Yes, definitely. I enjoy the natural wood tones, but it would definitely pop more with white paint.

im thinking about putting a white background on my sublimation print instead of paint to see if that makes it pop

Do you have to mirror the image if you’re putting it on the wood?
Only if you have words or an image that looks best facing the "right" way. Then you definitely want to mirror.
Did the wood warp? It looks like it warped from the first press
Yes, a little bit. After it cooled down, it got its shape back. You can always put something on top of it while it cools down to make sure that it returns to its normal shape.
