One of the last opportunities we've had to see Rempe play top flight speed, I think. A relic!
Great match. Thanks for posting. Two commentators who play ends up with this situation where two are either arguing or firing options all over the place which seems more about their ability than calling the action. Tough balance to find.
Thanks for posting They both played awesome . Always loved Rempe’s game
Glad you enjoyed it
Don't know the best way to explain it, but there's something particularly special about watching one of the 80s/90s top players shooting with one of today's top players. Rempe and co blazed a lot of trails for today's pros, who in turn took pool to an even higher level. Yeah it's corny I guess, but still very cool.
We think the same way! Thank you!
@@AccuStats I enjoy seeing these older matches and the players to.
I expected Rempe going to win at the last shot But Mika made an amazing bank shot.. He's sensational!
Possibly some of the best back to back kicks I've ever seen in tournament play @15:30
Great nail biter! Thx Acc-Stats
Glad you enjoyed!
Oh, I remember this match well, seeing young Mika for the first time!
Great ending to a great match, with a bank shot that was one for the ages.
I only wish that Accu-Stats hadn't taken a dinner break, and had recorded the Hot Seat match between Buddy Hall and Tang Hoa. The ref missed calling a clear foul on Tang when the match was tied at 9-9, but Buddy just kept his composure, made an impossible bank and ran out the match. He then crushed Tang in the finals in a rematch.
King James and the Iceman... I'm here for it
Can’t wait, especially since Jim lives 5 miles from me. Remember the VA Billiards, Jim?
seeing Mika jump around made me laugh lol, he's so young here and couldn't contain his excitement,
Great match !!
Super fantastic match!! Thank! (the green cloth is much better to see).
Yes, those Diamond blue cloth tables just aren't as nice.
All the footage you could show before the match and you choose to show a spoiler with Mika celebrating his win. Thanks!
The matches are 22 years old. Let's face it- it's not THAT much of a spoiler.
@@neuvocastezero1838 Eh, still! It's new to me / us!
Thank you for this! Just a perfect match to give me while I just got the flu. :)
Spoiler alert...the intro.
👏 a roller-coaster match.
awesome!
Glad you think so!
0:57 I know who won before watching
can you post more videos of mike sigel and king james please
Rempe was one of the greatest all around players ever
When he said "Remember Cosmo?", I thought he was talking about Kramer.
What an ending...! Even though I hate to see the King lose.
Mika worked for it.
Great as this match was, the hot seat match between Buddy Hall and Tang Hoa was just as thrilling, and it was almost determined by a no-rail foul by Hoa that the ref didn't call when the match was tied at 9-9. But Buddy stepped up, made an impossible jacked up cross-corner bank shot, cleared the table to go on the hill, and broke and ran the last rack to claim the hot seat. He then crushed Hoa in the finals in what was an anticlimactic rematch. Too bad that Accu-Stats didn't record that hot seat match, even though it was played on the TV table. I was sitting in the front row and everyone saw that Hoa no-rail foul, but of course we all had to keep our mouths shut.
Damn. Tough to get position on that last 9
Goes to show everyone, even one of the best of all-time can overdraw the cueball.
Please correct the description, Mika is not from Iceland, he's from Finland.
Thank you for catching our mistake!
Immonen is from Finland, not Iceland. He is the Iceman though :)
Thank you for catching our mistake!
Nice
wow rempe heart just shattered big time.
Didnt know Mika been around that long. What was his 21 here?
He is almost 50 now. Time runs fast.
What a great match. Thanks, Pat! I love Mika to death, and wish he could show some of that youthful exuberance today! He still has an awesome game, but gets a bit down when things don't go his way. Jay Helfert has to be one of the worst commentators ever! He overstates too much, is often wrong, and so very full of himself. You couldn't really call the conversation after the match an interview. They refused to let Mika get a world in edgewise! lol
1:40:08- WOW
Dammit the luck is all I can say...too cool ;-)
0:25 Is that a young, overweight Jeremy Jones?
yes, it's him
It would have been an excellent match except for the endless boring commentary aimed at beginners!
If Jimmy hadn't pounded that 5 on the final rack 🤦♂️ Just needed that angle on the 7..
