I was so excited.. until I spotted the leak. Now I have to start all over.

when starting the flare nut turn it backwards while pushing down, when you feel the slight drop stop and turn it forward. do not apply a wrench till you have it at least 2 turns in and yes wiggling the line while turning helps ALOT!

Video was well done. I thought from the looks of things (without a shop manual) I was going to have to raise the engine to do this job, because all the components looked impossible to work around. Thank you for demonstrating how easy it really is.

I did it! It's not killer. It is a pain in the butt but I got it done. I took the air filter out and removed it from the throttle body, that allowed room to reach for the atached high pressure hose to remove the fastener. 18mm short wrench! . Then I removed the pump, then the antifreeze reservoir, removed my belt it was covered in steering fluid. Once all connections were removed I went underneath.
I almost got it out without removing subframe I needed 2 more inches ugh. Cracked out the breaker bar with a 21 mm socket. I used a screw up screw down jack (typical ones in the trunk by the spare). I used that to lower/raise subframe. I didn't want to use a hydraulic jack not much room and I felt the control was better with the scissor jack.
All in all it went extremely well. I'm a little sore and stiff but it's all good.

i did this job with a floor hack and stands . i removed the air cleaner housing and was able to remove the pressure line but to the rack from the top and reinstalled the same was . with no left it is difficult to remove the line/ pipe assembly but it can be done from the ground jacked up.

a 15mm and 18mm 5 sided FLARE nut wrench is well worth the money!
These high pressure line nuts (called flare nuts) round off if you look at them funny.
A set of flare nut wrenches can be found for about $20 and is worth twice the money easily!!!!

Listen people gotta relax just because he has a lift. Look as a mechanic especially hood mechanic we learned from country and hispanic mechanics who taught us how to properly read the manual and not only find "anchor points" on a frame man. Jack the damn frame up and get some damn 3 tons or 4tons jack stands and youll be fine trust me. Personally though I would of just attached a $60.00 harbor freight engine support bar! Support thr engine jack the dang car up and lower it on the anchor point of the frame with some wood underneath those stands hell use even two stands per side for my safety, support the engine underneath as well with a jack and drop that frame

Update: Tried it on a parking lot. Put your jacks on the frame and high enough for you to go under completely. Then you can easily raise the subframe with a small list jack. Note if you have a cheap jack, it will try to roll back lol. Hardest thing so far is aligning the line on the steering gear, its an 18mm but for some reason any way i tried connecting it, the line would begin to bend or the nut looked crooked. Going retry tomorrow
