Review of the Sanlida Archery Royal X8
This is a budget 68" long flat bow based on the hill style with a more modern shelf and construction seen in the 1950s-1960s when Fiberglass was adopted as a structural material for recreational bows.

True analysis again. The kind of leather grip is held on by tape. I took the fake leather off and cleaned the stave. It works fine. Maybe I will put a proper grip on it. If you buy this bow, you'll need some goo gone .
Non structural components like these can be cheapened
Excellent - Thanks!
😎👍
how are u great at archery even with hill style longbow😀
He didn’t specify it’s hill style just Howard hill inspired because there is slight reflex reflex
It’s a reflex deflex
@@marcellusbrutus3346 no it ain't
@@17yearoldwarbowarcherslight reflex deflex
Oh nice
It’s a long bow because of the way the tips move, and it’s length.
It’s got heavy hand shock eh? Fiberglas is heavy for tips.
What about jap bows
Lots of historical bows are then longbows including Cambodian Indian native Aztec Iron Age etc
Warbow more shock
@@busurbusur2381 when you look at a child’s long bow it looks like native bows. The term you mean to say is English long bow and none of these bows are English longbows. They are long bows of other origins.
@@siberiaacoustic heavy limb tips travelling almost straight forward equals hand shock.
ben roth said get Discord pretty please
I’m too old school for that
@@AnkunFang lmao who are you are u jack fan on his 2nd account?
@@AnkunFang if you are him U need to get it mannnn pleaseeeee rashid from Al Mubarizun Archery said it would be cool if you join.join traditional archery group/server you will fit RIGHT in
Hey bro! I used to watch your old hitchhiking channel back in the day. Super cool to see that you’re still alive & healthy. Kind of funny to watch everything back 8 years later now that I’m in my 20s my perception of all of it is so different. Cheers man
Cheers to you too! Thanks for the throwback memories
@@HistoricalWeapons Have you ever thought about making a recap video? I know its been a while but it'd be super cool to hear your perspective on it now that almost a decade has past.
You have good timing and good form. At that range, no straw target will be able to run away.
Thanks man
Is a reflex deflex / deflex reflex a longbow?
The problem here is that the term longbow is ambigious. fundamentally if it just means long bow, then yes. Some bowyers use the term Hybrid to describe non straight longbows but ultimately an American longbow does not have to be a perfectly straight bow, or else any bow with some set wouldnt be a longbow
It would be interesting to hear what particular design characteristics seem to match the different draw styles.
Speed shooting with Slavic draw likes shelfless bows and torque less thumb draw appears to be better optimized for shelf bows
good video
nice
This is an awesome review! I was always interested in archery... I might consider really getting into it soon.
Do you have a video explaining Mediterranean draw, Slavic draw, etc and whatever katra(?) is? If not, a video like that, explaining them, their differences, ups, downs, why they used vs other types, etc would be gold.
Katra is when you twist the bow out of the way of the arrow upon release. Seen with short bows and “”horse bows””
Yes he has them in videos as well as most clubs will teach them all to you because different draw have different purposes.
@@chrisruzsa2798 ty for the explanation
Good stuff
Yes
great video thanks 🙂
Thanks for watching
Looks like the Ragim wolf in shape and grip design
All reproductions of 1960s
Nice bows
its relative simplicity also allows it to be converted in to a crossbow
Agreed

I wonder how much Sanlida is paying these guys to review their bow? Nearly every archery channel in YT is reviewing the same three Sanlida bows and giving them positive reviews. I'm guessing they are paying them at least $2000 per review.
Actually they pay me nothing
50 lbs on bare fingers.... Now that's someone who's hardened their finger tips 😂 I know you shoot war bows with bare fingers. You have any feeling left in your finger tips? Not meant as a slight genuine question.
Lol no. There are very good benefits for women
No more bows
The entitlement is strong with this one.
These bows are boring
Oh nice
