error
@@redsoxdigesthe didn’t even try to go get the ball.
Horrible effort
@@elvisac4425 I was at the game
@@redsoxdigest was does that mean? Doesn’t change the fact he made a horrible effort by not getting the ball after it flew over him like an idiot
@@elvisac4425 your right he did not make an effort they were booing him
I know this was a few years ago but an error I always think of is when Marcel Ozuna scaled the wall only for the ball to drop a few feet in front of him. It was hilariously awful.
That play still haunts me when I think of errors… not a proud moment to be a cards fan
@@AlexJW224 Especially since he is or was a gold glove outfielder. It makes you laugh and cringe every time you see it.
I will forever think of when the Pirates forget you could step on first for a force out and instead got stuck in a rundown between first and the plate, allowing the run to score with two outs.
@@OldBenKenobi2318 When a player of that calibre screws up you can at least take solace in knowing that it was a legitimate mistake. Compare that to, let's say, most of the Colorado Rockies roster, where you can never be sure if it was a one-off screw-up or if they're really just that bad.
I was at the game in left field! It was kinda funny except it looked like he hurt himself getting off the fence…
Cardinals worst error should've been Arenado's bad throw to first in the 9th vs the Mets which led to their comeback
Or I believe same game when Gallegos didn’t cover 1st to end game, missed and allowed a run to score
I wanted to choke Gallegos on that play
@@austinhope1430 same
he could've tagged the runner heading to third. As a Cardinals fan, that game was painful to watch
Came here to comment the exact same 😂😢
I think the worst error for the Astros was during Game 2 of the ALCS against the Yankees when pitcher Framber Valdez committed a double error on a potential double play comeback grounder to him, allowing both runners on base to score. Fortunately for Valdez, he not only still won that game, those were about the only two runs he allowed in the entire postseason.
No it's either Altuve's throwing error(s) in the 2020 ALCS vs the Rays, or Correa's error in the 2015 ALDS vs the Royals.
@@sams5780 2022 season
@@sams5780 2022 only bro
@@bradydavis3121 I missed that
You knew the Padres HAD to be Hosmer. I'd agree that was the worst one even above being on the wrong damn side of 1st because that directly and immediately lead to losing the game.
Or that infield pop fly thar was missed by Hosmer back in 2018 or 2017 I think. You can find it on RUclips. He miss the catch and it was a walk-off win for the opposing team lol. Hosmer is NOT worth 280 or 300 million that he finessed the Padres for.
The Hosmer miss in this video is not even clearly an error, when the broadcast switches to show the field, the ball is already past Hosmer and the announcers tell us that it was off his glove.
You're right, the time Hosmer crossed the basepath to try to cover 1st on the foul side was the worst Padres error of 2022 - maybe even the worst MLB error this century. I mean, anybody can judge a hop wrong and boot a grounder, but only an 8-year-old learning to play 1st base could ever run into foul territory like that.
People obsess so much over Tatis that they’ll put his picture in the thumbnail of “teams worst errors” of the 2022 season and he didn’t even play 1 game during the season…
This video is wrong on so many levels. For one, the Tigers worst is by far the 3 or 4 error play to let the twins walk it off
exactly!!
calm down
@wsg he doesn’t seem hysterical to me just stating a fact. Maybe don’t be so sensitive? Just because someone says someone is wrong doesn’t mean they are being over critical
@@astros7242 ok bro calm down, when were u even in the conversation
the fact that the braves worst error was a missed back hander by riley (very very rare) in a situation that doesn’t matter, shows how good their defense is
ruclips.net/video/4ccUDrB_8jQ/видео.html
The Braves are ELITE
No, it shows how bad the choices as "worst errors" by the uploader is.
@@stupidas9466 who cares braves defense was and is elite
That wasn't their worst error. That was a ridiculous choice by whoever did this video and wouldn't even be scored an error on some nights.
The dodgers needs to be the Trea Turner error in game 2 of the NLDS. That completely changed the momentum of the series and arguably lost it for them
Regarding the Phillies, what Rhys Hoskins did in game 5 of the world series is maybe the most costly error of their franchise ever. Dropping the ball meant that he gives up the game and with the Phillies up 2-2 in the series prior to that, they could have very much ended up winning game 7 and winning the WS.
If it sounds like Im pissed about this play its because Im a Phillies fan and went to this game.
Just remember that you would have done the same thing. Everyone makes mistakes.Even the professionals in the biggest of moments
Well, at least some of these were actually "worst error of season"
Pretty solid season defensively for the Braves if that's their worst error
anyone else notice how fast he cut the end of the dodgers clip? lmao
What about it
Came here to comment that haha every team had a relay but not them.
Prob a dodgers fan
Cardinals is undoubtedly when arenado botched a throw to first and the Mets came back to win it (love that game as a Mets fan btw) and for the Red Sox what about when story botched a throw to first that would’ve been the game ender, but it gave the rays a chance to walk it off, which they did
I can relate to the pitcher throwing to first. I've played quarterback my whole life. I can hit a mosquito with a football. But I cannot throw a baseball accurately to save my life.
Throwing a baseball is hard when you specialize in a particular throwing motion. The feel is so foreign.
hi
Jays worst was the collision in CF with Bo and Springer in game 2 of the wildcard
That was ruled a hit.
I was at that game, I’m still scarred
We don't talk about game 2
@@kevincanning3051 Blue Jays fans don't talk about game two the same way that we Mariners fans don't talk about... those next three games.
@Erik Hinrichsen you guys have nothing to feel bad about. Ms held their own against the eventual world Champs and had things gone differently would have gone to a 5th game.
That Tigers one is REALLY wild because each camera angle tells an entirely different tale.
The Jays Wildcard error quite literally cost us our season, how us that not here
Idk if it an error. But when gurriels assisted on hr to the mariners
The one where Bichette and Springer got hurt? Lmao. That wasn’t an error.
@A.B. to be fair I never actually saw it, I heard it happen on the radio but I don't want to have nightmares so I've never watched the play itself😂
@@SugarFreeLatte well, it definitely wasn’t an error.
@A.B. you definitely don't gotta bite my balls off for it either lmao, my bad
Yankee error was crazy. He had it in his glove and somehow Judge blinded his view…but he still had it in his glove 🤦♂️
As a Dodgers fan, it is without question back to back errors in the 2020 WS game 4
It’s funny to see how no one can agree that this video is correct
I'm sure there were heated debates with all the choices the Phillies had for them
5:55 I believe this occurred on Keith Hernandez Day at Citi Field, when his number 17 was retired, and we hear in Gary Cohen’s call the echo of Vin Scully’s in 1986: “Here comes -Knight- Nído, and the Mets win it!”
Nice, I noticed the Scully call homage too
What about when Aaron Hicks missed the fly out and moped for a few seconds and allowed a few runs to score?
During a tight race
I hate Hicks so much. He such a waste of time.
That’s one of the worst errors that I’ve seen on tv
Shows the strength of my Mets that our “worst error” was a meaningless play in a blowout by a player we don’t have anymore
LFGM
Strength of your Mets losing a 10.5 game lead lmfao
@@braves4life25 strength of the braves losing to the Phillies 💪. I hope you really enjoyed the division cus u guys got embarrassed 🤣
@@braves4life25 Considering that the Phillies pulled a General Sherman through Atlanta on their way to the World Series, I’m not sure what you’re crowing about, but if the Braves hadn’t sucked ass for two months, the Mets wouldn’t have had a 10.5-game lead to begin with. Hard to claim they “lost” the lead while playing at a 96-win pace. Even in their supposedly awful September, they went 15-11, which is a 93-win pace. The Mets were pretty steady Eddies all year; it’s just that the Braves overslept and had to drive 113mph just to catch up. And even then, it was a tie that only turned into a division win because of the stupid new rules-one that the Braves came _this_ 🤏 close to blowing by almost getting swept by the Marlins at the very end. And the Braves ended up with one more loss than the Mets anyway, so…hooray for hollow victories?
@@stnbl1569 your mets have the highest payroll in baseball besides the dodgers right now, yet they can't even keep a .500 record. talk about getting embarrassed.
Imagine losing an NRFI play with Sheets dripping that ball😂
The one for the Mariners is fine but the worst one definitely has to be the one from May 6 against TB where a blooper got hit up the 3B line, Suarez tried to throw out the runner at 2nd and chucked the ball straight down into the pitcher's mound before it could be picked up and desperately thrown back to home plate where a runner from 3rd was trying to score. The late throw led to a late tag which saw our catcher dislocate his shoulder, requiring surgery and missing the entire rest of the season. All stemming from one errant throw. from essentially 3rd to 2nd base.
Weird how the Dodgers error is the only one that isn’t replayed at least once and it was probably the most meaningful one
Jays worst error was def the one that lost them game 2 in the wc
This video brings me back to when I was about 5 years old at my second ever baseball practice when the coach taught us to get under the ball and catch it with both hands.
Blue Jays should have been the Bichette/Springer collision. That literally ended their season.
not an error but ok
There’s something strangely magical about the “Ohh!!” of the crowd on every one of these. God I love baseball
For Red Sox, it should’ve been Story’s bad throw to Dalbec that would’ve ended the game against the Rays. The next batter would end up hitting a walkoff home run
8:05 To be Fair, it was the only sunny day in seattle ever. I think it got in their eyes.
The worst error probably should've been based on win probability added rather than (what I'm assuming is) runs allowed. Because I find it hard to believe the Cardinals worst error was allowing 1 run to score while up by 8 runs in the top of the 8th.
I have no idea what it was based on the Yankees error on here didn’t even cost them a run.
I was assuming “worst” meant most comical basically - but some of these aren’t even that bad.
Thanks, Punchout. My comment: The information in this video is so distant from the truth, I have no trouble knowing why Punch Out has only 20k subscribers.
This is just "one random error by every team"
Josh Donaldson not hustling vs the Tigers, classic.
Alternate title:
My little league team in a nutshell
Thanks for reminding me that Oscer Mercado existed on my baseball team this year
As a Phillies fan the brewers had to loose to make the playoffs Guaranteed and seeing that live made me flip tf out Lmaooo
It can’t be their worst error if it’s a 10-run game.
I love the updated uniforms ~ never did like the knee/shin pants with the socks.
I remember that Yankees error like yesterday. It was so much better seeing it live 😈
That Tiger’s error gets me every time lol
Blue jays fan- only watched this video to see which one of Bichette's errors would be featured. So many to choose from!
Game 2 mariners
And he wants 7 million 😂😂
I don't even blame the dude on the Guardians for that error, he hit a sunny patch right as he was about to catch it
I was there at Pirates vs SF, the Pirates had a few errors that day and i felt how Crawford thought i was an out until it dropped
Angels' 14-game losing streak and the subsequent weeks long losing streak when Shohei Ohtani wasn't the starting pitcher were their biggest errors this season
I love that the White Sox were a part of 3 lowlights in a row 😂😂
The Orioles one makes me appreciate Mancini saving the world series for the Stros even more.
Cardinals when Sosa threw a beam right into the umps face
Lol I love this video because it shows that even big leagues frick it up sometimes
If we're including the playoffs, then the blue Jays definitely deserve the collide to let the mariners tie on the 8-1 game.
Also the Red Sox guy missing the ball and shaking around isn't on here?! What kind of list is this?! Probably the most notable error of the decade so far.
2 classic hosmer moments starting with the padres error and then the rollover to 2nd right after
pirates worst error in history is when javier baez ran back to home and the first baseman didnt step on first and baez got to second
The LA Angels should have been the one vs Mariners where the pitchers tripped and allowed Haggerty to score and Moore to be safe at third
chisox one, it’s a double error, Rick Manning on the guardians tv broadcast let slip “you gotta be sheeting me,” after the play-ya know, for Gavin Sheets, or something like that lol
The astros worst error is when they recruited Jose Altuve
The fact the tigers vs twins game winner on an error explains the tigers entire season.
Twins: Putting Pagan in to pitch...
The Tampa error was completely off. In my opinion it should’ve been the botched catch in right field that got Trey Mancini that inside the Parker in his final game.
11:38 “gold glove”
can not wait for baseball to come back
I was at that Mets and Marlins game and I missed my train ride home, fun times
That error by Corey Seager isn’t the worse one by a Texas Rangers player. Nelson Cruz, and that’s all I got to say.
A lot of these are pretty tame tbh
How is Jarren Duran losing a pop fly against the Jays allowing an inside the park grand slam not over Rob Refsnyder dropping a pop up (coming from a Sox fan)
Because that technically “wasn’t an error” since he never touched the ball with his glove. It’s such a dumb rule lmao
10:12 this clip gives me PTSD for how awful those AppleTV broadcasts were
Of course you use Christian walker, the best defensive 1rst basemen by far 😂
I thought for sure Josh Lowe taking a baseball to the face would be on here for the Rays lmao
For the Astros, the worse error (from the stand point of boneheadness) was the Pena flip to Altuve in game two of the WS.
Not really, that error didn't cost us anything and we still ended up dominating that game. The worst errors are the ones that lose you the game.
@@MaddDogg316 I really wish people would read the entire comment.
I’m surprised the Rays worst error wasn’t the Mancini inside the park homer off of Lowe’s face.
Also surprised the Gunnar Henderson inside the park homer wasn’t the worst for the Nationals, when the ball popped out of the left fielder’s hand
love how the Brewers was just a past ball on a poor throw to first base lol
The Eric Hosmer redemption arc is ironic in this. Has the worst error for the Pads followed in the video by hitting Seattle's worst. lol
The redsox error just explains our whole season
a lot of these dropped fly balls are just simply a matter of not using two hands, it's basics
Love this collection of boneheaded fielding and throwing plays that would leave a Little Leaguer embarrased.
Why is the player on the thumbnail of a video about the 2022 season a player who didn’t play in the 2022 season 😭 then again, I guess the way that Tatís handled the season was the biggest error for the Padres in itself
the white sox can take comfort in the fact they had the worst error in the coolest uniforms
One of the worst errors for the jays was in 2021 when the most basic routine plays ever. 2nd base throws to 1st to end the game but Vladdy drops it.. we go on to extras and lose that game.
Jays don't make the playoffs that year by- you guessed it- one lousy freaking game..
bahahahha the outfielders dropping the easy fly balls is like the story of my youth baseball career
I already know what the Red Sox worst error is gonna be and I just clicked the video.
worst play for tampa bay had to be the dropped ball in right field vs the orioles that lead to Trey mancini in the park home run.
Blue jays has to be the bichette springer collide in wildcard and allows 3 runs
You're right, I was expecting that one.
That wasn't scored as an error. It was ruled a double.
Red Sox had to be way back when the 2nd baseman bobbled the ball in game 7 of the World Series
St. Louis cardinals was probably the best fail with them actually being able to field it despite him missing it with the glove 10:41
I think the blue jays one was the one against Seattle in the first round of the playoffs
** From a jays fan**
Nah New York yanks has to be in the World Series against the Mets.
Lol @ the braves announcer. Literal definition of a routine play
knew this White Sox team was doomed when that Gavin sheets error happened
i think on the orioles one the guy was out. the runner never touched first until after the first baseman had the ball in his hand and his foot was on the bag
I think the white Sox has to be when Adam Engel dropped the ball against the Orioles in the 9th that led to a walk off home run
1 fielder is a fielder, 2 fielders is half a fielder, 3 fielders is no fielder
I already knew it would be muncy’s error at 2nd against the Phillies
The Yankees one was 100% hicks dropping that ball in left field
You could probably make a 5 min compilation on hosmer alone
White Sox be out here benefitting from half the leagues worst errors and still ended with a .500 record
Blue Jays should have been the Wild Card outfield collision
I swear the Red Sox should be either the Tapai inside the park Gs or the Joey Strikeouts Triple
