this was roughly when i first learned about pool via espn, couldnt wait to try the game out, our cable remote was a giant box with mechanical buttons it was attached to the cable receiver box via a thick black cord, those were the days lol.
I noticed that someone called 'pay-per-view', 'pay-TV' instead, i though pay-per-view was out at this time but maybe not or maybe the name wasnt popular yet

At 5 or 6 years old, i was so convinced, my next purchase for 50cents if I recall, talk about scam marketing and expensive, but also the reason why it didnt break the bank and thus the point of a lot of hard currency existed in the public's hand and went a long way as it should, because america back then was more a WHITE MAN'S country and everyone basically worked, so productivity job 1, was also the peak wealth created in the late 70s in terms of solvency and sovereignty.. and ultimately the spending formula of top down economics to beat soviet communism where ONCE AGAIN, ol DUMMY american joe and Sally got duped as well as I, paying up that ....50 cents???, from my mom's insta-question for you = 1 + ice cream man = 15 - 25cents BUT ITS THE LATEST GREATEST ROCKET POPSICLE, bicentennial etc etc....50 wasnt a problem, just not typical, but who cares when it could buy you a pack of smokes, a gallon of gas and damn near a coke, hamburger and fries at McDonalds or definitely a 40oz of Lucky lager beer for the rare local street wino WHO WASNT LOOKED AT WITH PITY AND DUMMIES HANDING OVER POCKET CHANGE, or dummies like me throwing that 50 cent rocket pop through the air, convinced to the buhjesus it could fly....
Later that afternoon, informing the older kid about the failed test flight, only to be told back....i did it wrong.
Here comes the relentless ice cream man a half hour later and the older kid getting what my intel saw of course what was not a economic policy i was familiar with but I was enviously awed....his pops coming out the front door, the irish trash of the overall anglo euro conservative neighborhood, push mowers, etc etc....work day finished, cheapskate pall mall cig in his mouth for a man and wife family of chain smokers both and not a problem at all except for the fact its pall mall and just one more reason to solidify a phoney good neighbor policy of minding our own business and I pledge allegiance to, but the obvious disconnect of isolation quarantine ostracization all in one and tolerated of course because obviously there was no possible way they could ever be commies....
That tan brown wallet unfolded and not wide open because thats the point, the paper currency of 2 notes handed to his son, the son's non grata deposit grab and PAPER currency....two and 50cent change back that its possible my report says, he may have been allowed to retain the transaction derivatives but not sure exactly as the now BREAKING NEWS and further report, 3 rocket pops, one for him, pops and moms who you rarely saw except for her unusual orange short ginger hair ALWAYS and always jean shorts with a moo moo top and PALL MALL in her closed lips, sternly bending over to pick up the newspaper if hubby didnt get home first.
When irish eyes are smiling was what I was allowed to gaze as now walking inside the house for 5 pm dinner and the policy guarantee of default co-op you dont get to play with "him" and his associations.
I was determined though and a few minutes later I announced i accidentally something outside front wasn't sure forgot or something and...... without permission and tractor beamed without thought, permission granted or not was inaudible and mein eyes SAW THE GLORY....them smiling eyes too, experienced multiple failed launch point attempts, as pops coming over to inspect and chastise and endict a unfunded liability case for space agency slush fund and scandal damage control for what appeared to be curious interest but after his son throwing it the 4rth time, NOW THE CURRENCY VALUE of those two notes, justified a traitorous capitol punishment trial but execution spared in return for rocket program seizure and son and dad turning the corner of the new recent ford pinto purchase annnnd......

Yes. Everything a sitting duck and the first shot is straight in with basically a stop shot pattern. The magic rack let guys do that and theyd start running 10+ every other day

@@SpaceboyBilliardsbro I used the magic rack on a bar table and ran 17 out of 20 racks. I was getting bored to be honest with you. It’s cheating and I don’t really care for it.

1:36:21 awful. just awful. it's simply amazing how bad most "pros" were at even the most basic of fundamentals. then missing a 9 ball that an apa 5 would make 9 out of 10 times. awful. just a bunch of road players flailing around the table. everything they learned was from losing money. nobody trained to actually be a good player back then. nobody
