Hey, ESPN: There are A LOT of us that would rather see this than stupid Cornhole! I can play Cornhole drunk, but not 9 ball! 😂😂😂 Edit: I just got done watching these matches and they were excellent! Thank you! Keep ‘em comin’, please!
These are great players this was roughly when i first learned about pool via espn, couldnt wait to try the game out, our cable remote was a giant box with mechanical buttons it was attached to the cable receiver box via a thick black cord, those were the days lol. I noticed that someone called 'pay-per-view', 'pay-TV' instead, i though pay-per-view was out at this time but maybe not or maybe the name wasnt popular yet
That's probably what started Earl's PTSD with crowd distraction, was always the cameraman with the huge camera in front of every pocket that you're shooting in! 😂
Thank you very much for posting this, Tim. I cannot tell you how much I love watching these classic matches! This is one of the greatest uploads, regarding pool, I have ever come across. 💯👍

Hey Tim, I just watched the end of Varner vs Rempe, them Hall vs Rempe finals, I cannot get this video to open, Thanks for these, you don't know how much It means to me
Damn, Varner used to break the balls SO hard! Especially for a guy with not a lot of mass. His break at the time would be amazing with today's slippery cloth.
I don’t know about that. A table just being a diamond doesn’t make it play any harder. I played on diamonds that were 7’ and 9’ and they played very forgiving. Same on any brand of table, with some playing tuff, others forgiving.
@1:47:18 I miss the days of smoking in a pool hall/tournament event. I mean we can vape inside the pool hall I goto, and smoke dryflower weed and cigarettes after hours, but not during normal hours when the average customer would be mad lol
