  • When Forrest Gump was released in 1994, the world was changed. It wasn't just a movie but an American and worldwide phenomena. With so many memorable scenes and locations, it was challenging to choose which ones to revisit. We chose to visit the river location of Vietnam War, from the movie. Much seems to have changed at the location, in the nearly 30 years since the film's production left. Most notably, some trees and mountains are missing. Not all is what it appears. There was a heavy amount of CGI added in post-production to the war scenes. Thus, some trees and the mountains were never there. The body of water, which plays the river, as well as the actual vegetation is very familiar. Come join us as we take a closer look!
